Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please turn your radio off and swim to shore. It's
a it's a little deep over there in the Hill Country.
Where were they just showing?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
The said, Johnson City City.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Which is close to Fredericksburg, and right right in that
same area. We have friends that own a castle, that's right.
I wonder if the castle is a you know, usually
they build them up high on a hill so they
can overlook their their territory. But I don't know if
this one has that that you know, that same plan
or not.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
It does.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
It's elevated, okay, and then then you know it's it's
higher than a lot of other stuff there. It's called
the Republic Boot Company Wine Castle, and it's a cool
place to hang out if you're ever there. I got
to think it might be the only dry place right
now in there. We don't know for sure, but that whole.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Area is underwater. They said.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Parts of the Hill Country received over two feet of
rain this week. The Guadalupe River went up twenty five
in an hour, basically flash flood right through there. Yeah,
it's not good too, known dead now. I mean, it's
way better than last summer when it was all the kids.

(01:12):
But yeah, two people have been confirmed dead, maybe others
to be found.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
You wonder if part of the reason why the casualty
rates lower this year is just simply because of how
bad it was last year. Right, People are more aware,
they're more cognizant, and it's pretty much in the same
place as last year and only a week and a
half later.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
So it's interesting timing again.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, so danger is afoot and we hope everybody's safe
in that direction. If you are China, please stop meddling
in our elections.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
So you're saying it was China, Yeah, I never heard
that before.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yesterday Donald Trump had his big address primetime TV and
some primetime TV. I'm glad he brought that up. This
is a perfect example of why people hate the media.
Trump hadn't even made the statement yet they wouldn't tell
you what he was saying or show you what he
was saying. On multiple networks, two of the what was it,

(02:13):
NBC and ABC? In ABC, but on CBS they had
Margaret Brennan talking over Trump.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I noticed that, So why even do it?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, they just put Trump on and then come on
and explain during his speech where he is making these accusations,
and I doubt that he would just come on and
make these accusations totally unprepared to back them up, because
they do have the intelligence, he says, while he's still
talking the networks and I think Fox did this too.

(02:46):
They come on and start explaining how they're not responsible
for any of the erroneous statements that the president may
be making. Here, Like they start defending themselves because they
think this president might be stretching the truth. Does anyone
do you understand this is the same media that told
us Russia meddled in the twenty sixteen election. That was okay,

(03:07):
but we're supposed to believe China didn't meddle in the
twenty twenty election. And as it's happening, they're telling, well,
he's not offering any proof. It's like, guys, he hasn't
even finished the sentence yet.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
What if he's going to walk out and go, hey,
you know this cyclosporresis thing that's uh in all the lettuce,
it's in all the water too. Everyone's getting explosive diarrhea.
And before you even finish this a sentence, they just
start talking, I don't worry, it's not important.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, forget that. Wait it sounds important. This is why
they hate the media. And with that in mind, on
the topic of cyclospora, congratulations to Lafayette. You lead the
state of Louisiana in the most explosive diarrhea bug cases.
You're doing your part to eat the most lettuce. But
unfortunately lettuce seems to be what's contaminated in that state.

(03:55):
And yeah, yeah, a lot of the states, and Louisiana
is not even the highest in the country. That seems
to be Michigan in Ohio. But we'll get to all
the squirts later.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Remember when Eric.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Swalwell got into trouble a couple months back, he had
to drop out of the governor's race, and everyone noticed
that Senator Ruben.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Diego is that how you say his last name?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Diegel was also seen in a lot of these videos
partying with him. Well now, and everyone thought, way, it
seems like Ruben would be guilty of something too. Well
he is now it turns out he had sex with
multiple Capitol Hill staffers. You're not supposed to bang your
employees of like the teachers with their students. You know,
there's just a rule against it. Come on, man, But

(04:36):
wasn't that how James Tallerico proved he wasn't gay. He's
like I banged my employees. Yeah, what, I don't know
if that men Tellefrico, Tellafrico, Tallaweirdo. Yeah, Todd Blanche is
trying to get the Senate to confirm him right now,
and the things standing in the way to get him

(04:56):
to the position of Attorney General seems to be Epstein.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Survivors talk about that.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
A senator in Mexico is upset because of a gentleman. Well,
a now deceased guy in Houston. You've probably heard of him.
Here in Houston, we have our own George Floyd. Now,
excuse me, Jorge Floyd. That's probably what I should be
calling him. If you want to attend the open casket

(05:22):
funeral for the guy who died in that ice shooting,
that's available now you can go to his open casket funeral.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Oh boy, yeah, obviously. And who wouldn't you know.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Mexican Senator Juan Carlos Laria de la Rosa has issued
a tersely worded letter to Texas and the Republican Party
and the Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
But that stings.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, a guy that votes in the Mexican government is
very upset at us because a guy who hasn't lived
there in forty years died.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Sorry about that. That's tough man.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
One of Mike Flynn's staffer's chief of staff registered as
an agent of communist Cuba.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Wow. Yeah, and uh oh.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
And apparently some disabled minor got raped in a migrant shelter,
but no one's supposed to care because you know, illegal immigrants,
they could do no harm.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Who care.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
It's not about who got raped, it's who did the raping,
whether it's a story or not. Yeah, an illegal immigrant.
That's why you're not if it was an ice agent,
be all over the place. Anyway, we're up, you're up
and a lot. As you can see, it's a well
did I mention it's Friday. It's not all gloom and
doom today. I forgot about that for a minute. Yeah,
everybody's hopping and happy because the coffee's hot. Obviously, the

(06:39):
world isn't great, Steve. It never is, never is. Nobody
said it's supposed to be perfect. It could be worse.
It could be raining. Oh wait, it is right. It's
a bad example.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I think, what is It's the weekend, let's part and drinking,
going on. There's a lot of drinking involved. Alcohol is
a social lubri kit all right time. This is the
Waltman Johnson Show.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
This diarrhea, let us outbreak and the explosives, And I
kept thinking it was a joke. I mean, it's just
too easy to fall back on. Yeah, a bunch of
people got sick and explosive diarrhea. Is must have been
Taco Bell last night.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
But it turns out that might have been exactly what
it was or where it started. Anyway, I'm not sure
they're playing.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
What exactly did Taco Bell do wrong?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
But they served some food that made people blow up,
explode outwardly lot is specifically, I believe, so, yes, Yeah,
I don't claim to know what the answer is. But
I've read some of these stories where they start to
blame Taco Bell, and then by the fourth or fifth paragraph,
it feels like they're not blaming Taco Bell. It just
seems like it's too easy, it's lazy man to joke

(07:49):
about that. I think the reason they're blaming Taco Bell
is because Taco Bell pulled Lettuce cilantro Onion's Peakota Guyo
and quawk from the menus in Metropolitan Detroit. Some people thought,
oh Bells cyclospor, it's called it's a parasite outbreak, and
it's contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce. The lettuce is from Mexico,
and I know everyone knows this, this is one of

(08:11):
those things adults figure out a long time ago. But
iceberg lettuce is one of the only vegetables you can
eat that doesn't really have any nutrients, right, It's just
kind of filler that it gives it, and everybody always
thinks it's that's safe. It's just lettuce. That's how dangerous
could lettus be? So Taco Bell pulled all this stuff
from the menu. But I couldn't actually surmise from any

(08:33):
of the stories that I read that it was Taco
Bell's fault other than that they pulled it from their menu.
So they looked guilty, right exactly being on the safe
side the use they use a ton of raw produce, right,
especially compared.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
To some of these fast food places.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Cyclospar loves fresh greens, especially for places with iffy water hygiene.
Do you trust the staff at Taco Bell to be
thoroughly washing me?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Well?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Certainly, look, you you don't pay someone enough, you can't
expect fantastic services from them. That just seems to be
a rule for life there. But at any rate, what's
odd is washing doesn't kill it. Cooking it kills it.
Taco Bell serves it raw, so it probably didn't matter anyway.
I guess this is why your chalupa went from fourth

(09:20):
meal to fourth trip to the throne. How you supposed
to cook your lettuce? How do you prepare yours? You don't,
that's the point. Yeah, so they're eating it the way
everybody else does, right, exactly how do you cook lettuce?
I guess I don't know. You don't raise kimchi? Is
that what that is?

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Who would be cooking it?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
It's cabbage? The it's cabbage. Yeah, you probably should cook cabbage. Well,
some Americans don't know the difference to what's the difference
between cabbage, spinach and lettuce? Get your point, But throw
a little kale at them. The kale people should be
out there crowing right now talking about how you you
know you've been eating kale instead of lettuce.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Probably wouldn't be sick right now.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Well, according to reports from the Louisiana Department of Health.
And I'm only focusing on Lafayette because we have this data.
That's the number one spot in the state of Louisiana
for the cyclospora. I don't know what the number one
spot is in Mississippi or Texas or.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
But last I heard, Mississippi had had no outbreak. That's great.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Mississippi has decided by not eating any leafy greens will
never get and they've been leading the charge on that
as long as you can remember. Laugh all you want,
if it works, it works. But yeah, they've had dozens
of cases in Lafayette.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
It says, of.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Course there's always those women and some of them aren't
even fat, but all women think they're fat at some
point or another. They're they're ordering extra lettuce.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Cause that clear joo.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Right, it's a cleanse if you will jump start on
maybe losing a few more pounds are there. Some people
would back in the day would do the tapeworm to
lose weight, and you're not supposed to do that. It's
very unhealthy. But yeah, but look how good they look.
They'd order the tapeworm from India or something. They're ripped.
Wouldn't recommend it. How's your world cup fever level right now?

(11:08):
Because apparently, according to the TV, we've all got it.
I guess we all just have it at different levels.
I guess ice cold would be the short answer to that. Steve, Okay, yeah,
let's bring up ice. Why you want to be racist?
I didn't mean to do that, but now that you've
pointed it out, I'm glad.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I did you know?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
One way to get this World Cup thing to end
faster is just have the Ice agents stand outside of
MetLife Stadium.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Of course they don't have to. I guess there's a
fire there now.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Huh oh yeah in Jersey where the last game is
supposed to be ye East Rutherford.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Look at that. Look at all those white people out there. Gross.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
You know, different races have an interest in different sports,
would you agree? And I'm sure black people like soccer.
But from where I've been sitting during this whole World
Cup thing, it seems like it's it's mostly the whites
and the browns, and they are in no very good
at getting attention drawing to themselves as fans. Will I

(12:05):
never gave a damn about basketball either. It's like I'm
starting to thank the black guys had a point. Yeah,
what are the Asians like? Ping?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Pong and chests. What are they doing during this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I've seen a Japanese guy on TV get excited about
some beef ribs when he came to Texas for the
World Cup.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
But was he did he even go to a game?
No idea.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I don't know either, but they've got pretty good beef
in Japan. Wag don't have as much of it.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Man.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
I had some wogu the other day. It was it
was it was slappy, in your face, good, just outstanding,
And it occurred to me maybe maybe we were wrong
about that Ewajima thing.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
You know, it's Friday. It's Friday. I've reached my breaking points.
It's Friday. It's Friday. I need to smoke a joint.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I can guarantee certain death to the next person that
says t G.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
I f really stay tuned for more Walton and Johnson
