Speaker 4 (05:18):
How are you.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I'm doing?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I'll excuse my voice when this particular day, I don't
know why my voice is zoned.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
I don't know what that means.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
But I didn't let that stop me though, I said,
you know what, this is my only shot, so i'give
it all.

Speaker 8 (05:37):
I guess I love it.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
I love it, and we appreciate you despite your voice,
your vocals, that you decided to kick it with us.
That means a lot to me. Well, Aprina, before we
really just dive into everything, Kuprina Blue, what's been on
your heart and mind lately? As Volcano starts heating up
and connecting with your listeners.

Speaker 9 (06:00):
Yeah, you say that again?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
You said was say that again over?

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Oh it's okay, I said, what's been on your heart
in my lately? As volcano starts heating up and connecting
with your listener.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Oh well, volcano is big part, uh you mean in
my expression. I'm sorry, my voice is going.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
In now, but it's it's a big part of me
and my expressions on high Stiff at.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
The time when I wrote the song. Volcano is just
for fun, so fun. So it gets you in the room.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
We're talking about how you feel about, well me talking
about I feel about serving somebody.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Uh, you can use your imagination as well.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
You listen to the song you dis service somebody if
you understand what I mean, what Volcano get you?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Some fun six song?

Speaker 4 (07:10):
All right? All right, and it is. I had a
chance to listen to it a few times, guys, So
she is telling the truth. It's a dope song. I
like it, I love it, and I encourage you all
to check it out yourself. And yeah, let us speak
to you. We'll actually play it later on in an interview,
so you'll get a chance to hear what she and

(07:31):
I are talking about. So a Prina Volcano like you mentioned,
this is how you were feeling at the time. It's expression,
you know, it's a fun song, and also at the
same time it feels intense to me because you are
like describing as a volcano, you know, and all I
can think about is erupting, you know, hot lava. Yeah.

(07:53):
Then I like how you incorporated Yeah. Then I like
how you incorporated that the Floris Lava song into that.
But he did your own spin to it. He did
your own spin to it at the end, and I
really like that. I think it's real relatable. Yes, And
the song is passionate, confident. You know, you're very confident

(08:14):
on the record as well. So you said this is
how you were feeling when you made it. What moment
are emotion art the creation of this song?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Oh man, Okay, I don't want to die deep deep
into it. And then y'all gonna know I'm a business
loo stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
But it's about this guy, right, He don't know. He
doesn't know.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
That I'm digging him. He doesn't even know me, you know.
So I'm using my I was using my imagination.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I'm like, dang, he's so fine. I love his swag.
I love everything about it. I'm gonna write a song
about it.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
So when I was when I when I was, I
thought the guy for them. I started imagining the song
in my head and I came up.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
With how like go about can know like good about
cane up? And I was like, dang, that's dope.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
So when I when I saw again I started, I
looked at her and I said dang.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
And I said ooh, and that's where.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
The ooh high where they come in there, because I
was like, ooh, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Because when when I write my songs.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I visualize everything that before I write it, if that
makes any sense.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Before I write.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
The songs, I can I can visualize and think about
a hook, make the hook up in my mind, and
I just try to remember the hook before I started
writing it, because I could be out at the store, right,
I could see something that's interesting and I can make
a song out of it.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
But when I make the song out of it in
my head, I'm like, oh, that tights hook.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
But I might forget the hook before I get to
the house, right, I'm like, dang, what was that hook?

Speaker 3 (10:04):
That hook was dope. So what I did was with Volcano.
When I heard the hook in my head.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I got my phone real quick and I recorded myself
singing it so that I won't so when I when
I wrote the hook. When I wrote the hook, I
went home the song the hook, and then I found
a beat that go to the beat. It was crazy
because the beat it picked good with the song.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
I couldn't believe it. I was like, man, it blend
in for good.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
So when I found the beat to the songs, versus
just came to me, and that's how I created it.

Speaker 9 (10:40):
I came.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
No, but the guy he he this he had, so
I wrote a song about him and he doesn't even know.
He don't know nothing about me. I don't even know
how it.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Is when I wrote Why is that? Why doesn't he
know who a print of blue is?

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Mhm, he don't know. He don't know who he is?

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Who I know? Uh?

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I can't make myself know to him.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I don't. I don't really, I don't really, I don't
really want to, you know what I'm saying. It's crazy
how I am. I'm just so.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Sometimes you can admire somebody from Afar and at the
time not really want to date them or date nobody,
just admi of that person, you know, and I've been
I've been in some you know, I've been in in
some relationships, long relationships, some you know, it didn't.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Work out or whatever. Kids, fathers. So I'm just enjoying
being getting to know me. It ain't even about me
just being single. I'm getting to know me. I know
who I am, but I'm I'm enjoying me.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
You know, I'm having some time to myself. So what
I'm saying, I'm I'm you know, I'm doing things with
my kids. I'm enjoying life right now. Just I'm not
until that right now. But eventually it was it would come.
But that that just gave me a little.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Spark to create. Ball came up. You understand what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
I thought about a guy, I thought you, and I
created a song today. So that was something good that
came out of me seeing this guy and visualizing him
in my mind and out of mind imagination.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
I created a song. Look it So it worked out good.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Yeah, it did. Shout out to that brother, whoever you
are out there. You got to hear record about you.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
You don't even know about it.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Maybe you heard the song and doesn't even know it's
about him.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
He don't even know about him. Probably won't ever know,
and then you never know.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I might, I might say, I ever know, might tell
it one day, tell the story and just say, you
know what, forget it and let me let y'all know
who it is.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Buffer Right now, I'm gonna keep that on the lof.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yes. Yes, yes, So you did a thing that a
lot of artists that I've worked with done, and that
is found their beat off of YouTube, but then tweak
it to where it's not the beat from YouTube. And
that's kind of what you did.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Is that right?

Speaker 6 (13:31):
Well?

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I guess yeah, you could.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
You could say that I added when I went to
the studio recording. You know, they they add a little sparks,
They add on a little you know, uh, backgrounds, and
add libs toward to create the tune, create the sounds
for the for the artwork.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Understand what So once you hear, once you hear.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
The beat by itself before you put it make a
song out of it, it sounds totally different from the
songs votain know. If you just hear the beat by
myself here the melanie, that's the same melanie, but it
doesn't have the same groove.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
To it because I added on to it to create
make the song, to make it what it is. So yes,
I am.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
What I did was I just got the beat and
I took it to the studio, took it to the
studio and he played the beat.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
And I recorded on top of that, and he did
his thing. He did his thing to it.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
All I did was took the beat to my produce and.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Then I added my verses. I did, did the song whatever,
and then he added his little spark to it.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
When I say spark, I mean the sound of sets
and all of that.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
He added all of that to make it a song. Yep.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Shout out to Dutch Boy for the production and h
completing this record is born, Yeah he did. You were
born in Germany, raised in Alabama, which is practically next
door to me. I'm actually from Mississippi. Oh yeah, yeah,

(15:18):
and your Southern roots come through. Yeah, your Southern routs
come through strongly in your voice. So for you, how
important is it for you to represent South?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
It's very, very important. Actually, I love the South. That's
where I was raised. Uh, even though my mama bounced
me around from city to city.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
That's I love the South.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
I never got a.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Chance to be stable, not as far as say, because
my mama was a good mother and audit, but my
mom is a professional staff.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
So we was. She was doing on hair shows.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
A lot, and we were always moving, you know, from
city to city.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
So once I get got comfortable with.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Put my fans and getting to meet new people, school
and all of that, it was time for us to go.
Moved from Birmingham to Huntsville, Alabama. From Huntsville, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama.
Then we stayed in Montgomery for some years. I prestically
had my first child there and you know, did my

(16:34):
thing have fun in Montgomery.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
I know, you know a lot of people from the
gunktown Montgomery. Then we moved. I moved back to Birmingham
after I had my little family or whatever.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Years after kid, I moved back to Birmingham.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
From Birmingham to Texas. So we've just been all over
the place. I haven't had a chance to just stay
in one spot.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
My mama was always on the golf, so.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
It was a business for me.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
So yeah, I heard that. So you said your music
is for other single parents. What messages do you want
them to hear when they listen to you.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
I just want them to hear confidence. It takes confidence.
I'm not gonna say to do what I do, it's
for anybody to do. We don't even have to be
in the music skills, be anything. It's it's confidence to
do what you do. So if you have confidence, and

(17:38):
if you can block out the negativity and not if
you cannot have to worry about what others said about you,
you can go far in life. My thing is, I
know that I have kids. There's been a lot of
people telling me what I.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Can and cannot do.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
You know what I'm saying, And I was tired of
it because I know what I'm capable of doing, and
I I know I do. Excuse me, I know I
have to do anything that I put my money too.
So my I wanted to encourage others, a single mother
and a single father, to let them know, Hey, just

(18:16):
because you're a parent doesn't mean that you can you
can't follow your dreams, you can't be successful. It might
be a little challenging because you got responsibility, but it
doesn't never mean that you won't succeed because you brought
a life into this world. And it's a lot of
people out here that that thinks that or won't or are.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Afraid to follow their dream because of that.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
So I just want to stand in the gap for others,
let them know their hey.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Just because.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
And it don't even you know, for me, it's about
kids be uplifting as your parents.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
But it don't even have to be about that. It
can just be about your confiding.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
So you have a low silver steam, somebody telling you
you too smile, you too big, you too fat to
do this. Nobody's gonna listen to nobody you. You don't
have to listen to that. As long as you believe
in yourself. That's all their manners. And now the road
it ain't never, it ain't never gonna be easy, but

(19:18):
you fighting to get where you at, where you trying
to go, it's gonna all pay off. And so that's
what I'm focusing on now. It was a it was
a struggle for me to even get to the phone,
and I'm like, man.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
My voice gone music. We have volcano body and then
we'll be right back.

Speaker 9 (19:39):
Stay too, like volcano, go volcano.

Speaker 8 (20:01):
You got me hats hats like a vocana, I know, vokaana.
You got me hot like a volcana, like a vocana,
you got me hats yeah. I don't know why you

(20:23):
can't mean finner. I just I don't know why you
can mean feining. I don't know where you can mean finner.
I just I don't know where. Baby they do to me,
baby boy, you got me feeding.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
When I'm looking to your assay, Ye the way the
way you got me feeding?

Speaker 10 (20:46):
Boy, you know you know you got me hatst but
like a volcana, go okaana you got me hot, like
go vocanea.

Speaker 8 (21:01):
I go vocan, you got me hot. I go volcanea,
I go volcano.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
You got me.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
Yeah connicide. I know you want to ride it.

Speaker 9 (21:23):
Whisper in my ead.

Speaker 8 (21:26):
And tell me what I won't I come and say

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Your can you have baby?

Speaker 8 (21:37):
You know what to do or.

Speaker 9 (21:39):
You can't be thin?

Speaker 3 (21:41):

Speaker 8 (21:42):
And yet you know you gogo you got me hots

Speaker 4 (23:09):
All right? All right, I've told y'all it was dope. Yeah,
it's a fire record, unintended. All right, it is hot.
It is hot. That is Volcano by a pirnal blue.
Let's go ahead and bring her back. He Hey, you
are back live with us. I love the record, Thank you.

(23:41):
We are definitely excited too. So your hands on with
everything from music rights, to visuals to your branding. Why
is it important for you to take full control of
your career.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
It's important face full control because I know how I
like things to be done.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I know that.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I know that it's my time to shine, it's my thening,
and it's it's important for me to just be able
to be able to express that through the world, show
people who I am in a positive way, you know, humbly,

(24:26):
positive way, just boldly you know.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
So it's very important.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
All right. So with Volcano out now making its way
across all podcasts, radio stations, blogs and all those things
that cover new music. What's the next move for a
print of blue?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
When I got some others?

Speaker 1 (24:51):
That's another trying to do avenue right now, I ever
want to do it abasone. I got song already, so
y'all just be looking out and they they better than Volcanos.
You think volcanos nice? Just waiting to kids this abue.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Your curl of twenty blue?

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Uh? Do you have a date on that album?

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Do I have a date? I'm gonna try. I really
want to. I know Volcanos. I released Volcano in May.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
May, the twenty eighth day of last year, and I
want to know twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Four, and I want to.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
I want to do another song released my album during
the summer. I want to do another one during the summer.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
I can't give you.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I can't give you a date right now because I
don't have a date right now, because I'm still in
the midst of.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Getting my getting my albue together.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
