RadioMD News... I'm John Byrd.Health officials have confirmed the first U.S. death from the Zika virus. The infected patient was a resident of Puerto Rico, where there are 683 confirmed cases of Zika, including 65 pregnant women with symptoms of the virus.This is RadioMD News... The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the Dole Food Company over a deadly Listeria outbreak linked to it's packaged salad products. Dole, the world's largest fruit and vegetable producer, said in a statement that it was co-operating with the D.O.J.And... in a related note... to avoid food poisoning, there's an app for that. The FoodKeeper app enables users to set up automatic notifications when foods or beverages are nearing the end of their recommended "best by" dates. The app also shows how to best store more than 400 food items to extend their life, and cooking advice to eliminate foodborne bacteria. The best part?
