Can I handy? Thank you very much pleasure?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, how's everything at Headshope?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah, she's taking away just pretty nicely to be fair.
Get everything's in smooth swing, got balls out, so yeah,
just chip it away until Christmas time. Really did you.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Get through those winds okay? Back in October?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah? Yeah, we managed to not not be too bad.
We had a generator for six days, but the community
got round us and help us out. So yeah, not
too many complaints.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
So are your fence lines and everything You've got them
corrected pretty quickly? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Wow, We've only got one massive heachline on air place
and yet it's been pretty well maintained. So yeah, we're
pretty lucky, to be fair.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
But nonetheless, I mean so productions cranking along our young farmers.
Of course you're involved with a nightcats club. Been quite
a bit going on.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yep, yeah, we've been. We've been pretty busy. We've had
a lot of social sport, had a netball and a
touch you know. The weather's been so nice and longer days,
so it's quite good to get out and socialize a
bit more. Perhaps we had gone on. We had a
slip and slide barbecue last weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
A slip and slide barbecue. Yeah, but a mischief, right,
So how long was the tap or whatever you were
using for the slipping slide?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
What's some details around this?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
It's just down a hill. It was one of the members,
old piece of silid cover and I don't know how
long it was to be fair, but it's a fun's
going on.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
So a bit of dishwasher liquid or a lot of
dishwasher liquid and just let it go.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, no, it was. It was pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
So it's just that time of the year, I suppose,
like you say, social being the key word for young
farmers in December.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
What else has been happening?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yep, No, We've got the races this weekend coming, so
that's always a big one. We shore a tent with
Strawnberry Young Farmers and your few of the other clubs
sort of get around it. So it's a big one
before Christmas and then you're into the new year. Got
another farm tour for our first meeting pack at a

(03:03):
path member help their brown sort of and we've got
a golden standard cop. We were doing warm bowls and
lime hills so that would be good fun too.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
So that's a fundraising efforts. What's been happening.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, we've we were in daycare picking up sailor trap
and a crop pat so that was a long evening
and got a few beers to wash down the dust
so that wasn't too bad. And got the wedding. Some
people were been far hands at the wedding this weekends.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
That's a new term.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, and we also have the imp show and Winton
coming up. We have were up with the show sharing
so yeah, going on. She's always pretty busy this some years.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
And shows always a great event.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
And let you say, just for the opportunity to go
along there and play your part and make a bit
of coin for the club so you can do stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
It's what it's all about.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh yes, it's just the whole circle. Isn't that your
health out, You get some money and then you can
do stuff with it. So nah, it's good.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I find it interesting that you said the next meeting
you're going to a previous members farmer doing a farm tour.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
So how does it all work there? You go there
and just have.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
A bit of an impromptu don at the Wallsheed and
then go tickie touring or what's the plan?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Yeah, that's sort of the plan. Nothing real formal in
place at the moment. The club will put on some
saucis and everyone can bring bring your own drinks, and yes,
he'll take us around the farm and then we'll end
up in the Wallsheed and have a few discussions and yes, and.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Too formal, A few discussions are like that. Hey, as
far as membership with you guys there at night cares
because all the clubs seem to be doing pretty well.
You guys are under that same allute, not illusion, you
guys are doing the same thing.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, no, Like it's it's pretty strong down here on
this out and you'd like, like I said, the races.
You know, it's a big time the year and you
often nab a few extra members during this time of.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
The year, so not really.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah, just it kind of makes sense sort of save
your money by buying a ticket through the members price,
so yeah. That and we also have a lot of
social sports, so kind of makes sense to join up
and you get to run around.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
And because you're in that touch come at our drummond
is it?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah? Yeah, and Drummond they're actually a bloody good event.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So nah, well it must be a good event because
you guys have been for my memory, I've been doing
this job four years.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I think you've been involved with those four years.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yeah. I wouldn't, ye, I wouldn't. This drive that's the case,
Yeah that we always get good numbers and yeah they
bought at the end, so contemplain.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
No, that's what it's all about. Refreshments and really hydrating
and the likes. So generally that sounds though. Everything's pretty
much cranking with nightcaps, young farmers, right.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Yep, she's all go so yeah, just keep it producing.
Really just got a bit of momentum, so yeah, yeah, yeah,
everyone's keen on these farm tours much. Keep on that
for a bit.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
No, why not go and see a bit of land
that's out there, because it's naive to think that you're
going to see the province and its entirety, right, So
when you get the opportunity to see you do it.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
You go.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yep, that's the thing. And like you said, there's a
lot of lands and a lot of farmers out there,
and and a lot of good ones out there, so
we're getting out there and.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Round absolutely either.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
So night cats, young farmers. People want to get in
touched socials obviously, yep.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Socials emails, Yeah, find a way and we'll get in
touch as well.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Good on you, isla.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Always enjoy the chats or enjoy the weekend coming up,
keep it safe, remember and enjoy the holiday season and
we'll catch up again in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
That sounds great, Tony.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Eiler Pranker there out of nightcaps, Young Farmers now has
just been announced well, in the last half an hour
or so, basically the government has come out and saying
that regarding resource consents is going to be changes. So
in a nutshell, the government has announced that it will
immediately roll over all resource consents for two years, with

(07:37):
legislation expected to pass under urgency as early as this week.
A second bill that will then freeze or resource consents
until new regional plans are in place, at which point
farmers will have twenty four months to apply for any
consent they still require. Farmers will still have the same
environmental conditions placed on them that their other current resource

(07:58):
consent requires. But this has looked at as a big
one for Federated Farmers. I have somebody from the organization
on the show tomorrow to talk about this in more context.
So yeah, big news there regarding the Ari Mays and changes.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Before we wrap up, we'll catch up with Daryl Moyles
