Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon, Welcome on the Colture News.
My name is David Seviro, and I have the pleasure
to have today on iHeartRadio wonderful wonderful singer. Her name
is Tina Win. Tina win Win is spelled lack win
w i n. She's absolutely wonderful. She has an EP
(00:22):
and of course a new single called how to Be Cool.
She's going to tell us all about it, and she
has recently also saying that the movie Maker magazine ask
her Polly as a south By Southwest Festival, very important
film festival. We say hello to our friends over there.
Right now over the phone is the one and only
(00:43):
Tina Win. Tina, how are you today?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I'm doing great? How is everyone? How are you?
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I'm doing amazing. Thank you so much for being with us.
So can you please tell us a little bit more
about yourself, like where are you from and how did
you start music in the first place?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Absolutely well, first, I am from the Jersey Shore. I
live on the water and I started music at eight
years old because one of my friend's mothers thought I
could sing, which I thought was hilarious because I didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
And then you did wonderful and how the singing started
for you?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Actually, well I was. I remember I was in my
kitchen and I took out the Yellow Pages and just
flipped flipped through and found an amazing opera coach. So
at eight years old, I started learning opera and went
from there.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Wow, good for you, good for you, good for you.
So now you know it says on your website Romanian
Fire American Nights. Can you tell us more about it?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Ooh yeah, I was adopted from Romania. I was very
very lucky, so I have a big a lot of
me is Romanian of course, However I have the biggest
heart of an American. I like to say that I
am both Romanian and American, and you know, both best
(02:16):
of both worlds, and.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Indeed in that that's what also makes you so unique.
And we're so glad that you are who you are.
And we say hello, of course to your to your
adoptive parents who made that beautiful sacrifice for you, if
I may say, uh, and we're so glad to have you.
This is Tina Wynn. So now fast forwarding to your
(02:40):
new single called how to Be Cool? So tell us
how to be cool?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Well, how to be Cool? It's something. It's something you're
not born with, but it's an identity. Being cool is
being who you are and not letting others be afraid
of it. I'm not really trying to tell people how
to be cool, but more like it's okay to be yourself.
(03:09):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Absolutely? Absolutely? And so what was the experience about performing
at this Movie Maker Magazine Oscar party.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Well, this was actually my first first performance with my
own music, so that was very, very, very exciting. I mean,
everyone showed up, the crowd was going crazy, and I
performed three of my original songs and it was unbelievable.
It was supposed to be, well, wasn't supposed to be.
(03:40):
It was actually one of the biggest parties there. It
was incredible, and I am so thankful for Movie Maker
Magazine for hosting me.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
They were so wonderful and indeed they are wonderful, and
you are so wonderful with this new song how to
Be Cool. Who are the audiences who have inspired you,
who have helped you to shape yourself?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
If I may say, well, first, I would like to
shout out to my wonderful producer, Joey Auch, who if
it wasn't for him, this would never have been made.
But also I give a lot of credit to my influencers. Well,
I would say Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac is one of
(04:24):
my biggest, biggest loves when it comes to music. And
also Kesha. You can hear a little bit of Kusha
in my new stuff coming up. But she's wild, She's crazy,
and I love I love that about her. So I
think how to Be Cool has a little bit of
her in it. And also, you know what, Amy Winehouse
(04:47):
was the biggest inspiration for this song.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
In the congratulations for these beautiful songs. So what are
your next project? What is next for you?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, what's next is very exciting. I just got back
from LA and I was working with a new producer.
His name is Skyler Mones, and we created Freestyle in
the studio, four songs, all dance. However, I'm trying to
make a new style of pop music. So what I'm
(05:19):
doing is taking dance tracks and adding one instrument from
a different genre and plugging it in. And you know what,
it's actually, it's been incredible. It's been working and I
am so so excited for my audience and for the
world to hear what's going to be going on and
(05:39):
hopefully going on for a very long time.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
And you are going to be here with us for
a very long time. We're so glad to have you.
Tina Win. You have a website, extraordinary domain name. It's
Tina that Win. I don't know how you did that,
but congress very lucky. Yeah, and of course you are

who is absolutely wonderful, and we are so glad that
we have discovered you. So before we start to say
goodbye to each other, what is next for you?
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Well, what's next is six songs EP, which will be
out right for the summer. So I'm very excited for that. Also,
I will be going to the Cans Festival in May.
I'm thinking about a tour coming up. There's no date set,
but Jane and I were in the works.
