County officials say state law prevents them from discussing possible
child protective services involvement, but in internal review they say
is underway. The county has also asked the State Office

child between May eighth and May tenth, causing severe head injuries, bruising,

Another court hearing today for a suspect in the nineteen
ninety two Rochester murder, Arthur Jason Junior chargs was secondary
murder and the death of Victoria Johnson. Police ate Jason
stab Johnson to death in October nineteen ninety two and
had buried her body before moving it to a vacant
lot on Rudder Street. Jason was arrested back in November
twenty twenty four. His codefiend at Roy Green was extradited
from Canada back in January to also face a murder charge.

Four young men are facing gun charges after a stop
on Rochester's northeast poll They say they stopped at car

Mayor Bully Kevins has renewed Rochester's gun violence Emergency Order.

about this time or so, folks started showing up for
work at the Ibero American Action League, one of its
several properties over on Clifford Avenue, I think that's where
their headquarters would be. And as they arrived, they noticed,
according to an account from the President Vibia, as they arrived,

they noticed that there were vehicles dispersed across the parking lot.
Individuals were in these vehicles and the individuals seem to
be wearing green tactical vests. So at Iberi American Action League,
which is I think the oldest Hispanic focused a nonprofit

in town, it certainly is the largest, very powerful, very wealthy.
The city council president works for Ibero American Action League.
At any rate, they apparently, according to the President of Ibero,
have a plan in case ICE should show Immigrations and
Customs Enforcement federal law enforcement officers charged by the Congress

with enforcing immigration law. They apparently at Ibero have a
plan on how to respond should ICE show up. And well,
the initiated the plan and according to a post from
the President of Ibero on Facebook late yesterday afternoon, they
sort of shut down operations for the day. She went
(05:59):
to the park parking lot, went to one of the vehicles,
asked if they were there to receive services. The individual
inside said no, and she said, then, well, we'll have
to ask you to leave. This is private property, and
the parking lot is reserved for those to whom we
provide services or those who are employed here. And so

the vehicles she didn't number how many or describe what
type the vehicles left the parking lot. She reported one
of them subsequently parked on the street in front of Ibiro,
and she likewise reported that through the day, vehicles which
(06:42):
she believed were associated with ICE periodically passed by on
Clifford Avenue. I think she characterized it sort of like
a shark circling prey. At any rate, this based on
the post, caused a lot of concern and upset. And

you know, I appreciate that we all have our different perspectives,
and you know, I certainly respect yours, and you know,
we've all lived our own lives, I guess, but I
find myself mystified that the enforcement of federal law is
so vilified and so frightening to people. I think that

those politicians, and you know that would include, to be
honest with you, almost all of the senior elected Democrats
in our area. I'm disgusted by politicians who have whipped
up such antipathy towards federal law enforcement officers and such

fear in people to turn the people of a community,
I guess we'll call this the community of the United States.
To turn the people against the officers of government. When
you know you yourself, Joe Morelli are an officer of government,

just strikes me as somewhere between well unpatriotic and almost insurrectionist,

of Rochester started originally to meet the needs of people
from Puerto Rico who had come to Rochester for work.
Of course, people from Puerto Rico are and have been
for one hundred years plus citizens of the United States
of America and have no concern or dealings with immigration

officials of any sort. But any way, yesterday and I Biro,
the president of that nonprofit, believes that there were ICE
officers in the parking lot. She told them to leave it,
being private property. Subsequently, she believed that an ICE officer
sat parked on the curb out in front of the building,

and she shut down programming for the day. She said
in a Facebook post, my thought would be that if
you fear your employees or the people you're providing services
to our illegal aliens and would be subject possibly to
(10:39):
arrest by immigration officials. I think that the problem is
with you, not with them. It is you who are
facilitating the breaking of federal law. Right now, here's the deal, friends,
we're Americans, and we don't have to like the law.
In fact, from the founding our republic, with the ratification
(11:03):
of the Constitution, you've always had people who've disagreed with
this law, that law, or the other law. And we
long since have figured out how you handle that. If
you're a citizen in a republic, right, if you don't
like a law, you try to change it. But until
it's changed, it is the law. And i'd politely like

to say to the good people at IBIRO, as opposed
to vilifying and demonizing federal law enforcement officers, It's interesting.
In twenty twenty the Democrats wanted us to hate local
law enforcement officers. In twenty twenty six, they want us
to hate federal law enforcement officers. It's interesting how in

the run up to significant elections our Democrat friends want
us to hate cops of one stripe or another. Is
it to motivate voter base? I'm not exactly sure.

As opposed to vilifying men and women who are merely
one doing their jobs and two enforcing the laws of
the United States. If at Iberro or any place else
you don't like those laws, which is absolutely your prerogative

and right right, then you should march over to Joe
Moreley's office and you should protest there, not against immigrations
and customs enforcement, but against the congressmen, who, by the way,
has done nothing to change the laws that you say
you don't like. And who knows. I mean, I'm not

saying our immigration laws are perfect. Quite obviously, they have
for generations created problems, not solved them. They have screwed
our country, they have screwed the want of the immigrants.
Everybody loses. And yet it's in the political interest of
the Democratic Party, with which obviously Ibiro is hand and
Glove affiliated. But it's in the interest of the Democratic

Party to vilify law enforcement officers, to scapegoat people, right,
people who are serving our country and who are doing
nothing other than enforcing laws that were passed by the
body to which Joe Morelli, Claudia Tenny, Nick Langworthy, mister Kennedy,

mister Manyon, wherever you live, whoever represents you. All these
officers are doing are enforcing laws that were passed by
the Congress. The Congress, elected by the people, works on
our behalf, speaks our voice for us. If you don't
like the law, Okay, I understand that that's your prerogative,

you go talk to Joe. But vilifying and scapegoating and
creating danger for federal law enforcement officers so that you
might gain political advantage in a looming election gin up
your base is despicable. And to the good folks at Ibia,

God bless you as you go about your important duties today.
But if you are employing or harboring people who are
here in violation of American law, you, like all the
rest of US citizens, have an obligation to support the
law and its enforcement. Right. The problem you have with

folks tracking them down online and posing literally not just

just themselves off duty, but also to their families and
their homes. What would it be like to be the
son or daughter or the spouse of an ice officer.
What would it be like to watch the evening news
and have again senior public officials Milik Evans condemning what

your mom or dad does for a living. What would
it be like to have again your spouse, your sweetheart
on the evening news described in the vilest terms and
depicted as like the stormtroopers of our day, as some
evil agents equated with people back in Nazi Germany. What

would that be like? What's that due to the head,
the emotions of these people and who are these people?
What did they do well? They set out to have
a career, to find a way to make a living.
They are interessed in law enforcement. Clearly they were able
to secure appointment to an academy to become an officer

of the federal government. And they have set out, like
I don't know, every park ranger, every state troop, or
every county deputy, every city or village cop. They set
out to protect and to serve right with the unique mission.
Several federal law enforcement agencies have unique missions enforcing the

law passed by the people's representatives. And to have then
the people, goaded by politicians in the press, turn and
spit in your face and antagonistically and angrily attack who
you are and what you do. Imagine how horrific that must.

of the program, we learned about the filing of a
notice acclaim against the Town of Greece, its supervisor and
town board by police Chief Michael Wood, who has been
on administrative leave since May, and you know, he alleges

they're trying to push him out. They of course put
him on that administrative la leave, saying they were conducting
an investigation into his hiring of a deputy chief, an
officer then of the Rochester Police Department, last name is Xenilovic.
We talked about that back in May. The allegation seemingly

was that Mike Wood did not do due diligence and
that by hiring Xanalovic it demonstrated poor management or something
like that. Well, I was able at that point to
you know, look into this matter and determine that there
had been an investigation of Xanalovic by a trooper that
(22:28):
was an interesting situation about which people have very divergent
and very strongly held opinions, people in senior positions of
law enforcement in our community. And I'm sorry when we
go to the mister John Detulio, Sir, our things out there, Camp, Bobby.

It's nice, you know, crowds again, really really good weather
thus far cooperating. What is this the second to last practice,
the penultimate, I guess, and then that's it. Then they

It's a variable clouds our forecast today. The little rain

Greece police Chief Michael Wood again, they put him on
administrative leave, they being the town supervisor Jeff McCann, seemingly

questioning the wisdom of hiring as a deputy chief this
man Xenolovac out of the City of Police Department I
at the time in May, just to reiterate what you
and I discussed. Then I was able to look and
find and talk. And Michael Wood reached out repeatedly to
(26:36):
the New York State Police, the agency that conducted an investigation,
or actually a member of the State Police without authorization
from supervisors, investigated Xenolovic and in fact continued the investigation
after being told by supervisors that there was nothing there
and he should abandon it. But Michael Wood reached out
(26:58):
repeatedly to members New York State Police as he was
considering hiring Xenoalovic to see if there was anything in
the background that would be problematic or that he should
know about. And so the assertion that Michael Wood was
negligent in screening or learning about Xenaalovic before the hire
is baseless. And if that's all they have against him,
(27:21):
then you know that's pretty baseless. Here's my thought though,
and I'll shut up. We talked, We said this at
the end of Esday's show, But I recognize when you
have a new Town supervisor, that supervisor has got a
right to have his people as department heads. And the
notion that a Republican supervisor would be replaced by a
(27:41):
Democrat supervisor, and that that Democrat supervisor would remove department heads,
that's no surprise to anybody. And Jeff McCann has you know,
it's his prerogative to have his own police chief. I
don't argue against that. However, Michael Wood is all to
an honorable law enforcement officer who has given the entirety
(28:03):
of his adult life to the service of first the
City of Rochester and now the Town of Greece, and
to be smirch him or to screw him over in
this process is not appropriate and is not justified. The
supervisor's got the right to have whoever he wants for chief,
(28:24):
and Mike Wood has the right to be treated with
respect and dignity. And he went understanding that McCann wanted
to get rid of him. He went and said, okay,
let's let's let's talk. Let's talk about a severance. And
the town decided to go a different route. And I
think that's unnecessary and probably uncalled for. And he has
(28:46):
now brought notice of claim, and I think the smart
thing to do would be to negotiate a severance package
for Michael Wood that allows him to go off and
have more of a career if he chooses, but also
respects the fact that he at an outstanding job in Greece,
in that he has an outstanding record as a law

County officials say state law prevents them from discussing possible
child protective services involvement, but in internal review they say

child between May eighth and May tenth, causing severe head injuries, bruising,

Another court hearing today for a suspect in the nineteen
ninety two Rochester murder, Arthur Jason Junior chargs was secondary
murder and the death of Victoria Johnson. Police ate Jason
stab Johnson to death in October nineteen ninety two and
had buried her body before moving it to a vacant
lot on Rudder Street. Jason was arrested back in November
twenty twenty four. His codefiend at Roy Green was extradited
from Canada back in January to also face a murder charge.

work at the Ibero American Action League, one of its
several properties over on Clifford Avenue, I think that's where
their headquarters would be. And as they arrived, they noticed,

they noticed that there were vehicles dispersed across the parking lot.
Individuals were in these vehicles and the individuals seem to
be wearing green tactical vests. So at Iberi American Action League,
which is I think the oldest Hispanic focused a nonprofit

in town, it certainly is the largest, very powerful, very wealthy.
The city council president works for Ibero American Action League.
At any rate, they apparently, according to the President of Ibero,
have a plan in case ICE should show Immigrations and
Customs Enforcement federal law enforcement officers charged by the Congress

with enforcing immigration law. They apparently at Ibero have a
plan on how to respond should ICE show up. And well,
the initiated the plan and according to a post from
the President of Ibero on Facebook late yesterday afternoon, they
sort of shut down operations for the day. She went

to the park parking lot, went to one of the vehicles,
asked if they were there to receive services. The individual
inside said no, and she said, then, well, we'll have
to ask you to leave. This is private property, and
the parking lot is reserved for those to whom we
provide services or those who are employed here. And so

the vehicles she didn't number how many or describe what
type the vehicles left the parking lot. She reported one
of them subsequently parked on the street in front of Ibiro,
and she likewise reported that through the day, vehicles which
(06:42):
she believed were associated with ICE periodically passed by on
Clifford Avenue. I think she characterized it sort of like
a shark circling prey. At any rate, this based on
the post, caused a lot of concern and upset. And

you know, I appreciate that we all have our different perspectives,
and you know, I certainly respect yours, and you know,
we've all lived our own lives, I guess, but I
find myself mystified that the enforcement of federal law is
so vilified and so frightening to people. I think that

those politicians, and you know that would include, to be
honest with you, almost all of the senior elected Democrats
in our area. I'm disgusted by politicians who have whipped
up such antipathy towards federal law enforcement officers and such

fear in people to turn the people of a community,
I guess we'll call this the community of the United States.
To turn the people against the officers of government. When
you know you yourself, Joe Morelli are an officer of government,

just strikes me as somewhere between well unpatriotic and almost insurrectionist,

Of course, people from Puerto Rico are and have been
for one hundred years plus citizens of the United States
of America and have no concern or dealings with immigration

officials of any sort. But any way, yesterday and I Biro,
the president of that nonprofit, believes that there were ICE
officers in the parking lot. She told them to leave it,
being private property. Subsequently, she believed that an ICE officer
sat parked on the curb out in front of the building,

and she shut down programming for the day. She said
in a Facebook post, my thought would be that if
you fear your employees or the people you're providing services
to our illegal aliens and would be subject possibly to
(10:39):
arrest by immigration officials. I think that the problem is
with you, not with them. It is you who are
facilitating the breaking of federal law. Right now, here's the deal, friends,
we're Americans, and we don't have to like the law.
In fact, from the founding our republic, with the ratification
(11:03):
of the Constitution, you've always had people who've disagreed with
this law, that law, or the other law. And we
long since have figured out how you handle that. If
you're a citizen in a republic, right, if you don't
like a law, you try to change it. But until
it's changed, it is the law. And i'd politely like
(11:26):
to say to the good people at IBIRO, as opposed
to vilifying and demonizing federal law enforcement officers, It's interesting.
In twenty twenty the Democrats wanted us to hate local
law enforcement officers. In twenty twenty six, they want us
to hate federal law enforcement officers. It's interesting how in

the run up to significant elections our Democrat friends want
us to hate cops of one stripe or another. Is
it to motivate voter base? I'm not exactly sure.

As opposed to vilifying men and women who are merely
one doing their jobs and two enforcing the laws of
the United States. If at Iberro or any place else
you don't like those laws, which is absolutely your prerogative

Moreley's office and you should protest there, not against immigrations
and customs enforcement, but against the congressmen, who, by the way,
has done nothing to change the laws that you say
you don't like. And who knows. I mean, I'm not

saying our immigration laws are perfect. Quite obviously, they have
for generations created problems, not solved them. They have screwed
our country, they have screwed the want of the immigrants.
Everybody loses. And yet it's in the political interest of
the Democratic Party, with which obviously Ibiro is hand and
Glove affiliated. But it's in the interest of the Democratic

Party to vilify law enforcement officers, to scapegoat people, right,
people who are serving our country and who are doing
nothing other than enforcing laws that were passed by the
body to which Joe Morelli, Claudia Tenny, Nick Langworthy, mister Kennedy,

mister Manyon, wherever you live, whoever represents you. All these
officers are doing are enforcing laws that were passed by
the Congress. The Congress, elected by the people, works on
our behalf, speaks our voice for us. If you don't
like the law, Okay, I understand that that's your prerogative,

you go talk to Joe. But vilifying and scapegoating and
creating danger for federal law enforcement officers so that you
might gain political advantage in a looming election gin up
your base is despicable. And to the good folks at Ibia,

But if you are employing or harboring people who are
here in violation of American law, you, like all the
rest of US citizens, have an obligation to support the
law and its enforcement. Right. The problem you have with

son or daughter or the spouse of an ice officer.
What would it be like to watch the evening news
and have again senior public officials Milik Evans condemning what

your mom or dad does for a living. What would
it be like to have again your spouse, your sweetheart
on the evening news described in the vilest terms and
depicted as like the stormtroopers of our day, as some
evil agents equated with people back in Nazi Germany. What

would that be like? What's that due to the head,
the emotions of these people and who are these people?
What did they do well? They set out to have
a career, to find a way to make a living.
They are interessed in law enforcement. Clearly they were able
to secure appointment to an academy to become an officer

of the federal government. And they have set out, like
I don't know, every park ranger, every state troop, or
every county deputy, every city or village cop. They set
out to protect and to serve right with the unique mission.
Several federal law enforcement agencies have unique missions enforcing the

law passed by the people's representatives. And to have then
the people, goaded by politicians in the press, turn and
spit in your face and antagonistically and angrily attack who
you are and what you do. Imagine how horrific that must.

of the program, we learned about the filing of a
notice acclaim against the Town of Greece, its supervisor and
town board by police Chief Michael Wood, who has been
on administrative leave since May, and you know, he alleges

they're trying to push him out. They of course put
him on that administrative la leave, saying they were conducting
an investigation into his hiring of a deputy chief, an
officer then of the Rochester Police Department, last name is Xenilovic.
We talked about that back in May. The allegation seemingly

was that Mike Wood did not do due diligence and
that by hiring Xanalovic it demonstrated poor management or something
like that. Well, I was able at that point to
you know, look into this matter and determine that there
had been an investigation of Xanalovic by a trooper that

was an interesting situation about which people have very divergent
and very strongly held opinions, people in senior positions of
law enforcement in our community. And I'm sorry when we
go to the mister John Detulio, Sir, our things out there, Camp, Bobby.

John to Tully, is the purpose of camp to sort
out who we want to keep on the team, or
is to begin learning plays that we will use through

I think I think it's probably a combination. They're looking
because there's some there's only a handful of jobs, Bob,
that are up for grounds. What they're looking at. You know,
you've got the battle at left guard, you got the
battle at left corner, and the battle at linebacker.

Looking for are backups. Who who is going to get reps.

We're looking for a little depth at corner, depth at linebacker,
depth at defensive tackle. So there's guys battling, not necessarily

that has been basically installed throughout the spring. So right
now it's just getting the chemistry down, getting reps down,

Greece police Chief Michael Wood again, they put him on
administrative leave, they being the town supervisor Jeff McCann, seemingly

questioning the wisdom of hiring as a deputy chief this
man Xenolovac out of the City of Police Department I
at the time in May, just to reiterate what you
and I discussed. Then I was able to look and
find and talk. And Michael Wood reached out repeatedly to
(26:36):
the New York State Police, the agency that conducted an investigation,
or actually a member of the State Police without authorization
from supervisors, investigated Xenolovic and in fact continued the investigation
after being told by supervisors that there was nothing there
and he should abandon it. But Michael Wood reached out
(26:58):
repeatedly to members New York State Police as he was
considering hiring Xenoalovic to see if there was anything in
the background that would be problematic or that he should
know about. And so the assertion that Michael Wood was
negligent in screening or learning about Xenaalovic before the hire
is baseless. And if that's all they have against him,
(27:21):
then you know that's pretty baseless. Here's my thought though,
and I'll shut up. We talked, We said this at
the end of Esday's show, But I recognize when you
have a new Town supervisor, that supervisor has got a
right to have his people as department heads. And the
notion that a Republican supervisor would be replaced by a
(27:41):
Democrat supervisor, and that that Democrat supervisor would remove department heads,
that's no surprise to anybody. And Jeff McCann has you know,
it's his prerogative to have his own police chief. I
don't argue against that. However, Michael Wood is all to
an honorable law enforcement officer who has given the entirety
(28:03):
of his adult life to the service of first the
City of Rochester and now the Town of Greece, and
to be smirch him or to screw him over in
this process is not appropriate and is not justified. The
supervisor's got the right to have whoever he wants for chief,
(28:24):
and Mike Wood has the right to be treated with
respect and dignity. And he went understanding that McCann wanted
to get rid of him. He went and said, okay,
let's let's let's talk. Let's talk about a severance. And
the town decided to go a different route. And I
think that's unnecessary and probably uncalled for. And he has
(28:46):
now brought notice of claim, and I think the smart
thing to do would be to negotiate a severance package
for Michael Wood that allows him to go off and
have more of a career if he chooses, but also
respects the fact that he at an outstanding job in Greece,
in that he has an outstanding record as a law
enforcement officer. End a story, back with you a moment
