for you if you wanted it.

Yeah, the agua feeds and you and on me. But yeah,
good afternoon and.

Pretty good a guana feed, is it a goer? If
it was needed?

Well, if you'd asked me two years ago about snail food,
I would have laughed at your So look who would
know these days?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Fair? Cool? Hey, it sounds like things are just foot
to the floor at the moment.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
All of us just kick off of bring really for us.
I mean the first of August most people have got
one or two calves on the ground, some of them
got lambs, so you know, feed starts to go out,
and obviously the girls are due to LAMB shortly, so
there's a few nuts going into some of the multiple
use multiple bearing us. So now everything's go at the

moment and normally we all go the first week of
August on a normal year, but this year is sort
of abnormal. So it's good. I'm not complaining, but very
very busy. A lot of feed going through the door,
that's for sure.

What do you put that down to?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Oh, most classes have stuck, are doing okay, and you
know it's there isn't a surface of feed around people
tell me, so, you know, guys just prepared to feed
the use or deer or whatever to keep them up
to speed because you know there's a return down the track.
So that's pretty much what I put it down to.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
The saying is what you get out is what you
put in.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah, definitely. Yeah. So yeah, and when prices are reasonable
and balls is the other thing, we're doing a lot
of nuts into balls. Obviously, be still holding up pretty well.
So everything's looking good. Any no downside that I can
see at the stage.

Car fee it's a good option for a lot of people,
I do say at the moment, Oh.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, a lot of carfee going out. Yeah, I mean
people tend to you know, only get a few on
the ground and need some feed for them. So we've
had a big burst of carfee going out and we
normally get a lull in proceedings now until probably the
start of September because that first a lot of feed
takes a while for the for the calves to eat.
You know. We're also filling up some dairy silos now,
so guys, we've got a few in the shed milking.

So everything we do is all go pretty much what.

Would you write you have carfeed be compared to say,
sheep nuts at the moment.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Well, I mean sheep the last couple of months, sheep's
been there, big category and that's really unusual and normally
and they're all seasonal. So once we get to the
end of August, we don't sell a lot of nuts,
so we few into September, but most of the nuts
are sold by the n and then of course we've
fled out selling carfee, but we would sell, yeah, quite

a bit more calf in general than sheet nuts, but
it depends on the season and it it depends on pricing.

So it's just a matter of people getting on the
blower of the dog and bonus such and getting in
touch with any queries.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I suppose pretty much. Yeah, yeah, I mean you just
need to give us a call. Most feed we've got
on hand in stock, but you know we are running
to keep product on the floor, so it does pay
to give us a call if you need something, no
problems with that.

It's interesting you brought that triplet bearing news before as well, Deryl,
knowing that a lot of farmers are getting more threes
or a lot more threes than they used to different
freight requirements they're use. They can be a pain in
the bat, but when lames the way it does, you
got to try and make every dollar account well.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Obviously you will struggle, and that late pregnancy struggle to
take on enough energy to feed threes and keep your
body conditioned. So you need to feed them. You know.
The idea of the nuts is their energy dense. You
don't need to feed a lot to give that you
are real boost. So that's a pretty good option going forward. Definitely.

What about Dat's what's the state of play there?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
We actually sell a lot of velvet nuts year on year.
The velvet nuts we just sell more and more and
they go all over the place, we're sending them to Canterbury.
Obviously one ton to Mauritius, but that hasn't we haven't
got any more into there. But you know, like how
we want to cut a lot of d nuts go
all over the place, and they're mainly for velvet production,
so they're high and bypass protein things like organic zinc

and so on for valve production. So quite a scientific
product but obviously pays the dividends. They're sell very well
and as I said, you're a year, we're selling more and.

More, so you reckon the Mauritius deal was a one off.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Well at the stage we're still trying to get the
paperwork done with their equivalent to our math or MPI.
They want to know everything and even some stuff we
don't know, but they're working in air MPI are working
with any intritions to make sure they get all the
paperwork sorted. So quite a bringent process to get feed

into there.

I'm still thinking about a hell of a text break
text relief. If you are able to go over with
you of mex for a gaval of days.

I'd love to, and it may happen down the track,
you never know. I wanted to go and sort the
paperworking person. That'll be a great scheme, wouldn't it.

Absolutely, Now, Natalie Crystal, let's talk about your nutritionists.

We talk about Natalie more often than not.

And when we get her on the muster for a
chair and she just knows her stuff when it comes
to the needs of animal health requirements and of course
being the nutritionist for Sergeant Day and she's all over things.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yeah she is. But Netalie is quite a well traveled person.
I mean she consults, you know, through Australia and Asia Pacific,
so she's not just based or she's based in New Zealand,
but quite a knowledge and a lot of different classes stock.
So we write her knowledge and that's why we think
her product is recently good. It's pretty sound and her

formulations are quite robust. And by that I mean if
we put a speck on the bag to say this
is twenty percent protein and so much energy, so much starts,
we're well and truly over that. You know. We test
our products regularly at the lab and we're always coming
back probably higher than i'd like. You know, now in
theory is too conservative, but would rather be that way.

Roll talk about a fuddy Darrell because we can the
Stags against Mano two the least said the better. But
the NPC in general is a grasping your imagination or
we're all over the abs doing.
