Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon, Welcome on the Culture News.
My name is David, so we wrote and I have
the pleasure to have today on iHeartRadio on the Culture News,
a wonderful, wonderful music audist. His name is Mighty Musa.
Let me spell it for you. It's mighty and Mussa
spelled Musa m Usa. He's a wonderful music audist who

(00:25):
has released recently a new song called the Same Very Training.
Right now Spotify Charts, where, by the way, our podcast
and the interview will be posted. We are so glad
to have him today, the one and on name mister
Mighty Mussa. How are you today, sir?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Good morning, Good morning David. I'm feeling pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Thank you so much for being with us. So the
first question I have for you, can you please tell
us who are you, where you're from? And how did
you start music?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Oh? Yes, yes, a great question. So in regards to
who I am again, I am Mighty Musa, you know,
but I do go by Musa as well, and my
family's from Sierra Leone, West Africa. You know. I grew
up in Jersey, after you know, going to college in Oklahoma,
I'd worked for law firms and done all these different things.
But my big passion is helping people identify their fear
and overcome them. And so what ultimately helped me get

(01:18):
into music is that it's always been a dream of mine.
And as I sat down at the law firm with
some of my clients, they told me how they went
their whole life and didn't go after their dreams. And
they kept telling me, make sure you go after yours.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
So, you know, with a.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Brave heart, I just said, you know, I got to
jump out there. Music's in my heart. I got to
go after it. And now we're here on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
And then you are indeed with your beautiful music, and
we love your passion, we love your devotion to this
wonderful art. For mighty moussais with us with this new
song the same. So who are the audiensts who have
inspired you?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah? Great question. You know. A major artist has inspired
me is de Vido again as an afrobeat artist, but
a lot more than that because he's international. You know,
he's really shown how great they can take the genre,
you know, And again I respect his background, I respect
his work ethic, and again what he's done for the
culture and you know, really merging genres. But I also

(02:20):
highly respect Drake and that's someone I look forward to
working with as well because of his transparency and his
music and even the song right here, the Same. You know,
I'm giving a piece of my heart where I'm saying.
You know, a lot of us, a lot of us
don't want to fall in love because we're scared. But
sometimes we still keep a window open because if you're
like me, you probably have one good last chance before

(02:41):
you give it up.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
And indeed, you are absolutely right, and I love what
you're doing with your passion. So now fast forwarding to
this new track of yours, this new song called the Same.
Just said to beat the story of that song.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yeah yeah, kind of like what I mentioned before is
the fact that, you know, it's really hard dating right now,
you know, and a lot of us, after a while,
you know, we kind of put up our walls. You know,
we have post traumatic stress from a bad experience or
a toxic relationship before, and especially because I live in Miami,
after a while, it feels like you're dating the same
person with a different face. You know, It's almost like

(03:19):
everybody's the same and so there's a line in the
song where I keep saying, you know, I think you're
the same. I think you're the same, And then I said,
I hope you're not the same, because, you know, I
really want to encourage people to never give up hope
on love because my parents were married for fifty plus
years and it's beautiful and we have an incredible family.
But we also have to protect ourselves so that we

(03:40):
don't get hurt so bad that we just never open
ourselves up to love again.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Wow, I really appreciate that. I really appreciate the beautiful
message and my regards to your parents. You know, the
most difficulty marriage, we say out the first fifty years, you.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Know, but after that easy sailing me they had.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
That ass that. So congratulations really do them. So before
we start to say goodbye to each other, what are
your next projects?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, so I have another incredible song called for Life,
and I'm putting together an afrobeat's EP, you know, and
potentially looking or planning right now a tour over in Nigeria.
So working with the promoters right now, and it's picking
up a lot of theme on TikTok as well as Instagram.
So We're very excited about that and touching the people

(04:28):
over in the motherland.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Well, will we be there to support you in to
play definitely your music. You still have a minute, would
you like to say a message to our audience or
to add something about your music?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, you know a lot of my music is obviously
focused on motivation, but also the music in itself is
encouraging people to be transparent, to be real with themselves,
but also hopefully in motivate people to really go after
their dreams. You know, this is just one of my dreams,
but I hope that as people listen to it, they
do follow in love, they do go after the big

(05:03):
dreams that's in their heart, and that they always stay brave,
bold and fearless.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Well, you you exactly said what your music is about.
It is bold and fearless, beautiful, beautiful music. Ladies and gentlemen.
My name is David, So we have the pleasure to
have to don'tnight how twenty on the Country News, wonderful
music autists named Mighty Musa Mighty Musa mussa spelled musa.

(05:29):
He is a wonderful autist. Where has what is a
new song called the same training Now? Everywhere. We're so
glad to have him the same. You can now hear
the music, with a statute for more music. It's a
beautiful day in New York City.
