Host: Joni Aldrich Guest: Dr. Dale Peterson (Author, Building Health by Design) Topic: Compounded Stress & Health Info: The “Social Readjustment Rating Scale” was developed by Thomas Holmes and Richard Rahe, and was based on the theory that good and bad events in a person’s life can increase stress levels, and make them more susceptible to illness and mental health problems. Caregivers are particularly vulnerable to stressers, and the way they approach these challenges is critical for their emotional, mental and physical wellness.
