INSiiGHTS has spirited discussion on the performances of the HBCUs “pride & joy” basketball teams in the NCAA Tournaments. March Madness started with optimism as a result of the North Carolina Central men’s team starting with the highest seed of a Black College Division I team and the Lady Pirates of Hampton starting with the highest seed EVER given to an HBCU program as a 12th seed. INSiiGHTS looks at both programs came crashing to earth leaving many wondering if we can compete at the Division I level.
