the Southern Field Days that you guys are there firstly
that event there because you guys have been pretty busy.

Over the past couple of months. How was it. How's
it all been since I suppose we got cleaned out?
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Sorry, all our fertilizer went out over the last few months.
But we're busy during overtime refilling, restocking. I'd just like
to say, Andy, it's good to see a lot of
our farmers are off overseas, like it's good for them
to have leisure time.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
It's it's it's it's cool that well deserved. I think
this year.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Well, I've just been overseas recently. Well it used to
be a cocky Does that count?
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah?

But you did right there, Steve.

It's about having that time off far making it work,
and a lot of people say, well, it's easier said
than done, but sometimes just having a bit of a
reset makes all the difference.

Well, I'm just going to talk about farm utopia with
us with Biactive, and that's where you no longer have
vet bills, you no longer worry about having enough quality
grass and crops, you no longer feel under siege from
invasive insects, and more importantly, you had more leisure time,
which we talked about, more quality time, and also more
(01:41):
bang for dollars. So your bank account, which probably at
the moment isn't too bad, but it does a lot
infinitely better.

The Bioactive story, When does it all start, Steve.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Well, I'll talk about the product.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
We drag him from the ocean, crustaceans, a lot of fish,
unbelievable amount of fish, seaweed, and we produce a solid
egg fertilizer. Now out of that we produce with enzymes.
It breaks it all down, but it's a solid, not liquid.
(02:13):
Out of that we extract sulfur, which I see at
the moment it's heading towards nineteen hundred dollars a ton,
well houses nowhere any of that. We extract phosphorus ocean
out of the ocean, ammonia from the fish, and trace
elements from the seaweed, and more importantly with the fish,
we improve the protein value of the grass or the crops.
(02:35):
So that's the complex and menio acids probably around about
twelve of those, which you're lucky to get one or
two out of the use of your ear.

I think it's just the opportunity as well at the
moment when you're looking at fur prices and the way
things have gone, if you want to look at other options, well,
like you talked about, then Steve certainly a lot cheaper
than what you're going to pay in a lot of
other avenues.

Infinitely, So I forgot to add in the sorry. We
actually produce a pot ash k as well, so all
this is home ground. It's made down in our factory
in Kennington, and the farmer benefits by that.

We kick your ear into touch.

We've got a product there eight ninety seven per a ton,
and that's by phishen leaves it for dead because in
there it is also a natural byside which is recolonizes
your soils or some of those things have never been
seen in your soils to counter all those creepy Crawley's

nasties that frustrates farmers so much because they lose their
paddos to grass grub, pryino, We've all greasy cuttle worm,
all those things.

Greasy cattle worm. That's something to keep an eye on,
isn't it.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yeah, not good.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
We've been pulled up to the North Island to deal
with a lot of that because they would lose all
their pasture and all their crops to.

It, and the amazing results up there.

But I really want to keep our product down here,
flying everyone here before we go too far afield.

But we've been asked to do it, so we don't
say no.

The thing with you guys is that you talk about
the biology.

and there's a lot of because biology throughout the world
is much the same within soil, so we're actually bringing
in quite a few different ones and parasitoids and those
things which our sores haven't seen before. Now it's legal,
so it's all been okayed through MPI and we get

this miraculous response, which farmers debate, how can that be.
It's not how it's not how they saw things. But
it doesn't matter. We don't care. It just doesn't allow
grass grub. Your clover stay there, no more clover, weave
all prina. They still come over the boundary fences. Prina
still flies in and lays its eggs, but it just

isn't an environment for them. So they get gobbled up
by these little creepy crawley things and you've got a
happy farmer.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
So how long realistically does it take to get rid
of grass grub and perina once you're proactive about it.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
We've there's a bit of parinha around now, quite a bit,
and it's usually in two and three year old grasses,
but it's throughout anyway. Generally three weeks we would would
notice a change quite quickly. But it also puts up resistance,
whereas if you're spraying, you've actually got to keep spraying,
(05:35):
whereas with this you get a natural resistance going. So
how long would it take? Three to four weeks? Five
weeks as a rule, Yeah, that's that's what most farmers
see happening.

So you're not liquid but your solid form application wise,
how does it work with you guys?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Normally it's usually bulkies, local bulkies. It can go.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
And with the dairy farmers with their toe behind helicopters,
there's aeroplanes. Yeah, no, it's it's any any manner of spreading.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
So farmers when they've started using the products that you
guys supply at bioactive soils.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
These deed, what's the biggest difference they're noticing?
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Would you say their paddocks stay green no longer. We
get those stories all the time at the moment, especially
in those arid areas. The other the other side of
it is the animals go in and they like they
hate moving cows or discontented animals that content. They don't
need to eat as much to get a full tummy.
(06:40):
It's a bit like us, you know, fast food doesn't
fill us up as much as what Mum used to
cop for us when we were kids. So that that's
the bigger difference. But the big one is our paddocks
don't get don't go yellow, and those green splotches where
there's been cowpats or sheep sheep poop they even up
(07:01):
in the green all the way through, which is a
good biomass activity, which is what we give. We feed
the biomass and that's the challenge. The biomass has been
burned out by other nitrogens. We feed it and keep
it going so it's more sustainable.

Yeah, and the big thing of you guys, you're like
likely produced, like you talked about, supplied chains not.

A problem, yep, Kennington, You're welcome to come down and

We've got about three football fields a factory which is
too small. We draw off twenty different fishing companies, and
we also pulling our own seaweed. But worried that we're
not going to keep up this year because we cleaned out.
The winter's been a bit short for us. We've got
orders now because we do that all up through Canterbury.
They've already started carving. But it's okay. We'll make it work.
