Offenses across the NFL have begun to use two tight end sets more than ever before, and we are having a revitalization of the fullback position in recent years. Since entering the league in 2018, Alexander has been one of the better cornerbacks in the sport. He can play man or zone, and so is a good fit for Mike Macdonald's scheme. The Seahawks also have plenty of money, though the cost should be somewhat inexpensive considering Alexander's recent injury history. Let's discuss whether this is the right big move to make at this time.

The return yardage from the previous season doubled, and the amount of touchbacks went down. Well, the NFL is pushing this further, moving a ball downed in the end zone now to the 35-yard line in 2025. We might just see a true renaissance in regards to kick offs again, and this part of the game going from one that has been recently automatic to a key part of the game.

No real bad contracts on the books. No tens of millions of dollars in dead money. Very little use of void years. General Manager John Schneider has set the stage for the Seahawks to be able to be aggressive when the time is right.

Indeed, the NFC West has at times turned into an arms race. On the show, we're going to take a look at the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams off-seasons and see if they have continued to put the pedal to the metal.

A few years ago, the Seattle Seahawks bucked the rule of thumb, bucked analytics, taking running backs in the second round in back to back seasons. And while currently the Seahawks have as deep and strong stable of backs as you'll find in the NFL, they've struggled to maximize that talent. The rule of thumb has been proven true, at least so far, and given the Front Office and John Schneider a chance to learn some tough lessons.
