into another interview. Before I bring my guesst on, I
do want to say, don't lose sight. This is the
frequency of the fear of it. You know, gratitude is
one of the most powerful forces a human being can express.
It doesn't need bright lights, it doesn't need fancy studios,
(01:34):
it doesn't even need a full band. Sometimes gratitude sounds
like one voice, one guitar, and one honest message. Because
when someone pauses long enough to recognize the sacrifices that
built their life, the late nights, the silent struggles, the
promises kept when nobody was watching, something beautiful happens. Music
(01:58):
becomes a thank you note. Tonight's guest brings that exact
spirit to the microphone. His debut single, thank You Mama,
isn't polished with studio tricks are overproduced layers. Instead, it's
something rare in today's music landscape. It is raw appreciation,
inspired by a mother who sacrificed everything for her children.
(02:22):
The song reminds us that the people who shaped us
often never ask for recognition, but they deserve it anyway.
From learning guitar decades ago to rediscover music later in
life through recording songs outdoors with nothing but an iPhone
and the sounds of nature, his journey is proved that
(02:42):
it's never too late to follow the voice inside of you.
You're not just here for a talk show. And this
isn't just radio, This is reviable for your mind, body,

music journey.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
What's been on your heart and mind lately.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Lately? My kids, my kids, my wife, my family.
Speaker 9 (06:12):
Obviously their first God always in front of me to
you know, guiding me through life.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
You know, I have a.
Speaker 9 (06:24):
It's tough for.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Me because my kids.
Speaker 9 (06:27):
I have one going to college next year and one
going starting high school. So you know, first I take
care of them and make sure that you know, their
needs are taken care of. And then when I find
a little time for myself or if I have a
little time where I can sneak outside in the patio
(06:49):
and you know, just practice or start inventing songs or
that's my little like hobby or like you know, stuff
in like a relaxation for me.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Music has always been there for me, So.
Speaker 9 (07:06):
That's treated of like a hobby because obviously I'm working,
you know, every day nine to five, and I don't
do it for a living, but there's been many years
that I've been doing it before I've been doing it
for over thirty years now. Just like that, just little
times that I get an opportunity to play, I just
(07:27):
go at it, even though I annoy sometimes my kids
and my wife, and but you know, I never you know,
let that you know, it's always been something that I've
wanted to learn. And and now that you know, so
many years afterwards, now I'm getting to see.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
You know, to be able to play it.
Speaker 9 (07:50):
One thing about me is that you know, I've never
played in a band or I've never played anybody else's art,
you know, like I always my music has been really
silent music for many years because you know, since I
play alone to myself the guitar, it's you know, the
(08:15):
songs and that I can, I can, I can create
it with the music itself. I feel like now there's
been recent that I started recording myself. Thank You Mama
was recorded on Christmas. Christmas at Christmas Week was a
very special week for me because I was able to create.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Seven songs in a week. Thank You Mom. I created
in one day.
Speaker 9 (08:46):
I said to myself, I go, you know, if I'm
gonna write songs, I want to write one about my mom.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
You know what I mean. Like I wanted to do that,
so I said, let me see if I.
Speaker 9 (09:00):
Can find like a little catchy groove, you know, something
not too complicated. And then I started, you know, you know,
talking to her pretty much, you know, thanking her, and
it all came together. It all just you know, when
I did the change, I did a change on.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
When I did.
Speaker 9 (09:24):
When I did the change on the song, you know,
it just came out spectacular. I listened to the song first,
you know, many times, you know, and I cried a lot,
you know, before I even shared it with everybody. And
(09:45):
and I said, you know, I have to share it
at least with my friends. So that's how I first started.
My mom didn't know that I knew how to play.
Nobody knows that I know it because nobody asked me
or anything. And I did. I kept it to myself,
you know, I always knew. You know, I grew up
(10:07):
here in the States, so you know, poems were my thing.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I used to love poem to create.
Speaker 9 (10:15):
Them and stuff, and so you know, my thing was
I'm self taught. So I never went to any music
school or anything like that. I taught myself a play.
So when I when I create, when I create this,
I mean's just now, this is three months ago. Now
(10:37):
I'm creating songs with two different like the beginning with
the second plot to it too. I did one I went,
I'm gonna go Okay, which one I'm going to go next?
I did one of me coming out coming tonight, and
I also did I just did one for New Jersey
where I grew up, to represent them, and I also
(10:59):
did one for Flow where I live now. You know,
I did two songs so they don't feel like, you know,
I'm going against you know, I lived my whole life
in New Jersey thirty five years and I moved on.
I moved down to Florida fifteen years ago. Here in
Florida songs in the ears where I'm going to stay.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
You know, I love Florida.
Speaker 9 (11:19):
But I represented New Jersey in the sense that there's
where I grew up and you know, those where I
went to school and where I met friends and I
played back yards, you know what I mean. And we
had a good time. We lived in We were immigrant parents.
We lived in the housing projects started there, but it
(11:45):
was we enjoyed our because our fathers let us out
at certain times so we were able to share with
all the kids, play all.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
You know. We had a beautiful.
Speaker 9 (12:00):
Growing up, even though, you know, people would think it's
the worst of the worst, but as kids, you know,
we all got along. You know, we all made it happen.
Like they say, you know, yeah nice right now, I
feel like, you know, not a lot of people with
(12:22):
just one song, you're not really gonna know you know
who I really, you know what I mean this is
there was three songs that I was gonna put out,
and I decided to go with this one as a
first to my tribute to my mother. You know, my
mother's my mother's gold. You know, she's he's the type
(12:43):
of person that that she would help any I mean,
she's do you can you can ask and if she
has so much friends and people that love her, she's
such a good person. And you know, I say, you know,
even like you know, some people they don't want to
share their my mom was not like that. My mom
would share her food with anybody, you know, or if
(13:04):
somebody needed something they need, my mom would be there.
And the love she gave us fight her not being
with us all the time because she had to work,
and my dad too, you know, and they worked and
my mom worked at level or they made blines for
in factories and my dad worked in a laundry. They
(13:27):
used to clean laundry for hospital, major hospital. So my
dad there were factory workers and you know, they were
over protictive of us because you know, they were immigrants
and you know it was different. And so my dad
overprotected me and my brother. And because of their love
(13:48):
that they gave to us, you know, we became good kids,
you know what I mean. We became good, good, good citizens.
You know, we we we were successful, you know, and
what we did and not only my mom, the other
my aunts and everything. I have aunts and uncles and
(14:09):
you know, and we were a tight knit family. Were
still are you know. So every Sunday, my mom's calling me.
I got food, you know, So I said, I'm going
to write a song to her because the truth is
that one day she's not going to be here, you know.
And I said, man, why am we going to wait
(14:31):
to write a song when she's gone, when she can
hear it, you know, before she you know, or it
can be me. Because life is not promised. Tomorrow is
not promised, you know, so why not you know, why
wait to write the song and to put it out
even if you know there's some people are going to
like it some people that are not. But for me,
it's like when am I gonna you know, I'm when
(14:53):
is it going to be the time? So I think
now that she was still that she's still alive, and
I'm I was able to share it with her first,
and it was important to me, you know, she.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
And also the songs.
Speaker 9 (15:10):
You know, it's not you know I'm telling you now,
but you know, songs are an art. It's like a
piece of art. You know, when you look at it,
you get different feelings. You don't have to know exactly
what the artist was writing, you know, but just interpret
it in your way, you know, your mom or your
(15:31):
grandma or even like I've sometimes, as I've listened to
the song so many times, sometimes I feel like I
put America in front and I say, okay, Mama is
America herself, statue of liberty of America, you know, and
let's sing to her. Or it can be, you know,
in the spiritual way, it can be, It can be beautiful.
(15:53):
You can take it anywhere you want, you know what
I mean. And to do a song three.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Men and I wanted to do it, and I didn't want.
Speaker 9 (16:02):
To change it, so I repeat it the same thing
so you get three different flavors. The first one you
can get like a sense of you know, you don't
have your mom anymore, and you know that God promises,
you believe that one day we're going to be all
together with a family in heaven. So the first one
(16:26):
is you know deep, is a low tone. And then
my second verse, I get the one that is, Okay,
your mom is still around, and I know or you know,
I know she's still here. I could have an opportunity
to go and talk to her or give her a call,
see how she's doing. And I call my mom every
day and I mean, Dad, how's he doing? He's you know,
(16:50):
that's for me.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
It's it's important for me to do and my kids,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (16:55):
But my mom, my dad every day, I think, you know,
just you know you some people may not you know.
Speaker 9 (17:07):
You put it songs that to be for you to
paint your picture, you know, and for you to for
your family, you know what I mean, Like, oh, you're
you know, and and I just right now, I'm so blessed.
I have so many friends right now with that were
really good guitarists and they played and they can't no
(17:31):
longer because illnesses or or you know, just things that
you know they you know, things that.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Happen in life that don't allow you to play anymore.
Speaker 9 (17:41):
So for me, I always thank God for giving me
the opportunity at least to be continue to do this
and to.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Give me my you know, my hands that I need
and my voice and art and soul. You know what
I mean.
Speaker 9 (17:56):
I've got to be thankful to guide man. When I
wrote these songs, I felt the enag I mean it
was I.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Did it in nature.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
So if you really listen close, like you're gonna hear
the background noise, like there's one part on the song
where you hear like a like my wife she was
making the shape. So I goes, I go, hey, babe,
I got this song that I'm gonna write, but already
I got just gonna record. It's gonna be three and
a half minutes. It ain't gonna take long. But just
(18:27):
don't don't make the noise while doing it, you know.
Then she So then I start playing it, and then
you hear the birds and chirping around, and you'll hear
you hear different sounds that I'm outdoors. And then in
the middle of the so when I'm in my second verse.
I finished the second verse. I'm going into now the
(18:48):
third the final verse. I hate the final lick and
I hear the I guess you thought the dog was
done as you you know, so you hear and then
I heard it through it, but the song was already
I'm almost done with it, so I'm like, let me
just keep going, you know, but it actually it fits
(19:10):
good in it.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
It was like, you know, it's like if I didn't
do it in the studio, I did it. Put the
phone in front, I had the video actually of it.
I have the video of everything.
Speaker 9 (19:21):
When I sent out the music, we took out the
video just put the music, but it's raw and uncut.
I didn't you know it from the get It just went,
you know, it just kept going, and it was pretty amazing.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
To be able to.
Speaker 9 (19:37):
I mean, it was kind of like, you know, I
knew who I was going to talk about the writing,
and you know when I when I you know.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
I tried to put.
Speaker 9 (19:49):
H words that mean a big story, you know, to
try to get in there.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
So I guess that's a little bit about you have.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
My wife told me not to talk to us, but
I just.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
About that. Hey, that was good man. You covered a
lot of things well.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
First and foremost, congratulations on your kids. Uh more intern
in college, one intern into high school. I know that's
a lot of work.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
At the same time, you're maintaining your job and you're
playing your passion and you have a wife, so I
know your hands are pretty full. Uh yeah, Thank you Mama.
Is such a beautiful song and I can't wait to
play it. As a matter of fact, we're going to
play it now and then we'll be right back with
more Carlos.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (20:39):
I want to get my middle name in there because
I just didn't want it to be Carlos. Look Carlos
Alberto Berto heard.
Speaker 1 (20:50):

Speaker 9 (20:57):

Speaker 11 (22:28):

of these days, bitterer better.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Than ever.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
And I know.
Speaker 12 (23:06):
See you one day.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
And you saw through the scot.
Speaker 11 (23:19):
Mhm.
Speaker 13 (23:21):

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Alright, alright, wow, that was wonderful, such a beautiful record.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I'm a player for my mama.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
Yeah, and there's a Mother's Day coming up in a
couple of months, so be the perfect track. Go along
the card it's roses and a million.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Thank you. All right, let's go ahead and bring Carlos back. Hey,
welcome back, welcome back.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Thank you, sir, Thank you, sir. You get down debut.
I thank you.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
I love you.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
So before we let you go, we have we have
about four minutes left. You mentioned that you could write
songs constant. Are there more songs already waiting to be recorded?
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yes? Actually I have five ready to go, and and.
Speaker 9 (25:40):
I have another four i'm doing. I did one from
my friends. I got one of my cousins, I got
a song for him and one of my friends. But
the next song I think I'm going to come out
on What's Coming Tonight. It's one that I recorded three
months ago. I might come out with that one, or
(26:02):
I might do on the New Jersey when it's own
New Jersey's the one.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
If you want, I can. I can kind of give
you a little snick peak.
Speaker 9 (26:18):
Of one of the songs I might be coming up
already on the next rank. Yeah, this one, this one's
got What's coming What's Coming Tonight?
Speaker 1 (26:32):
And yeah, I'm going to read it to you, but
it goes.
Speaker 9 (26:38):
When the light I'm so bright when it hits might
bring fights, be ready for what's coming to night.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Growing up was tough.
Speaker 8 (26:54):
You can't imagine.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
I had to.
Speaker 9 (26:58):
Make it happen then all of the time. But if
I knew any better, my life will be like a
pheasant and I'll enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
All of the time.
Speaker 9 (27:16):
So that's what's coming tonight, coming to you. I haven't
already that one's ready to go.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
It's it's also.
Speaker 9 (27:27):
On a three It's also kind of like this song.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
A three part. But I also have whispers of an
angel that is also coming out. Whispers of an angel is.
Speaker 9 (27:40):
I'll let you know when it comes out a little
more information. But it's somebody, a good friend of mine,
that passes. Yeah, it goes. I hear the whispers of
an angel. He's calling me, calling me out. I tried
to hold him, but I miss him all the time.
(28:01):
I hope one day I'll be able to hold on.
And then there's a verse to gills.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
But I tried, but I can never reach.
Speaker 9 (28:10):
And I try, but he always salutes me all the time,
And there's a second verse to it. Now it's too late.
He has ascended. I wish I would have known his name.
(28:31):
All I have from him was his memory that for
me has fulfilled my day now, little things like you know,
and I put him in my mind and there's there
was a song that one of my cousins goes to
me that I used to play when I was younger.
(28:53):
We never finished the song, but we had a little
catchy tune to it. But I end up finishing it
right away. I did it, like as.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Soon as he called me, as soon as he hung up.
Speaker 9 (29:05):
I just I said, let me write it really quick,
something really quick, and let me play it. And I
did it for him. And I haven't recorded ready to
go to but just when Ophelia tells the name of
the song and it starts, Uh. She was so beautiful.
I didn't think she paid me mine. She has her
(29:27):
style and flogged it it well. She didn't care for me,
used me to pass some time. It wasn't meant to be,
so I had a pass it down. Oh, Phelia tells
me that she doesn't care to share what she one.
Speaker 8 (29:54):
For me.
Speaker 9 (29:56):
That's another one that I have ready and waiting patiently.
Waiting patiently was one of my first ones.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
I probably do.
Speaker 9 (30:10):
I love the way the first ones come out because
when when I once I get the song and I
get the music to it, I try to record it
right away because I just don't want to lose it,
because I have so much music in me, you know.
So I record it, I try to finish it that
day and have it ready, and then I try to
(30:32):
move on to my next song, you know. And right
now I'm slowing my pace down. I have a couple
of them that I want to work on and in
fine tune, I think, without being in the studio or
having any electronics or you know, me writing it, and
I use just just me, you know, me and God
(30:54):
pretty much, and what he's given me, h, He's given
me to you know, how to do it. And I
just feel like, you know, listening to when back in
the days we used to listen to like MTV unplug
and to hear the live you can hear little mistakes
(31:14):
or little things here and there when it's live, But
when it's recorded like in studios, then you know, everything
is so filtered and everything and so perfect, and are
times it's better when it's not perfect, you know what
I mean. Yeah, So, you know, just for me, when
(31:37):
I first started this journey, I said to myself, I'm
not going to I'm going to enjoy people's art. I'm
going to listen to it, but I will not play
it because I can never get the feeling of another artist.
I just can't, you know. It's just it's not I can.
I can hear his art, and of the music, I
can't play it, you know. So I went with that rule,
(31:59):
and I just invented the great the best thing for
any artists out there to be alone playing sometimes so
great because you can make mistakes, or you can sound funny,
or you can you know what I mean, and nobody
is there to criticize you or tell you they get
out of it, you know.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
So you know, make mistakes. It's good to make mistakes.
Speaker 8 (32:22):
You know.
Speaker 9 (32:23):
You don't have to be perfect. Oh you know you're
not going to be perfect. Ever, it can't be nobody
can be perfect. So if you're out there, you're listening,
you know, If you enjoy playing other people's music, that's fine,
but don't forget about your own and what you can create,
because while you're out there playing other people's art, you're
(32:45):
missing out on your art.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Play.
Speaker 9 (32:48):
That was my model always, you know, And now I
feel like since I've not been influenced playing anybody else's music. Now,
I feel like I'm invincible because I can create my own,
you know what I mean. Like I don't want everybody
to take my round. How I took it was because
(33:09):
I have other jobs and music wasn't gonna be my
full time. You know, I have other businesses that you know,
I had to run up trucking business first and then
now a pool business. But you know, make the mistake,
you know, you know, play outside of the box. Like
one of the guitars that I heard that I know,
(33:30):
he was really good, but when he shocked me and
he told me that he only paid him one key,
and I was like, what, like really, like you learn
in one key and just stay there every song that
you get. I'm playing the song in minor chords, you
know what I mean. This is a minor cord I've
played it with, which is something that a lot of
people won't. You know, we're not going to use you know,
(33:53):
they're gonna use the C major whatever the guitarist tune.
I figured, I have a locked tar. I know my potential.
I know what I'm kiding, so I've unlocked it by myself.
You know, just learn around with as much as I
can making the mistakes, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I have to go with my voice too. I'm getting older.
I don't have the young voice.
Speaker 9 (34:19):
Or I'm not a bravado, so I have to sometimes
talk it or say little thing, so I have to
use what's what sounds and I can fit my voice too.
I just love those minor harmonics I do. I did
the Star Spangled banner. I always said, let me do
the part, you know, as a as a tribute to her,
(34:42):
you know, And I did it in a in a
minor chord. I did two versus the whole star Spangled banner.
I did the minor chord and I did it in
the major chord too, and then the major it sounds
just the way the normal, but the minor gives it.
That's feeling that that hurts, you know what I mean.
And the thank you Mama too, that minor. It's usually
(35:07):
those kind of chords.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Of the miners. You're going to hear bad just when I.
Speaker 9 (35:14):
Try to bring in you know, yeah that you know,
to realize that, you know, we're not going to live forever.
I mean, we're here just in a blip of time,
and we have to make the best of it.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 9 (35:27):
We have to keep trying, you know, respect that you know,
even if you're not respected, respect, you know, turn the cheek.
You know, like if you see that somebody is looking
for trouble for you, and then you know, move away.
It's better to avoid. You have to be more united.
(35:47):
And it starts with respect and and that goes a
long way if you can respect. I respect everybody, so
I get along with it. You know, it's very hard
for her to get along with me because I respect.
And you got to listen, there's everybody has we think different,
you know, we have different My mom says, every mind
(36:07):
is a universe.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
It's a universe.
Speaker 9 (36:10):
D It's like we're different, We're not the same. Everybody
has different.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Loves, Like I tell like people pick up a.
Speaker 9 (36:19):
Book and love enjoy reading. I love to play guitar.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
You know.
Speaker 9 (36:24):
Some people love to play chess, the light, to play baseball.
Find something that can maybe take you away from like
every day problems and and trying to live and live
live your life. You know, happy, you know what I mean,
I always know that. You know, when you pray, don't
(36:46):
only pray for yourself, pray for others, you know, for
other people that are in worse situations you are. We
always think that we're in a bad situation when there's
others that are worse we You know, my life, you know,
I'm going to be fifty now March twenty second and
(37:08):
a couple of weeks, I'll be fifty years old, and
and I've made and I thank thank God for giving
me the opportunity to live this long. You know, a
lot of my friends are not here, you know too,
here still, if you're still here and there, it is
because there's a purpose for you. You know, you're not
(37:30):
here for no reason.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Something. God is still easy to do here because he's
the He's the old.
Speaker 9 (37:38):
You'll know, and the day you go, it will be
love too. You know, you'll be in love if you
give love and you're about love. Like my mom, I
know where she's going. There's no there's no ways. You
can't go anywhere else.
Speaker 6 (37:51):
You know.
Speaker 9 (37:52):
If you can do that, you know, maybe your name
can be but somewhere, you know, I always I don't
have much, but I always give to any If I
see something, ide anything that anybody needs because they need
and I see it, I give it. And I feel
(38:13):
like everybody should give, even if you're a little I
feel it's a good feeling.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Man.
Speaker 9 (38:19):
You never think about it again, but you give it
at the moment, you know, a jacket, some clothes, or
some donation something, you know, because there's other people that
are worse situations than us.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
You know, we're blessed that we have.
Speaker 9 (38:34):
I can still walk, and I have my eyesight, and
I can still talk and function. You know, there's are
blessings man. And for me, you know, whether you know,
whether you like my music or not, that's fine for me.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
You know, it's like for me, my.
Speaker 9 (38:53):
I'm so happy that I was able to have the
courage that God has given me, the courage to be
able to put something out, you know, for the world
to hear, for you to hear, and for others to hear.
I know, maybe on my remake of it in the
studio with all the bells and whistles, with maybe some
(39:16):
guys around me to fill in, we can perfect it.
So these are little these are little recordings that I
did that lead that.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Yeah, I know that not.
Speaker 9 (39:30):
Studio grade and all, but for me, you know, I'm
just happy that I was able to be able to
write it for my mom and also share it to
the world. You know, I appreciate that you gave me
the time to let me speak my mind a little bit,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
We have really good I have a really good.
Speaker 9 (39:54):
All my aunts and oh yeah, my my parents immigrated
in the seven and these seventy. My dad has been
here since I think seventy seventy one or something. You know,
he's been here more than he's lived in Honduras. So
we're the first generation of born in America.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
We're a lot of cousins.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
You know.
Speaker 9 (40:17):
We all played soccer, soccer players. And thank god we
played soccer because everybody else is playing football and baseball,
you know what I mean's right, So we all we
we kept uh, we all stayed all together. We all
take care of ours each other, you know, and we
never looked for any trouble.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
And all of us.
Speaker 9 (40:40):
So all my cousins, we got police, we got police officers,
army veterans, I mean, doctors, nurses. I mean, we've we
we've made it like we just the same love my
mom gave me is the same love all my cousins got.
Their moms came from the same you know, from the
(41:02):
same tree, you know, the beginning. There are some that
there have been separations where the father or something. But
you know what, those kids that are with us, you know,
they've they've broken that chain and they've become better fathers,
spare kids. So you know, sometimes we don't have you know,
(41:26):
I'm talking about my perspective. I know there's others that
might not have what I have, but we could always
break the chain and not allow us to be the same,
you know, like we want to give the love for
the next generation, because that's how you teach the generations
from the beginning with all the love and you try
(41:48):
your hardest, you know, and then you're a good one
to goet to my age, it's the same I want
to teach my kids, you know, to be bid citizens. Fact,
you know, the same qualities, you know, so we can
keep bringing good into the world. America is good, America
(42:10):
is loved. America is love. I lived in this country.
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
I love it. Fact that I.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Take care of it.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
I want good to happen to it, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 9 (42:21):
It's a blessed country that we live in. It allows
us to do a lot of things. It allows us
to be positive and too able to live our lives
in peace. It gives us everything we you know, it
gives us everything we need. The song when I've put
statue Libya in America and I sing thank you Mama
(42:43):
to her, Thank you Mama, Thank you America for being there,
for being you know, God's gifts to the world now
letting you know you know you're going to come back bigger, bigger,
better than ever. But you know right now, you know
we're going through a little tough time, but we're so
strong we will come back, you know what I mean.
(43:04):
We have the energy, we have the love. I know,
I know firsthand. I know the people firsthand.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 9 (43:10):
Yeah, uh and uh, you know, we just gotta you know,
stay together. We right that everybody's you know, has different
you know. I love I have friends, they love the Patriots.
I love the Jets. Who cares, you know what I mean,
still respect. I love each other and care for each other.
When there's a We're in Florida, so when we have
(43:32):
like hurricanes, that we come together, you know what I mean.
Everybody water and this because we lose power, you know
sometimes the flooding and stuff. But you know, in those
moments should be every day. I always say those.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Moments carry on every day.
Speaker 9 (43:48):
Just don't forget about it. Remember when we were in
those hurricanes, but we came together to continue that.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
You know what I mean? I have I really appreciate.
I know I tipped it more than the four minutes
that you gave me, but thank you.
Speaker 9 (44:06):
That you gave me that love then. And I'm on Spotify.
You can look me up and Carlos Fajardo and I
have no follows. I just got I had this. I
just got the music out last week, so I don't
I have more followers right now because of family and Instagram.
(44:26):
So I don't know if I can put it out
there right now that I have you on the phone.
But I have an Instagram account. Am I allowed to?
Speaker 3 (44:35):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (44:38):
So my Instagram uh now is.
Speaker 9 (44:42):
It's Carlito Carlito's plays, so it's c A R L
I E O S Alitos plays E L A Y S.
But you can also look me up through my name
(45:02):
and I think you'll be able to find me Carlos
Alberto for how to Do. And I also have an
X account that I'm trying to see if I can
promote the song through there, and my X account is it's.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
Carlos e R.
Speaker 9 (45:20):
So it's Carlos Carlos Star d A R l O
S e a R seventy six, the day I was born,
the year I was born, seventy six, so it's Carlos
Starr seventy six. And my Spotify is my account is
(45:40):
Carlos Bahardo. If you can't, if if it doesn't come
out for Carlos far Harder, you can try Carlos Alberta
Farhardo and you can follow me there. And obviously I'm
going to be putting out the next songs are got
to be coming out on that Spotify link as they
come out, you know. So those are the three right now.
(46:06):
The Instagram, and I also have Apple Music. You can
find me in Apple Music and any music.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
You can find this Thank You Mama and any and
any any music platform.
Speaker 9 (46:21):
My cousin founded today in Pandora, so YouTube you can
also look it up in YouTube. It's just when you
when you put it, just put thank you Mama first
and my name the artist's name like sack just together
and you'll see it the picture that I took so
you can see on the on the song when I
(46:43):
was gonna drop the song. When I was dropping the
song with with the agency, I was he does you
have a picture? He goes, you have a picture? And
I didn't really have anything, but I had this one
that I took of myself when because that's my studio,
so you can see what my studio is. That's the
there's where I create the songs. So if you look
(47:04):
at the table, you'll see the guitar and then you'll
see on the table a couple of PaperWorks.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
Those are all my songs that I've been writing and
just leaving.
Speaker 9 (47:15):
I have. So that's the kind of like a picture
that I said, Okay, let me put this in, and
it came in the way it came in because I
guess that's the way the computer took get in. But
I promised for the next covers or the next I'll
put better. I have better images now that I'm getting
more familiar with the computer.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
I'm a musician.
Speaker 9 (47:34):
I'm learning this computer stuff now, so it's like new
I've always worked out in the field and in the outside,
so I don't have access to computers as I'm driving.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Or i'm doing something.
Speaker 9 (47:48):
So right now I'm learning that to try to see
and I'm by myself trying to learn it. So it's
been a little difficult for me promoting myself. You know,
I'm trying a little bit, you know, a little bit
at a time. I'm learning as I go. But but definitely,
(48:09):
at least I opened along in the right direction.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
At least you know that's right. At least you move
on in the right direction.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
Yeah, moving on, and.
Speaker 9 (48:20):
You know, and if and at least I know, then
if anything happens, at least my song is out.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
It's out there for a while.
Speaker 9 (48:31):
It's gonna be who knows it, probably out there forever,
who knows where it goes.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
But it was live m hm.
Speaker 9 (48:43):
I did it in one take or anything you hear around.
I just went for it, you know, I winged it.
You know, I have to get it. I have to
once I do the first two parts, in the third.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Part and then ending, you know what I mean.
Speaker 9 (48:58):
So as I'm going and I find that ending finally,
then then then it releases. I'm going to follow you
now that I have you.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
I'm going to.
Speaker 9 (49:10):
Follow all your interviews because I'm going to enjoy thank
you every the last one that you have. And I'm
going to show my friends for the future. I'm gonna
I want to come back to you, you know, for
my next song. We'll be here out get get ready
when you see. I haven't told you the New Jersey
one because I think that my by since I have
(49:32):
a lot of friends in Jersey from just I'm going
to send that one out next.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
And it's one. It's a beauty. I can't wait take up.
Speaker 9 (49:43):
It's Oh, New Jersey is the one?
Speaker 8 (49:48):
Are you doing?
Speaker 9 (49:49):
He's the one who made me who I just as strong?
And then there's a second ridiculous she looks across the
Hudson that you're like a hawk with her claws and
her beak.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
She will set free but support you know what I mean, like.
Speaker 9 (50:11):
We're gonna support each other. It for me and and
that's the beginning of it. I have a second part
that I'm gonna not gonna spoil it. I'm I'm gonna
put it out for you guys. It's a magical song.
And the kids love it too, you know they they
there's a part there the second verse that but when
(50:31):
when when I release it? If you're following me, I mean,
if you're following me, you can you can hear you know.
And but the second part it's amazing too.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
You know.
Speaker 9 (50:49):
Now I haven't embedded it like it's it's.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Weird how you know.
Speaker 9 (50:54):
I can have the song at the beginning in my
head and that I'm trying to and then.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
I can figure it.
Speaker 9 (50:58):
I mean, it's just now it's just.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Coming so natural.
Speaker 9 (51:01):
You know, now that I now that I'm able to
do this like with you and I'm able to share
some music of mine. Now, it's just like it just opened.
Speaker 1 (51:10):
You know.
Speaker 9 (51:10):
If you don't really know me, you don't know my capabilities.
This is the nervous side of either, you know what
I mean, the one that says, you know, like the
one that the unknown, the one that the real me
if I let loose, Oh my god, you know what
I mean. That's another that's another guy that I hope
(51:34):
that one day I feel the confidence or have the
confidence that he can come out, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (51:41):
But God always in front of me, and he's the
one that's gonna make it happen. If it's gonna happen,
I don't do it for fame or I don't do
it for my I'm fine the way I am. I live,
Thank God. My wife is very supportive of me and
my family. I'm rich already, you know what I mean.
(52:02):
I'm a millionaires, got my family like that is with me.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
You know, with them. For me, that's all I need.
Speaker 9 (52:12):
The music I put out, I can touch somebody's heart,
we can move somebody in the right direction something. For me,
that's a game that's elect It's since I don't know.
I went with an agent. I went with Starlight. They're
amazed with an amazing team. They have any new any
(52:36):
new artists that's looking for for for a good age,
and somebody that really likes you know, because I'm nervous.
I don't know them, you know, but they're they're they're
from their word and they're honest, and they're I love them,
you know, and I'm going to be with them in
this whole journey. I don't leave I don't leave them Starlight.
(52:58):
So Nico team, Nico and the team are amazing and
and they I think they understand because I talked to
Nico many times though, and he knows where I'm coming from,
you know what I mean, right, And but what a
(53:19):
special team that is still still helping me. We're in
the beginning of this journey. We still have a lot
more that we need to do with them, but I'm
so happy that I'm with them, and I will definitely
any anybody who's out there listening, start you Starlight. They're
(53:40):
they're the ones n me. They're honest, We'll let you know.
And they have a really good team of really good
everybody and their team special awesome. I want to give
them a shout out. I also want to give you
you a shout out. I will be following you now on.
From now on, I want to see all the other
(54:01):
new artists that are coming out. I listen to their
music now, you know, see what's up, you know, see
that's out there. And then if I ever get into
a studio, if I ever make it there and I
can get a drummer there or somebody to help me,
I'm right now, I'm playing chords because I don't have
a bass guitarist. I don't have anybody helping me, although
(54:23):
even the timing is me and everything. So I have
to play the bass licks and I have to do
the guitar licks, so it's you know, and I have
to get the words into It's hard to me to
do too many things like solo ing.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
I can.
Speaker 9 (54:38):
I'm a soloist too, I can solo all but it's
just too many things. I couldn't put everything in. I
just wanted to get like the blueprint of the song,
at least the basics of it, you know, all right,
but definitely yeah, any song can get perfected, you know,
or read me. You know what I mean in the future.
(55:00):
All right, brother, that's to him. Anything else you want?
You any other questions maybe you wanted to ask me or.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
I did, but we're out of time and we have
to wrap up, all right, all right, listeners, Yes, sir, listeners.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Just in case you need those links to a social
media don't worry.
Speaker 4 (55:19):
I will have the links and the description of this
episode and in the show notes, so don't worry about
a thing.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
It will connect you right to Carlos.
Speaker 4 (55:28):
What a beautiful conversation and story time with Carlos Alberto
for Harto, it's.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
A rare occasion.
Speaker 4 (55:37):
Did I get a chance to just sit back and
soak in the information, the story, the passion that these
artists are displaying these interviews and on their records. So
it was a treat for me just to sit here
and listen Carlos speak about his passion. His debut single,
thank You Mama, reminds us that the simplest message just
can carry the most meaning, Like it means something to
(56:00):
me that I'm going to play for my mother. And
sometimes all it takes is one voice, one guitar, and
one honest thank you to the people who shape their lives.
So make sure you scream thank you Mama, make sure
you share it with someone who deserves appreciation, and follow
Carlos Alberto Fhardo as he continues his musical journey. And
(56:22):
remember you're not just here for a talk show. And
this isn't just radio, this is revival for your mind, body, spirit.
This is Vigilantes Radio Live. Thank you so much, Carlos.
It was a pleasure.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Have a good night,
and thank you for your time.
Speaker 8 (56:43):
Yes, sir, and thank you absolutely, take care brother, Thank.
Speaker 6 (56:47):
You, Peace to all. My name is Dean and I
am the host of Vigilantes Radio Live. I think that
we are.
Speaker 3 (56:58):
Beyond just.
Speaker 6 (57:01):
Asking cool questions and getting cool responses. I think that
we are here as creatives to provide an example that
you can do things different outside of expectations. Because some
of us simply were not born into the club. But
(57:21):
there is perhaps a door window or backgate that we
can leave a clue for you to get into. Life
is short, but there are plenty of moments to try
and get it right. Pursuing your dreams and learning from
