Speaker 1 (00:01):
Stock selling action comes courtesy of PGG Wrightson. Mark Coulter's
on the line to give a rundown on prices from Balclutha.
Good afternoon, Mark. It was a record day yesterday at Lawnville.
Things today, while not the same prices, still pretty hot.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yes, no, nothing compared to Lawnville, but still very good,
strong demand, and the price is right up there still
here at Balclutha. Smaller yarding in here today, but it was...
It didn't reflect the prices. Getting into the prime lambs,
your nice big heavy prime lambs are anywhere from $ 320
to $ 350, and your good mediums are still great money
around that $ 250 to $ 300 plus. Getting into the store lambs,
(00:39):
there wasn't too many store lambs in today, but they
still went well at $ 150 to $ 180. That was sort
of the average throughout the store pens. There's maybe 250
store lambs in Nexman there today. The ewe numbers are
still back at the moment just light. Small, light numbers there,
but they're still selling well at $ 2. 60 to $ 3. 00 for
your big heavies. Your good mediums are $ 2. 20 to $ 2. 50.
(01:00):
And your lighter NUs that have done it a bit
tough through the winter are $ 100 to $ 170. A handful
of rams, and today they are still around that same
for us, $ 100 to $ 110. Yeah, a small yard in
here again in Balcutta, but it was nice to feel
a bit of warmth on the backs, and the stock
are definitely enjoying a bit of sun on their backs too.
Next spring cattle sale will be on Thursday, the 17th
of September here at Balcutta, so get in touch with
(01:22):
your Local agents, if you want to put any kettle
in or you're looking to buy some. Thank you very much.
