this is how you were feeling at the time. It's expression,
you know, it's a fun song, and also at the
same time it feels intense to me because you are
like describing as a volcano, you know, and all I
can think about is erupting, you know, hot lava. Yeah.

Then I like how you incorporated Yeah. Then I like
how you incorporated that the Floris Lava song into that.
But he did your own spin to it. He did
your own spin to it at the end, and I
really like that. I think it's real relatable. Yes, And
the song is passionate, confident. You know, you're very confident

how you were feeling when you made it. What moment
are emotion art the creation of this song?

Oh man, Okay, I don't want to die deep deep
into it. And then y'all gonna know I'm a business

So I'm using my I was using my imagination.

thought the guy for them. I started imagining the song
in my head and I came up.

I visualize everything that before I write it, if that

The songs, I can I can visualize and think about
a hook, make the hook up in my mind, and
I just try to remember the hook before I started
writing it, because I could be out at the store, right,
I could see something that's interesting and I can make
a song out of it.

But when I make the song out of it in
my head, I'm like, oh, that tights hook.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
But I might forget the hook before I get to
the house, right, I'm like, dang, what was that hook?

That hook was dope. So what I did was with Volcano.
When I heard the hook in my head.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I got my phone real quick and I recorded myself
singing it so that I won't so when I when
I wrote the hook. When I wrote the hook, I
went home the song the hook, and then I found
a beat that go to the beat. It was crazy
because the beat it picked good with the song.

I couldn't believe it. I was like, man, it blend
in for good.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
So when I found the beat to the songs, versus
just came to me, and that's how I created it.

I came.

No, but the guy he he this he had, so
I wrote a song about him and he doesn't even know.
He don't know nothing about me. I don't even know
how it.

time not really want to date them or date nobody,
just admi of that person, you know, and I've been
I've been in some you know, I've been in in
some relationships, long relationships, some you know, it didn't.

Work out or whatever. Kids, fathers. So I'm just enjoying
being getting to know me. It ain't even about me
just being single. I'm getting to know me. I know
who I am, but I'm I'm enjoying me.

You know, I'm having some time to myself. So what
I'm saying, I'm I'm you know, I'm doing things with
my kids. I'm enjoying life right now. Just I'm not
until that right now. But eventually it was it would come.
But that that just gave me a little.

Spark to create. Ball came up. You understand what I'm saying.

I thought about a guy, I thought you, and I
created a song today. So that was something good that
came out of me seeing this guy and visualizing him
in my mind and out of mind imagination.

the studio recording. You know, they they add a little sparks,

add libs toward to create the tune, create the sounds
for the for the artwork.

Understand what So once you hear, once you hear.

The beat by itself before you put it make a
song out of it, it sounds totally different from the
songs votain know. If you just hear the beat by
myself here the melanie, that's the same melanie, but it
doesn't have the same groove.

To it because I added on to it to create
make the song, to make it what it is. So yes,
I am.

What I did was I just got the beat and
I took it to the studio, took it to the
studio and he played the beat.

And I recorded on top of that, and he did
his thing. He did his thing to it.

All I did was took the beat to my produce and.

Then I added my verses. I did, did the song whatever,
and then he added his little spark to it.

When I say spark, I mean the sound of sets
and all of that.

He added all of that to make it a song. Yep.

born in Germany, raised in Alabama, which is practically next
door to me. I'm actually from Mississippi. Oh yeah, yeah,

come through strongly in your voice. So for you, how
important is it for you to represent South?

It's very, very important. Actually, I love the South. That's
where I was raised. Uh, even though my mama bounced
me around from city to city.

That's what I'm doing.

Chance to be stable, not as far as say, because
my mama was a good mother and audit, but my

city to city.

So once I get got comfortable with.

Moved from Birmingham to Huntsville, Alabama. From Huntsville, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama.
Then we stayed in Montgomery for some years. I prestically

thing have fun in Montgomery.

I know, you know a lot of people from the
gunktown Montgomery. Then we moved. I moved back to Birmingham
after I had my little family or whatever.

Years after kid, I moved back to Birmingham.

From Birmingham to Texas. So we've just been all over
the place. I haven't had a chance to just stay
in one spot.

My mama was always on the golf, so.

It was a business for me.

So yeah, I heard that. So you said your music
is for other single parents. What messages do you want
them to hear when they listen to you.

I just want them to hear confidence. It takes confidence.
I'm not gonna say to do what I do, it's
for anybody to do. We don't even have to be
in the music skills, be anything. It's it's confidence to
do what you do. So if you have confidence, and

if you can block out the negativity and not if
you cannot have to worry about what others said about you,
you can go far in life. My thing is, I
know that I have kids. There's been a lot of
people telling me what I.

Can and cannot do.

You know what I'm saying, And I was tired of
it because I know what I'm capable of doing, and
I I know I do. Excuse me, I know I
have to do anything that I put my money too.
So my I wanted to encourage others, a single mother
and a single father, to let them know, Hey, just

because you're a parent doesn't mean that you can you
can't follow your dreams, you can't be successful. It might
be a little challenging because you got responsibility, but it
doesn't never mean that you won't succeed because you brought
a life into this world. And it's a lot of
people out here that that thinks that or won't or are.

Afraid to follow their dream because of that.

So I just want to stand in the gap for others,
let them know their hey.

Just because.

And it don't even you know, for me, it's about
kids be uplifting as your parents.

can just be about your confiding.
