The warning signs are everywhere—surging subprime auto delinquencies, rising foreclosures, mass layoffs, and a grim outlook for college grads entering the 2026 job market. In this segment, we revisit predictions made back in 2020 about the coming financial turbulence and the Fed’s blind spots, all now unfolding in real time. But chaos doesn’t mean panic. Instead of “Sell, Mortimer, sell!” we break down how an anti-fragile personal CFO strategy can turn market storms into long-term strength, helping investors come out tougher on the other side.

out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,

Speaker 2 (00:16):
All right, guys, again we do what reality here on
the program Storms Ahead. See. I wrote a column back
in It was back in September of twenty twenty and
it's up on our archives on our site basically calling
everything that was going to happen in regards to financial calamities,

(00:36):
problems within the markets, meme stocks. Again, we totally ripped
in to the Fed and Jay Powell with the whole
I see nothing, I know nothing when it comes to inflation.
It was like Hogan's Heroes for crying out loud. We're
being told, we're being told. It's like there's a great
U two song way back way back on the album

(00:59):
War and it was actually the song was actually about
the Polish solidarity movement. It's called New Year's Day and lyrics.
There's lyrics in that. And so we are told, this
is the Golden age that's being told, and gold is
the reason for the wars. We wage anyway, it's good too.

(01:22):
I'm looking at the numbers here, guys. Subprime auto delinquencies
worst in over thirty years. Foreclosures have surged twenty percent
as Americans struggle to pay mortgages. The jobs market for

(01:45):
college grads in twenty twenty six, they're predicting it to
be one of the worst ever. Latest mass layoffs happen today.
I was first told Verizon is going to lay off
fifteen thousand of their one hundred thousand workers. I'm now

(02:06):
hearing that it's going to be twenty twenty percent of
their workforce. A lot of things out there at storms ahead.
Does this mean, does this mean that, oh no, we
gotta sell now, sell Mortimer clle get out. One of

(02:28):
the things that we try to explain to it, it's
our personal CFO program, and I've talked about it in
terms of having an anti fragile portfolio. Storms. While they
can be stressful when going through them, if you're prepared
properly and you have an anti fragile portfolio, you come

(02:50):
out on the other side stronger than going in. And
that's what it's about, Okay, managing not just managing risk,
being resilient to risk, but thriving off it. In the
same way, you take a beating at the gym and
you beat yourself up and you work out hard. Okay,

(03:10):
guess what. After you beat yourself up, you come out
stronger on the other side, and that that's that's how
we manage money. Watchdog on Wall Street dot Com
