April 24, 2024: Host Adam Kaufman (Twitter @adammkaufman) is joined by Dan Watkins (@danwatkinsradio) and guests Sean Green (@seantgreen) from the Sports Gambling Podcast Network, MassLive's Mark Daniels (@bymarkdaniels), Joe Dellera (@joedellera) of the Action Network, and NBC Sports' Brad Thomas (@mrbradthomas). Boy, we've got a lot for you! The wait's almost over, and Daniels lays out the Patriots' plan for Thursday's opening round of the NFL Draft. It'll be a quarterback...but, which one? Plus, if you like making money, Green has a number of ways to bet the draft. The Celtics laid a massive egg as heavy favorites at home opposite the Heat, so it's a best-of-five on the way to South Beach. Dellera handicaps that series, along with a few others that have jumped out to 2-0 leads. On the ice, Bruins lead the Maple Leafs, thanks in large part to Jeremy Swayman. Will Boston stick with him? Thomas has thoughts.

(00:00):
The Gambler starts. Now, here'sAdam Kaufman. All right, we got
a lot of stuff to get intoin these next couple hours. So Hi,
welcome back. Good to have youwith us. You may have wondered,
where have you been. It's beenmore than a week. We haven't
been getting the podcast on our feed. Why aren't these coming through we put

(00:20):
on our ko at night? Youguys aren't there? What is happening?
I had people earlier today asking me, I haven't seen you posting a lot
of bets on the Action app oreverything. Okay, took a little time.
Took a little time. We tooka vacation, show vacation. We
didn't all go away together, butI guess it was a show vacation.

(00:41):
So we were on Marathon Monday.Haven't been on since. We posted some
bets. There were some. Therewere a half dozen or so, maybe
a little bit more than that betweenDan here, Dan, Hello, Hi,
Adam and Brian Thank you? Brian, Hi, Hi. These two
got not good. These two guyswere posting bets while I was on vacation.

(01:03):
And the really funny thing. Idon't know if you guys realized this
after the fact, I'm the onethat you know, keeps track of everything
on my big glorious spreadsheet here. But you can see right on the app
what what has happened, what hastranspired. These guys could not have possibly
broken more even than they did zero. So I don't know how many bets

(01:29):
exactly you guys posted between the two. I think we went three and three,
maybe that's what it was. Butthe funny thing was when we took
our break, we were as ashow plus one eighty three point three three
units, and upon our return wereplus one eighty three point three. Okay,

(01:52):
so minus point oh three minus pointoh three on the bets that were
placed during the brief on air hiatus. So nothing venture, nothing gain,
nothing lost, no no no issues. There were still on our well,
I have lots of issues, butwe're still on our chase for obviously,
plus two hundred units to to enterMay. That is our goal. That's

(02:15):
six were chasing where it's it's gonnabe a rabid push because we'll have bets.
We obviously we posted bets today andalready kind of getting screwed, and
we'll talk about that. We're gonnahave more bets obviously that we will give
you four tomorrow and throughout the weekend. We are on the chase clearly,
let's let's do our best to tryand make that happen collectively. I'm looking

(02:37):
forward to it. But we haveourselves another one show week here. It
would have been two because obviously wewe have shows Monday through Thursday. Generally
today is Wednesday, so that shouldset up tomorrow NFL Draft and Round one,
and who wouldn't want to be onduring that. Unfortunately, due to

(02:59):
a personal man her I'll just nothiding it. My grandmother passed away at
one hundred years old. She didit. She outlived Betty White, but
not by much. And so thefuneral family, all of that that is,
you know, taking priority. Andso we have the one show tonight
and then it is it's back ona hiatus until Monday. Monday will be

(03:23):
back. Monday will be normal andwe will have full show weeks as they
exist for us going forward. Noimmediate plans works out. Dan wasn't gonna
be with us tomorrow night anyway. He's going to bachel the party in Arizona
this weekend. So we were gonnabe down a man tomorrow anyway. Now
we're just down a show entirely, but we're sandwiching as much as possible into

(03:43):
this one show. Tonight. Weare going to do a lot as it
relates to the NFL Draft, becauseit is NFL Draft Eve Sean Green from
the Sportscandling podcast Network. We hadhis buddy, one of his co hosts,
Ryan Kramer, on with us onthe Monday before our break. We
will have Sean on tonight talking throughhow to bet this thing because the news,
the reports, the rumors, allof it's fast and furious. I

(04:08):
truly and we'll spend much more timeon this later. But I don't know.
I thought I knew what the Patriotswere going to do, and now
I kind of feel like they're goingto trade down. I really don't know
what's gonna happen. I want MarkDaniels intel on this. He covers the
team for Mass Live. He's goingto join us in the second hour.
And then because both the Celtics andBruins are in the playoffs and both played

(04:31):
tonight, we will do NBA playofftalk and Celtics playoff talk with Joe Delaire
from the Action Network. Will doa People's Parlay with him as well Brad
Thomas, NBC Sports and the GoldBoys Network. He's going to join us
talk Bruins and the Stanley Cup playoffs. And if you're annoyed, if you're
frustrated with where things stand right nowwith Dan had sent out a text earlier

(04:56):
and it said the Boston parlay meaningCeltics berw Red Sox all to win plus
three fifty five. The fade Bostonparlay was plus twenty eight hundred, and
of course nobody expected that. AndI wasn't really expecting the Boston parlay,
which I did not place even justfor funzies, because I figured Red Sox
aren't gonna win this game. There'sno We're not We're not gonna have them.

(05:19):
They show not with this this Chriswellguy on the mound, whoever that
is. But the Bruins would swaymanback. They should take care of business.
And obviously the free square is theCeltics fourteen and a half point favorites
at home against a Heat team theythrottled last time out, and there's still
no Jimmy Butler probably doesn't play inthis whole series. Well, what happens
the Celtics punch me in the inthe privates and go down like they were

(05:46):
barely even competitive in this game, lose by ten. I really, I
was saying to Brian before. Therewasn't even really a point in this game
where it was in doubt to meuntil five six minutes left, and then
I just kept watching the heat hitshot after shot, and my Twitter mentions
have been on fire ever since, with the sky is falling, Miami's better,

(06:12):
this is Joe Mizula's fault. Celticshave lost the series. This is
why nobody trusts them, Miami andsix or all this stuff. And I
will just say this, and I'vetweeted some of this, but I will
just say this Dan, and thenI will stop rambling. And by the
way, congrats to the Bruins andthe Celtics for actually doing your part tonight.
Red Sox. Bruins and Red Sox, pardon me. And you cannot

(06:34):
Jim Montgomery. I don't know whathe said postgame. I haven't even looked
at it, but you cannot comeback with linaz el markin game four.
You have to come back with JeremySwayman at You're up to one. Stop
dicking around. You gotta come backwith swaymen. But as far as the
Celtics go, even without Jimmy Butler, even with what we saw in Game

(06:54):
one, no part of me,because I know this Celtics team, no
part of me expected a Celtic sweep, expected them to just kick the ever
living arse out of the Heat inthis series and win this thing for nothing,
going away every game by twenty points. I never thought that was gonna
happen. I've seen the Heat toomany times in the playoffs. I've seen

(07:16):
Eric Spolstra too many times in theplayoffs. There is no way, And
and I didn't think it was gonnabe in Boston. I figured it'd be
in Miami. But there's no waythat Miami wasn't going to have at least
the one game where they couldn't freakingmiss. And that's what happened tonight.
The Heat went twenty three of fortythree, fifty four percent from three point
range. They could not miss. You got your Tyler Hero game and your

(07:43):
Caleb Martin game, and bam wasbam and the you don't need it doesn't
have to be Max Strus and DuncanRobinson like you you can and I know
Streus isn't there anymore, and Robinsonis. But you get the point,
Like Strews has been a hero forthem in the past, it doesn't have
to be these guys they now, they now they've got Jovic and the other
baby Joker, and they've got youknow, Jakeez Like they have enough guys,

(08:09):
enough shooters on this team that ofcourse there was going to be that
game, maybe even two. Butthe Celtics are unequivocally going to win this
series. So all of you getout of my mentions. Celtics are gonna
win this thing. It wouldn't surpriseme if they want it in five,
and if not five, definitely six. There's no way he goes seven.
Celtics are going to win this series. But the number of times Dan that

(08:31):
I have bitched about the Celtics inthe past playing down to their competition in
the playoffs and series taking longer thanthey needed to to win. We saw
it last year against Atlanta, wesaw it against Philly. Both of those
series took a game or two longerthen they should have to win. And
the heat obviously they should have wonthat series and they lost it. This

(08:52):
is why I've been saying all yearand I've said it to you, I've
said it on the show. Ihave said a number of times that the
Celtics would be favored in an NBAFinals matchup with the Denver Nuggets, like
by the odds, they would bethe odds on favorite to win the series.
But they shouldn't be. Denver's thebetter team. The Nuggets should be

(09:15):
the favorite team. Have we notwatched the Celtics enough to know that?
So? This game does not surpriseme, is what I am saying about
all of this, and the factthat anyone like I wanted to throw my
remote at the TV if I wasgonna hear scal say on the broadcast for
the nineteenth time in the final twominutes, shocked, I'm shocked. Shocked.

(09:39):
How could you be shocked? Youplayed on the title winning team in
eight to win seven games in thefirst round with the Hawks, How could
you be shocked? This is whatthe Celtics is an organization do. This
is what they do. They makeit harder on themselves than it has to
be, and that's what happened tonight. They're going to win. Not worried
about it at all. Miami's notgonna win this series. It doesn't sound
like it doesn't sound like you're worried. But for the second time, I'll

(10:01):
hit on the Bruins. I thinkyou pretty much just touched on everything for
the Celtics. What a night forJeremy Swayman. Let the bulldog off the
leash, Jim Montgomery, that ishis net. It should be his net
for the remainder of this series. No disrespect to Linas almar Becuz I don't
think he was the reason they lostGame two there, but Jeremy Swayman is
just on another level when it comesto playing the Toronto Maple Leaves. I

(10:22):
think he's in their heads. Hemeets twenty eight saves tonight worked for every
single one of them, as therewas just multiple times when the Bruins do
this thing that they just don't liketo clear guys out in front of the
net. We saw Toronto score acouple of goals that way tonight, but
Swayman was just absolutely outstanding. Andthen Brad marsh in two, I mean
talk about being a captain for likethe first I don't know how closely you

(10:45):
were watching the bes at him,but for like the first half of this
game, it was just like what'sup with Marshan, Like he's just something
is off with him. And thenall of a sudden, you see him
revert back to that kind of justin your face rat style of game that
he's played throughout his career. Hedraws the penalty on Bertuzzi, which leads
to the power play goal by JakeDebrusk, and then Marshan in the third

(11:05):
period with two goals, uh thegame winner and then the empty netter to
seal the deal and ty cam Neelyfor the most playoff goals in Bruin's history.
Just an outstanding night for him,and I thought Trent Frederick was good
to Those would be my three starstonight. A huge win for the Bruins,
should should hopefully swing momentum in thisseries. But we gotta wait two
nights for another one, as boththe Celtics and Bruins play Saturday night.

(11:26):
I don't get that at all.It's it's really annoying, but I think
that's the last one of those we'regonna have for a while. Yeah,
you get a you got a busySaturday night folks for and and and really
starts the Red Sox Cubs at atfour o'clock at Fenway Celtics heat at six
with that game three the Revs.I don't want to discount the Revs.
The Revs are playing Inner Miami.Yeah, that's the Inner My mess games,

(11:50):
the MESSI game. Is he gonnapay? Well, that's been the
question ever since the game, soI've I've spoken with people at the REVS
about that very thing, because peopleask me that constantly, who have bought
tickets, like he's even gonna playin this game? Doesn't doesn't he you
know, refuse to whatever with theturf thing? And I have been assured

(12:11):
that that is not an issue. That he is absolutely comfortable playing at Gillette.
But there was an injury recently, right I think? So yeah,
I think hasn't he been coming offthe bench, So that is a little
bit of a question, But asfar as I know, he's playing.
And then obviously you got the Bruinsand makele Leafs at eight o'clock. So
Saturday is that's channel flipping like youread about. But now I my kids

(12:33):
are kinda kind of be ticked thatthey really wanted to go see Messy,
But how am I supposed to godo that? When the Celtics and Bruins
are both playing playoff games that night. I have to really think about these
things, important things. Yeah, these are very much first world problems.
All right, you've heard more thanenough of me, and there is plenty
more to come of all of us. Dan here is is. I don't

(12:54):
even know how many different ways andangles he has thought about the NFL Draft.
Got at least six. You're good, perfect. We're gonna hear a
number of them and get Sean Green'stake Sports Gambling podcast Network when he comes
on. When we come back,it's The Gambler with Adam Kaffman here on
WRKO. You know, I'd alsoliked Real Quick mentioned our show plays that

(13:18):
we gave out exclusive to the Actionapp earlier. The Gambler with AK is
the handle. Do check us outthere, check out the plays. Hopefully
we can give you a It won'tbe a profitable night, but a marginal
loss. So we had one bankroll repair from Brian. I liked it.
It was the Bruins to win andthe Celtics to win. Celtics again,
should have been the free square thatwas plus one thirteen. Nope,

(13:41):
the minus eleven hundred leg ends upscrewing us Dan with the only successful play
so far, which was Derek Whiteover twelve and a half points, which
was a sweat. He finished withthirteen. Took him until the fourth quarter
to get there, came on strong, and fortunately a three pointer put him
over the top. Me just welcometo baseball, right. Atlanta Braves took

(14:03):
him on the run line tonight, which should have hit. I mean,
the Braves were heavily favored and playingat home against Miami, and it was
the playing at home part that actuallykind of screwed us here because Miami was
up, or pardon me, Atlantawas up three to one going into the
ninth inning. We need three moreroutes to seal the deal and keep the

(14:24):
people's parlay alive. Of course, coupled with an error and poor pitching allow
two runs in the ninth, goesto the tenth. It's tough to walk
it off at home with multiple runsunless it's a homer. And so four
to three win. Atlanta wins byone, not two, and now we're
sweating out Brian's that we probably won'tknow for a while. Maybe if there's
a goal's barrage while we're still inthe air, we'll see but Kings oilers,

(14:48):
we need over six to cash thatleg, and we'll see how that
ends up going. But even bestcase scenario, we lose a unit and
change tonight, which is just stupidanyway, par for the course, Let's
get to the NFL Draft. It'scoming up tomorrow, Big Night Friday,
Round one, rounds two and threeon Saturday, and of course the rest

(15:11):
on Sunday, when no one exceptfor the real diehards and junkies are paying
attention at that point in time. It's all about the madness though, and
the quarterbacks in round one, thefirst part of round one. Let's get
into it here with Sean Green,Sports Gambling podcast Network, good buddy of
ours. You can get him onTwitter at Sean T. Green when he
is not busy posting old photos ofhis partner in crime and another friend of

(15:33):
ours, Colby Dant. He hasdialed in on the NFL Draft. Sean,
how are you man? Yeah? No, I'm doing great. Yeah,
you're alluding to Colby's photo his brotherposted I re shared of him so
NC State and he's a big EastCarolina guy and he talked a ton us
back on NC State the entire collegebasketball season then had to eat a bunch

(15:58):
of crow and then add to hisbrother dug up this old photo of him
rocking at NC State hoodie, Sotime, all time throwback there, But
yeah, doing great man, can'tcomplain. So we had one of your
partners on Ryan Cramber and talk NFLDraft with us a little over a week
ago, which is also the lasttime we had a show. So now

(16:18):
on the eve of this thing,we need to really try and help the
people, tell them where they shouldbe putting their money, how they should
expect this thing to go. Andespecially in that top five, it's just
rumors, rumblings, speculation, everyoneseeing or feeling or hearing something a little
bit different. Even have JJ McCarthy, who has been linked to our beloved

(16:41):
Patriots here at number three. Idon't want it either, Dad, but
he's been linked to the Pats. You know, Kraft wants another Michigan.
When I saw that today, Ialmost this is this is what I'm saying,
Seohn, It's the silly season. It is the silly season. But
he was asked in an interview withwho is it, Rich Eisen, you
know, where do you think you'regoing to go? And he starts talking,

(17:03):
talking up the Giants, who ofcourse at picking her six the Giants
could move up, the Vikings couldmove up, the Patriots could move down.
What are you anticipating here after CalebWilliams at number one. Yeah,
so Caleb Williams at number one,I do think it stays Chalky with Jayden
Daniels going number two. Again,it's a little bit of a wild card

(17:27):
because it's a new ownership group. But I think Josh Harris, from knowing
what he you know, his timeat the Sixers, he's gonna do what
the fans want to do if youdon't draft Jayden and Daniels. I think
Commander Nation is gonna have been enoughfor so I think he's ultimately and now
you're seeing the late line. JadeDaniels is now up to mind US one

(17:48):
thousand for the number two pick,So I do think that's where that goes.
And then I think the Pats theyput and take Drake May. I
think they're waiting for someone to blowthem out of the water. I don't
think that's gonna happen. I dothink they take Drake May and yeah,
I mean I think JJ McCarthy eithergoes to the New York Giants or the
Minnesota Vikings. I think ultimately that'sgoing to be where things get interesting.

(18:12):
I would say, yeah, soI think that's a pretty good coin toss.
But yeah, that's kind of howI see you chack it out.
So when it comes to betting theseguys though, Sean, I mean,
there's really no point in betting CalebWilliams or Jad. I mean Jayden Daniels.
You can bet if you think he'sgonna fall past number two, But
at this point, this line's movedso dramatically tonight there's just no value left

(18:36):
whatsoever. So now I'm looking alittle further down the board here, I
see I can get JJ McCarthy togo top five at minus one thirty if
we think someone moves up there. Are you placing any bets on McCarthy for
tomorrow night? Are you just kindof gonna let this get whacky on its
own and leave it alone? Soyeah, I mean on McCarthy, I
think he does get pulled at six. I think it's either the because I

(18:57):
think the Vikings in the I haverealized that no one else loves McCarthy more
than they do that McCarthy isn't goingto go in the top three, and
that they can either the Giants cansay put and take McCarthy at six,
or they can trade down with theVikings. Let the Vikings get McCarthy at
six. So the fact that youcan get plus odds on the over five
and a half JJ McCarthy draft position, I think is a good bet.

(19:21):
I don't see them going up tothe number four spot. I mean the
fact that the Arizona Cardinals are puttingout there that they've gotten multiple trade offers
for the number four pick. Thatmeans to me they're trying to drive up
the market. That means they haven'tgotten they blow them away off or for
that number four pick. I thinkthe I think the Chargers and you know,

(19:41):
and the and the and the Cardinalsmight have to end up saying puts
and there is no trade down.If there is a trade up, it's
because Drake may fell out of thetop three. That's how I see it
going. What's the surprise that couldjust totally shake everything up? Like we
know, obviously we know what theBears are doing, as you outlined,

(20:02):
and we know we don't know whatthe Commanders are doing, but we know
the commanders are not moving. They'retaking a quarterback at number two, whether
that is Daniels, whether it's Mayor I can't envision a world where McCarthy
goes all the way up there. But at three, I mean, we
really do have questions not to,like, you know, patriotize this thing,

(20:22):
even this being a Boston area show. You know, the Patriots are
really kind of the ones that arecontrolling the draft in some ways because,
like you said, maybe they havethis crush on Drake May, which is
what most people around here seem tobelieve in a lot of national people.
But JJ McCarthy, there are thosewins that are blowing, as we touched
on before, or Elliott Wolfe hasbeen and some of this is posturing,

(20:47):
I realize, but he is nothidden from the fact that this team could
trade down. And if we wereto believe that there just isn't a guy
that they love, maybe they justdon't love any of those top three and
McCarthy is someone that they do reallylike and they feel like they could get
them lower. Therefore, let stockpilesome assets. How wonky could this thing
get at number three? Yeah,So it's interesting. I think he gets

(21:11):
wonky the path to wonky myths.I think happens that the Commanders shock the
world and take McCarthy there at numbertwo, because then you're creating real interest
in the marketplace. And now thePatriots actually do have options at number three,
and I think it's going to beone of those things where the only

(21:32):
way they trade down is if they'reable to trade down and still get the
quarterback they want. So I thinkif they're at number three and Jane Daniels
is still available, they have anice you know, drid Mayo is a
nice connection with them. Supposely JaneDaniels really like the idea of playing in
New England, they might just takeJane Daniels. Or again, I think
there is a market both from theNew York Giants and the Vikings to trade

(21:55):
up for Drake May. Now,so the Patriots doing, you know,
maybe getting a little cute here andtaking the trade up for someone else to
get Drake May and then them tradingdown and still ye named Jadean Daniels.
That could be certainly a possibility. And I think it starts with jaj McCarthy
going number two. That's, tome, is like the first whoa kind

(22:15):
of crazy wild card that upsets therest of the market here, So sean
to round out the quarterbacks here. What's your read on Michael Pennox and bow
Nixt tomorrow night. Are they comingoff the board or no. I'll tell
you I've bet both of them togo in the first round. I got
Penox last week at even money. That's moved to minus three thirty in some
spots, so I'm really liking that. And then Bo's been a bit of

(22:36):
an interesting one here as draft season'sgone along. It seems like he was
a sure lock to be taken byDenver early on in the draft process.
Now then he swung to like plusone eighty last night to go in the
first round, which is when Itook the ticket. It's now sitting at
plus one twenty on DraftKings, Soit's still like kind of fifty to fifty
there for bow Nicks. But whatdo you think happens with those two quarterbacks?

(22:57):
Yeah, I would say Pennix,I do like his chances going,
and you know, obviously the oddsreflect that I do have Pennix going in
the first round. My final knockI did not have Bo Nicks going in
the first round, but obviously Idon't hate it there plus one eighty.
The problem is, you know,I don't know of any other team that's
really shown a ton of interest inbo Nicks outside of the Denver Broncos.

(23:21):
I think the Giants have shown someinterest in bo Nicks, but again,
I think that would probably be inthe second round. And I think the
Broncos probably know the market well enoughto realize, hey, we can probably
still get bo Nicks in the secondround, so maybe and they I don't
think they have a second round pickoff the top of my head, so
I think they would maybe trade downout of the first round, get some
second round picks, and get nextlater. It seems like I mean,

(23:45):
again, I haven't heard really aton of interest in bo Nicks outside of
the Broncos, so I think theBroncos also know that, so it might
be tough to get him in there. You never know. I could see
him squeeze it in towards the endof the the first round. I would
be surprised if the Broncos take himat twelve. There have you invested at

(24:07):
all in any of these just tostay near the top of the draft.
Any of these specials that you canget at the various books of identifying the
exact order of the top three orthe top five, that type of thing.
Any different ways that you could longerodds, you know, throw your
money around, sprinkle you know, some some pizza money. Yeah. So
the way I like to attack thelong shot stuff in this market hasn't been

(24:32):
necessarily those exact stuff. I mean, I think if you're looking for a
interesting sprinkle, like I said,McCarthy, number two is something at like
ten to one, eleven to one, I could actually see happening because of
the uncertainty with the Washington ownership. But I mean from pick four to pick
nine, I have a ton oflong shots from like fifty to seventy five,

(24:56):
you know, centered on some ofthe guys like you know, j
See Latham to go number five.We gave it out on the podcast last
night at twenty eight to one. It's Downtown to plus two seventy five,
which has insane. I think Fuagais another guy, Like if you take
Fuaga at four, Fuaga at five, Fuaga at six, just small sprinkles,

(25:17):
you know, these are like fiftysixty, one hundred to one.
I think that's pretty interesting. Theone other long shot I like is basically,
as the Cardinals, they try andplay trade chicken, they can't get
out of it. They end upgoing offensive line. Everyone thinks Joe Alt
is a consensus offensive lineman. Idon't know if that's certainly true. I

(25:38):
know the Cardinals did bring in JCLatham for an interview, and if they
stay there and drafted offensive lineman, which makes a ton of sense. I
mean, your goal with the seasonhas to be keeping Kyler Murray upright and
saw what the team looks like whenhe's not healthy. JC Latham is a
hunterd to one. You know,Jonathan Gannon came over from Philly. Philly
success has been built on having areally good offensive line, So them staying

(26:02):
put at number four if they haveto, and just going with the best
offensive linemen on their board, whichcould be Latham. A lot of people
are saying Latham is higher up onpeople's boards than Joe Alt depending on the
team. I think that's whereth afun sprinkle there at a hundred to one,
so I think four to nine, especially if you factor in the trades,
that's where you can have some funlong shot stuff. The other long

(26:25):
shot market, I'm attacking is justthe Los Angeles Chargers. I think Jim
Harbaugh. You know, for solong they were odds on favor to take
a receiver first. I didn't seethat happening. I think anything related to
the run game is interesting. Youcan get plus money on all of it.
It's them the drafted offensive lineman.Maybe even trade out and draft a

(26:45):
running back first. That's one hundredto one. I think anything that leads
to smash mouth football, I thinkHarball is in on because look what they
did. They brought over Greg Roman, a guy who loves running the ball.
I mean, look at what youknow I heard, I'm moving the
sticks. A great example of likewhen Harvard, when hardball came to Stanford,

(27:07):
you know, he was competing withthese high flying pass offense. What
do you do He countered by buildinga smash mouth, run the ball,
you know, play action style team. And I think that's his plan for
Los Angeles. So them going offensivelineman at five. Like I said jac
Latham, the movement from twenty eightto one to plus two seventy five shows
you the market is finally catching upto the fact that, hey, if

(27:30):
the Chargers stick at five, maybethe offensive line, or maybe there's a
slight trade down and they still gooffensive line. So that's why I think
there's some fun, long shot stuffin the offensive lineman going in the top
ten and just kind of fading someof the idea, and you know,
just four through ten in general,I think is interesting because you look at

(27:51):
the number five pick and it's allstuff based on the Chargers staying there.
But if there are just slight tradeups, well, okay, let's say
the Chargers moved to and they stilldraft JC Latham. Well, Jase Latham
at number six is sixty to one, so you know, maybe Drake maydrops
a little bit and the Giants endup pick swapping with the Chargers. You
get JC Latham at sixty to one, which I have a small slice of

(28:14):
a piece of that on. Ithink that's a lot of fun. So
the linemen going ahead of or goingearlier than people think, Joe Alt not
being the consensus first lineman off theboard, I think there's a lot of
value there. Sean Green's here withus from the Sports Gambling Podcast Network.
We'll talk a little bit more withthe NFL Draft, and we come back
doc NFL Draft here with Sean GreenSports Gambling podcast Network and Sean as we

(28:41):
know, I mean, like you, I'm sure have been handicapping the draft
for months at this point in timeand placing wagers going back, you know
to when lines were much more favorablethan where they are now on the eve
of the draft and sitting less thantwenty four hours away as we sit here
right now from the start of roundone, so as lines do exist currently

(29:03):
for our listeners that want to goout and still attempt to make some money
on this, what is the efficientway to do it? Are there any
bets out there that you still like? Oh yeah, yeah, I mean
again, it kind of depends whatyour appetite is for, you know,
for how spice do you want toget? I think there's certainly some value
here and some of the positional stuff, you know, like you look at

(29:27):
Byron Murphy first defensive lineman selected.I think that one's been getting a ton
of heat recently, but for goodreason. Currently I'm seeing yeah, plus
one fifty five. I mean thatwas you know, that was close,
you know, even like a fewdays ago it was still five to one.
I still think it's a good pricehere, plus one fifty five by

(29:48):
all accounts. He's pretty much wellahead against Dallas Turner. Like Dallas Turner
was someone that just kind of thecontensus mocks had, but everyone you talk
to or you know, kind ofthe consensus of people in the know quote
unquote as Byron Murphy first defensive linemenselected. I still like a lot of
plus one fifty five. So Ithink that one is a great one to

(30:10):
hop on right now. So seanone that I have jumped on here and
I'm curious to get your your thoughtson this is the Chiefs to take a
wide receiver with their first pick.I grabbed this last nine to minus one
oh five to actually fall in anddrop the plus one ten tonight thinking about
doubling down on this, I feellike they got to surround Patrick Mahomes with
as many weapons as possible. Theyneed another receiver with the whole thing going

(30:30):
on with Rashid Rice this offseason. What do you make of what the Chiefs
are going to do at the endof the first round. Yeah, I
mean, certainly them drafted a widereceiver. I see the case. It's
a very strong receiver class Andy Reid, very pass heavy type of guy.
I think I think quarterback is alsointeresting for the charge of the Chiefs considering

(30:53):
the price there at plus five fifty. So I don't mind wide receiver,
you're still getting plus odds on that. But I would also take a small
sprinkle on cornerback at plus five fifty. You know, they lost the Jerius
Snead. Getting a cornerback here wouldbe a pretty good move for them,
And I think if you look atsome of the guys they brought in,
they brought in a decent number ofcornerbacks. I think that price is pretty

(31:17):
generous at plus five fifty, Sodon't mind receiver, but I think cornerback
has a good value as well atplus five fifty. How many quarterbacks do
you think we'll see going round one? Yeah, I get it at five
on my last draft. I mean, I know, you know, the
line's been jumping all around. I'ma little skeptical we see six, right,

(31:37):
I mean, I guess it dependson whether you think Vo Nicks is
a first round or not. Andagain, like that's something to keep an
eye on when you're actually betting theseright, because you could bet like total
number of quarterbacks in the first round, or just bet bo Nicks is going
to be in the first round. It's essentially the same bet. But even
on a sportsbook they'll offer like differentprices for stuff that it's pretty much the

(32:00):
same bet. So I would sayfive right now. I'm a little skeptical
we get that six quarterback up there. So you touched on the Chargers last
segment. We just touched on theChiefs. Any other team specific props that
you really like, Yeah, Imean, let's see. Well, I'll
talk about my Eagles in the NFCEast. There's a lot of there's a
lot of buzz on them trading upHowie Roseman, you know, a lot

(32:22):
of steam towards the cornerback. Ithink the price for cornerback is kind of
out the window, not a tonof value. But I would say considering
their history, well, first off, the Eagles haven't drafted a cornerback in
the first round since two thousand andtwo, so it would be a historic
outlier if they take cornerback. Iwouldn't be shocked if they do. I

(32:43):
don't like it at minus one fortyfive offensive linemans plus one oh five.
The Eagles love building through the trenches. I think defensive line is still kind
of a need for this team. You know they've got rid of hassigonra and
make sure they brought in Bryce up. But you look at some of their
visits, they looked at a numberof defense the lineman, and the Eagles
are one of those teams where theirfirst round pick almost always comes from someone

(33:06):
they brought in for a visit. You can get d line edge at plus
three point thirty. I think thatis a fun wild card as well.
And then I'll kick it over tothe Dallas Cowboys. This one is one
my buddy Kramer was on and Iagree Dallas Cowboys position a first drafted player
in the NFL draft. If youwant to go long shot, you can

(33:28):
find some places that have running backAt seventy five to one, I don't
know if they do it in thefirst round, but again, they need
cheap skill players, so and JerryJones has been talking to you know how
much they want a running back,et cetera. They really love that kid
out of Texas. So maybe theytrade out a little bit and take him
early mid second round. That wouldnot be shocking, and certainly the price

(33:51):
is pretty fun there at seventy fiveto one. Does the draft have a
stay away spot? For you aultall draft betting. You know, is
there just you know, for peopleto new to this, is there that
one area that it's just a troublespot you're just throwing your money away.
Yeah, I mean again, likeI I we try and stress this on

(34:12):
the you know, on the podcastof like especially with the NFL Draft,
look towards the plus money stuff becausethe stuff that is massive favorites really aren't
ever as as big of favorites asthey should be, right Like, yeah,
sure, Caleb William's fine, butI mean, like the number two
pick, if you're just kind ofplaying along the entire time, you could

(34:32):
have got Drake May and Jane Danielsboth at pretty decent prices, and even
JJ McCarthy like essentially arbitraging and andget it in a sweet profit. So
I would stay away, honestly fromany of the heavy favorites. And I
would also I've never had luck withthese exact ones, you know, where
it's like one two three four fiveone two three four Those ones are always

(34:58):
tough because ultimately, obviously it's likewith a parlay, you just need one
leg to break you out, andyou're better off probably just betting that one
outlier that you like in that inthat in the exact and again it's one
of those things like if they're cookingthese up, usually they just find a

(35:19):
way not to come home. SoI do stay away from the like one,
two, three, four market andstuff like that. I'd rather just
take you know, that the oneguy at that specific draft spot or whatever.
There's plenty of other plus odd stuffyou can get on, so I
would stay away from those two.Sean Green from the Sports Gambling Podcast Network,
you can get him on Twitter atSean T. Green That is se

(35:43):
a n since I know there areoptions there. Sean T. Green,
Shawn always appreciate when you hop onwith us. Man, best of luck
with your wagers over these coming days, and we look forward talking again soon.
All right, thanks lote, guys, appreciate it, all right.
Absolutely check out the Sports Gambling PodcastNetwork. Shown involved with a lot of

(36:06):
as well on Friday nights. Whenwe come back. As we look at
another goal this time from the EdmontonOilers Kings up to one in the first
period. That's getting us toward theover six hopefully, hopefully we don't have.
We've seen hot starts before. Keepit going, keep the goals going.
When we come back, bank rowrepairs for tomorrow. It's time for
your bankroll repair, Howard. Bytoday's collision, and even during our short

(36:32):
commercial break, the Kings have takena three to one lead in this game,
So that's four first period goals,Dan Watkins. We need a couple
more to at least get ourselves thepush, but obviously three more over the
course of this game to hit Brian'sbet and get ourselves a marginally bad day

(36:52):
as opposed to a very bad day. But bank row repair time. We
haven't given these out in a littlewhile because of our little vacation break,
but we're back ready to do it. Dan's got his cooked up. I've
got Mine's a little bit different thanwhat I've done here recently. You go
forward first, Dan, all Right, So I believe this is gonna be
FanDuel exclusive because it's the only bookwith these alt lines out right now,

(37:15):
and we're gonna do three of themstarting in the NHL. We're gonna go
koutra off from the Lightning to havea point tomorrow night. He's got points
in both games so far against thePanthers, and he had one hundred and
forty four of them this season. So hopefully let's get that one, and
then we will go Lebron James tohave at least six rebounds against the Nuggets
tomorrow night, and Austin Reeves toscore at least ten points against the Nuggets

(37:37):
tomorrow night. And you put thosethree legs together plus one oh five on
FanDuel nice. So I am alsoFanDuel exclusive with this one. And actually
it's it's going to be a samegame, parlay. I just I'm this
is this is narrative street. Thisis me telling myself a story of how
this game is going to go.Although within reason, I mean, the
stats of recent performances certainly back itup. I just think the trend are

(38:00):
going to continue in this one.So it is the Knicks and Sixers game.
I am giving you a four legbank or repair that really doesn't need
the fourth leg. We could gothree and be just about even money.
I'm giving you a fourth, though, to get us to plus one twenty
three. And here's how I thinkthis game is going to play out.
I do think the Knicks are goingto win again. But I don't think

(38:22):
it's going to be easy, andI will not be the least bit surprised
if the Sixers win this game. And there's going to be desperation on the
part of Philadelphia being down two inthis series, especially after that collapse last
time out. So here are thelegs. Jalen Brunson to lead the Knicks
twenty plus points, and then theother side, it's all Philly with the
other three Joel Embiid thirty plus points, Tyrese Maxi twenty plus points, and

(38:46):
Embiid eight plus rebounds. So againthat is Brunson twenty plus points, same
as Tyrese Maxey, Embiid thirty pluspoints and eight plus rebounds plus one twenty
three on FanDuel. Well, thoseare your bankroll repairs. That was your
bankroll repair powered by Today's Collision withlocations involved in Chelsea, Stoneham and Danvery's

(39:09):
check them out at Today's Collision dotcom. The Gambler starts now, here's
Adam Kaufman. It is our numbertwo up the Gambler with Adam Kauffman here
on WRKO. We normally come yourway Monday through Thursday nights. These last
couple weeks they have been just alittle weird, little wonky, but don't

(39:29):
worry. Come Monday next week,be completely back to normal. We've just
got the one show this week, just like last week. But it's a
good show to have because there's alot to talk about as it relates to
Celtics and Bruins playoffs. Plenty ofthat coming up later in the hour,
but obviously the NFL Draft, whichwe are less than twenty four hours away

(39:50):
from the start of Round one andfrom knowing seemingly barring something massive, and
it would be a massive trade downof knowing what the Patriots have done if
they landed their quarterback of the future, did they opt to do something totally
different, you know, go witha wide receiver and take a QB later.
I don't know. I don't knowwhat's gonna happen. I'm talking myself

(40:12):
into circles at this point in time, and I'll tell you what I am
consistent in one thing, if nothingelse, I don't care. I don't
care. Just get it right.Let's talk to someone who may know at
least knows more than we know. That is Mark Daniels, good friend of
the program from Mass Live covers theteam has for quite a while. Get
him on Twitter at buy Mark Daniels, Mark, how are you hey?

(40:37):
I'm good at him? How areyou a little dizzy from all the reports,
all the speculation, all the rumors, the rumblings that are out there.
Everybody it feels like, is youknow, saying something just a little
bit different, whether on a localor national level. You've got the shifters
of the world leaving open the possibilityof the Patriots not anybody at number three

(41:00):
and trading down and getting JJ McCarthy, a fellow Michigan guy like himself,
at a more favorable number and collectingassets along the way. While you have
others saying the Pats are madly inlove with Drake May and are fearful of
him going at number two, andthey're hoping they can snatch him right up
at number three. What is yourreporting telling you, Well, the Patriots

(41:24):
are walked into a quarterback. They'redrafting a quarterback. You know, I
believe it'll be at number three. But that's been the plan, honestly since
the end of February. The Patriotshave. The Patriots came in with as
I I would say, as weand math Live reported at the combine they
had a three step plan and itwas sign a bridge backup, and they
did that with Jacoby Brissett. Itwas trade mac Jones and they did that

(41:46):
with you know, they traded himto Jacksonville. And then, as we
reported at the Combine, their nextstep was drafting a quarterback. And that's
what's gonna happen to wrong. They'regoing to draft a quarterback. I believe
it'll be at three. I thinkit'll be Drake May. I've heard that
they're people in the organization who reallyliked Drake May. I think he fits
in with the way want a big, athletic pocket passer, rockets and arms.

(42:07):
He's raw. But they they puttogether, you know, a staff
that could you know, allow arookie quarterback to sit. And I was
told by a source that they werepreparing to draft a quarterback and have them
sit if need be. And Ithink that's what's going to happen tomorrow.
I mean, could they trade downand still draft a quarterback. Sure,
it's always a possibility. But wewere told two days ago, oh no,

(42:30):
what's today, Today's Wednesday night. We were told yesterday that the offers
that came in were quote lappable, and the Patriots was still quote waiting for
a serious offer. And that hasn'thappened yet. And I even had another
source told me that the Patriots didn'tThey weren't even sure that I say that
right now, there is doubt thatanother team will be willing to offer them
what it will take. The moveout of three and Adam. The reason

(42:52):
is they need a quarterbacks and theylike the guys available. They like Drake
May, they like Jaden Daniels andand the JJ McCarthy stuff is interesting.
But I know there's some people aroundthe NFL who really like them. But
all signs man Patriots A three, probably Drake May. If you're a Patriots
fan, Mark, is that whatyou should be rooting for Tomorrow night?
Drake May falls to three and thePats just screw him up and run to

(43:14):
the podium. Yeah yeah, Imean you need a franchise quarterback to win.
I mean, the AF the Eastright now, it's just it's loaded
Josh Allen to Aaron Rodgers looking likethe conference too, I mean Joe Burrow
and c. J. Stroud,Patrick Mahomes, Trevor Lawrence. There's so
many good quarterbacks in the NFL,but really in the ANFC. So the

(43:34):
Patriots are playing the long game, and their long game is drafting and developing
people, and it starts with theQB at the top. They're going to
take someone and they're going to tryto do it right this time, unlike
what happened with Mac Jones. Soyou know what I think will happen is
it'll be Drake May. And Iwouldn't be surprised if he sits for an
entire season, you know, sortof the Green Bay packed away. But
I think what Dan is driving atMark is is Drake May that guy in

(43:59):
your estimation, because I mean,Jayden Daniels is going to be viewed by
somebody as a franchise quarterback. JJMcCarthy is as well, and obviously Drake
May. But is that the onethat Patriots fans should want among this group?
Yeah, it's interesting. I knowthe Patriots like both Jayden Daniels and
Drake May, and they think bothof them have the potential to be a
franchise quarterback. And I'll be honest, I'm a Drake May guy. I've

(44:21):
liked him a lot. This isa guy who all last fall, people
were saying was the consensus number twopick behind Caleb Williams, and you know
you factor in you got a newOC is a line at UNC wasn't great.
Davontees Walker didn't play for the firstfive games. His weapons were worse.
He was you know, was hurt, had an ankle sprain, so
things things didn't go. I wouldsay great for North Carolina last year,

(44:43):
and it hurt Drake may I hurthis numbers, but that that'll lead to
him dropping the three when most peopleover the last year thought he'd be at
number two. So for me,I think it is I think he's worth
it. I think he has ahigher stealing than Jayden Daniels. And you
know, if you hit and youdevelop them, right, I mean you're
set for the next ten years. So Mark, you just said the W
word weapons. Are the Patriots goingto come away with some this weekend?

(45:07):
How do you think they do?It? Is a trade for an established
veteran like an AJ Brown, AT. Higgins or Brandon Ayuk. Is
that in the cards or what doyou think they do when it comes to
the receiver position. Yeah, there'replans to draft one for sure, but
you can't rule out of trade. The Patriots have had discussions with other teams
and they've checked in, you know, I'm sure they've checked in with Brandon
Ayuk and T Higgins and AJ Brown. If those guys are available, the

(45:30):
Patriots will absolutely try to trade forhim. You know. Whether or not
they'll get it done remains to beseen. But I do know they want
to come away with the wide receiver, most likely in the first three rounds.
So it'll be interesting to me tosee what they do in the second
round, because they need a lefttackle, and they need an outside receiver,
specifically, they need an X theyneed a deep guy. So the

(45:52):
Patriots' second third round, if itall works out perfectly, they come away
with a left tackle and a startingreceiver. Easier said than done, though,
Mark, there's been some chatter.Again it's it's all rumors, so
believe what you want to believe, but there's been chatter about ownership's role in
all of this, and Jonathan Craftin particular, and I know obviously they

(46:16):
are on the record the team multipletimes saying that this is Elliott Wolf,
this is Girodmeo, this is thisWe're not meddling you know, these are
the guys that we have employed tomake these decisions. But then you get
the reports like from Diana Rossini recentlysaying that Jonathan Craft is heavily involved in
this process. I don't doubt thateverybody on the collective is in agreement that

(46:38):
they want a quarterback. And so, as you've talked about and already outlined,
I'm with that, but you know, in terms of which one it
is, you know, how muchdo do they meddle in that or or
anything else, you know, inany sort of the potential of trade or

(47:00):
in making this move or in youknow, satisfying needs above football operations.
Yeah, so me and Karen Grigiantalked to people over the last forty eight
hours about that report. We weretold by four different sources on i would
say three different levels of the Patriotsorganization that it's not true and it and
the report was surprising to a lotof people inside the building. And the

(47:23):
way it was described to me isthat ownership Robert Craft and Johnathancraft want to
be informed and they want to knowwhat the Patriots want to do before they
do it, and they want toknow whether it's trade or keep to pick
A three. They just want toknow before everyone else does. And you
know, Robert Craft has put ElliottWolf in charge of the front office.

(47:45):
I've been told Rod Meyo also hasto say in personnel it is a truly
collaborative approach. There's a lot ofguys in the front office who have to
say they're listening to assistant coaches andscouts. But I haven't talked to anyone
who will back up Jonathan Craft hasany kind of say in the number three
pick or in personnel. I've beentold that Jonathan Craft's aspirations is to be

(48:07):
an owner, is to be theowner of the Patriots and not not be
a GM. So yeah, Ihaven't been able to cooperate that at all.
I've just had, you know, honestly, between me and Karen,
four different denials from people over thelast couple of days. So you know,
from everything I've been told, guys, it's a deliant Wolf making the
pick. But there are people inhis ear. But those people, you
know, work in the coaching staff, front office and scut A department.

(48:30):
So Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Networktweets out this morning that everyone wants to
move up for an offensive tackle thathe's taught for the people that he's talked
to today, Mark, you saythe Patriots should be doing that, And
I'm just looking at Jeremiah's latest mockdraft that he put out ton ideas six
offensive tackles going in the first round, nine offensive linemen. Do Do you
think the Patriots could move back upinto the first round towards the end of

(48:53):
it tomorrow night? Yeah, Imean, I honestly think they should.
And don't get me wrong, theyneed a weapon, they another number one
receiver, but it's really hard tofind quality starting left tackles. And if
they could go from what is it, thirty four, so the second pick
on the second round, and theycan move up a little bit into the
back end of the first and theycan find a left tackle, you know,

(49:14):
a first round guy with a fiftyyear option. I really think they
should do that. I mean, you have a rookie quarterback, get the
left tackle for the future as well, and I think there are other avenues
you can take to find a receiver. Trade market, cre agency, and
they try it with Calvin Ridley. But if yeah, I'm all aboard that
train about trading out because what draftanalysts have said is that there are good

(49:37):
tackles in this draft, but they'llbe gone somewhere in the second round.
And then maybe that plays into thePatriot's hand because they're at the top of
the second round. But these draftanalysts have also said you could probably land
a starting receiver somewhere in the thirdor fourth round. So if it's me,
I'm targeting tackle in the early secondround, then I would definitely explore

(49:58):
trading up for that. Over theyears, the complaint, and I don't
need to tell you this, youknow, the reason the organization is where
it is right now is because largelyover the last decade or so, maybe
Longer hasn't drafted well. And youknow now Bill Belichick is no longer you
know, the obviously the the ultimatesay, the finals say, maybe even

(50:21):
every say along the way, ifthere were enough yes men in his purview,
not countering or challenging him as someof the older coaches along the way,
or even the Nick Cassarios of theworld. As people departed, it
was just all Bill, and thatwas just an area of weakness for him.
Well, now it is the ElliottWolf Show. How we won't know?

(50:42):
You know, for a number ofyears. Quite frankly, how the
draft plays out, everyone will havetheir initial reactions, but we won't know
until we see these guys on thefields. That way with every draft,
But going into it, how shouldwe feel about the Elliott Wolf pedigree and
how he identifies talent? What kindof job you think he's going to do
in this draft? Yeah, Imean it's a great question. It's the

(51:06):
biggest question surrounding the Patriots right now, like how do they do without Bill
Belichick? And the stories I've heardthough, honestly, is that people in
the scouting department, scouts and peoplecoaches who are scouting people were frustrated.
They didn't feel like they were beingheard. They felt like they were,
you know, overruled constantly. ButBill Belichick earned that right. He was
the jam, he was the chiefdecision maker and he made all the decisions.

(51:29):
He overruled people, but that's thejob he had and he won six
titles. So at the end ofthe day, it said, the last
four years it didn't work out toowell. And there are I would say,
there are people in side you letstadium who believe that the way they're
doing it now will lead to betterresults. You know, they changed their
scouting system completely to something that's supposedto be a little bit more simpler.

(51:50):
You know, it's more about gradingthe best players, you know, regardless
of the fit in your system.Whereas with Bill Belichick it was drafting players
to fit us pecific need in aspecific system. Now it's nope, here
are the best players regardless, andwe're going to try to draft, you
know, the best players, andwe're going to listen to scouts, and
we're going to listen to what thecoaches say, and the people there that

(52:10):
I've talked to believe it will leadto better results. But you know,
you know, Adam, we'll seeman. As you said, well in
a couple of years, Dan,you want to wedgend one more quickly,
Yeah, sure, Mark, Anythingelse this offseason that the Patriots still have
yet to do that you think wemight see in the coming weeks when it
comes to the roster, I think, you know, honestly, right now,

(52:30):
it's it's quarterback, left tackle, and receiver, and what I've been
told, that's the priority. ButI'd like to see more depth at outside
cornerback. Jonathan Jones was hurt reallymost of all last season. Honestly,
Christian Gonzalez obviously played what four games, So I think they could use more
depth at cornerback. Maybe they coulddip into the draft with that. But

(52:51):
also I'd like to see a kicker. I think Chad rilland he needs some
competition. Guys, he was lastin the NFL and field goal that is
not good. So yeah, bringin, bring in another kicker, bring
in some cornerback help. But hey, man, they have to nail you
know, quarterback, tackle, andreceiver. You must be so relieved just
to know that in less than twentyfour hours these questions are going to be

(53:13):
answered. No more reporting, wondering. It'll just be a guy to interview
and talk to and get to knowa little bit. Mark Daniels from Mass
Live. Get him on Twitter atbuy Mark Daniels. Mark, thanks so
much, man, Thanks to Samanytimes. All Right, well, it's
gonna be interesting. We're gonna havea lot to talk about after it happens.
But for now, Celtics and Bruinsplayoffs, NBA and Stanley Cup playoffs.

(53:35):
Let's talk about those. Joe DeleraAction Network's gonna join us on the
NBA next. All right, let'sget back to the NBA after my early
vent session on the Celtics inexplicably andfrustratingly dropping Game two as fourteen and a
half point favorites to a Miami Heatteam missing Jimmy Butler. So that series

(53:59):
going back to my taking the talent, the collective talents to South Beach one
one set, best of five.We have another game going on right now
in the NBA, and that isnot all that competitive with the Thunder whooping
the Pelicans late in the third. We have multiple games on the docket though
for tomorrow, Caves, Magic,Knicks, Sixers, Nuggets, Lakers,

(54:21):
and all two OH series leads goingin for Cleveland, New York and Denver.
Will we get anything a little bitmore interesting tomorrow? Joe Delearra joins
us from the Action Network. Youcan get him on Twitter at Joe de
Lara. Joe, you're not justsitting like keys in hand with a hospital
go bag and the other just likewaiting for emergency right now? Are you?

(54:45):
No? Not right now? Butwe got it all loaded up into
the car, so either way we'reready to go. But I was like,
I gotta hop on and have thissegment with you before it happened.
See Dan Joe's just hanging out withus waiting for his wife to go into
labor. Oh wow, congratulations, this is priority stuff, right, so

(55:05):
you know we got we need oneshow of the month, so he might
as well. That's right. Weneed to come up exactly the names.
Do you do you know the gender? By the way, you don't have
to spoil anything, you don't wantto spoil. But do you know the
gender? Yeah, we know we'rehaving a boy so named after Josh Hart
I assume. Oh of course,I mean basketball player on the planet naturally.

(55:25):
All right, the interest of time, let's get to this stuff.
I don't know how much you watchthat Celtics heat game tonight amidst everything else
going on in your life. Butmy my, my question basically is what
the hell, dude? I mean, Like I was able to keep some
tabs on it. I was watching, Uh, I was watching some stuff,
having some dinner. But like thething about that that series, in
that game, it's something we've talkedabout with Boston repeatedly, right, Like

(55:50):
they just allow a lot of threesand they take a lot of threes.
Like the variance is problematic. AndSpolstra when he knows he's an under the
underdog. He just cranks up thevariance meter as far up as he can
go and then it leaves. Itgives them some opportunity there. So I
don't think it's anything to really worryabout long term for Boston in this series,
right, But I do think it'syou know, it's one of those

(56:12):
flaws that Boston has just stylistically, because they take a lot of three as
good as they are, as crispas the offense is, if something's not
really flowing too well and another teamgets hot, it can you know,
things can kind of spiral and makeit a little bit more difficult for them.
So Joe shifting gears to Tomorrow nightand the in the games we got
ahead of us. I'm hoping youcan help me out with a little issue
I've been having. I have aCole Anthony problem. I've taken the over

(56:37):
on his points each of the firsttwo games of this series six and a
half and I think, yeah,I think it was six and a half.
Both games he has gone zero foreleven from the floor and I'm looking
at tomorrow night, I see thefive and a half points. It's staring
me in the face. Man.I have not submitted anything yet, But
what do you do in this kindof situation. You got a guy that

(56:58):
you know can he can just lightit up at any point, but he's
running nice cold right now. Itmakes it really really tough, especially with
that team, because you think thatthey would need him right like they need
offense desperately. Maybe it's gonna bea little bit better for you and for
him at home. Orlando has beena lot better at home throughout the course
of the whole season, So Ido think that maybe that's kind of the

(57:20):
angle, But it is hard toquit when you do feel like you have
like the right angle and the rightguy. I think ultimately, though,
the way I've been trying to tacklethat series, and something I've talked to
Brandon Anderson about is just betting basically, Palo and France turnover props because they
just are the only guys that canreally have the ball in their hands and
create for themselves and for other people. So those are a couple of the

(57:42):
angles that I was looking at forthe Magic and the Cavs. Closer to
home for you, and I knowyou are nixt guy. This team is
up to all in the series. This is a series that I expected New
York to win, or I continueto expect New York to win. The
Sixers at home are four and ahalf point favorites. I think you're going
to see the likes of Embiid andMAXI go all out in this one.
Is is this where Philadelphia cuts thedeficit in half? Or do you like

(58:07):
New York to continue its momentum.I mean, look, even if Philly
is able to get this game,I think if they were going to get
a spot, this would probably bethe one game where they where they kind
of could throughout the postseason kind ofHistorically teams down two in Game three in
first half since two thousand and six, they're sixty seven percent against the spread.

(58:29):
So I think that that's kind ofthe way I would want to tackle
Philly. Is you know, maybehedge a little bit on my happiness by
taking Philly in the first half againstthe Knicks. You know, even if
they are able to you know, cut it to two to one, I
think it's still is a very verytough scenario. It's a tough ass because
Embiid, the longer the series goes, the more minutes he has to play,

(58:50):
and those are tough minutes against theKnicks. You know, you have
to wonder like how that needs goingto hold up, and you know whether
or not it's going to really impacthis play over the course of the series.
And well, let's wrap it uphere with the last game to the
Lake game tomorrow night, Nuggets Lakers, this thing? Is this just a
formality at this point, Joe,I don't know, it's tough. I'm

(59:10):
a big Lebron guy, right soI love Lebron and he still looks incredible.
I think the biggest thing for theLakers has just been Anthony Davis just
disappears in the second half. It'slike, I think his last bucket yesterday
or you know, in the lastgame was at the seven minute mark in
the third quarter. Like, youcan't win when that's the scenario. And

(59:31):
it's tough because Denver really had apretty bad game overall and they still managed
to win. I think the Lakershave enough that they could pull out a
game, you know, maybe eventwo, But I do think this is
a very tough scenario for them.Denver just really seems to have their number,
and I haven't seen a lot forwhy we should think that the Lakers
can go win four games after losingten straight to the Denver Nuggets. I'm

(59:53):
with you, man, I'm havinga real problem with this game. But
let's get to the people's partlay. You've done this with us before. But
the way this works for anyone thatdoes not know, Joe will give us
his favorite play for tomorrow. Danwill do the same, so will I.
We always tell you play the straights, but also put them together and
let's hope for a real nice paydayfor the parlay as well. It's been

(01:00:14):
a little bit since we've hit apeople's parlay, in part because we haven't
had too many shows lately. Butwe're due. We're due to hit one
of these. So Joe, startus off. What do you have?
All right? So? I likeJared Allen to go over twelve and a
half rebounds against this Orlando Magic team. Like we've talked about, Orlando just
is really really struggling offensively. Theseare really defensive games between the two of

(01:00:36):
these teams, and he's been incredibleon the glass. He's had eighteen and
twenty rebounds in the two games sofar this series, on an average of
thirty point five rebounding chances. There'sjust way too much volume for a guy
that's so incredibly good at cleaning theglass. So give me the twelve and
a half. He doesn't even needto convert fifty percent of his rebounding chances

(01:00:57):
that he's had over the course ofthe series to get there. Dan,
all right, I'm taking us tothe NHL guys. I like this spot
a lot. Here. We're gonnatake the Tampa Bay Lightning to win tomorrow
night. So Tampa on the moneyline, they're down two to zero heading
back home. Both those games downin Sunrise where one goal games. Game
two was an overtime loss for them. I think they can jump on Florida
tomorrow night and get the win onhome ice. So minus one fifteen ESPN

(01:01:22):
DKMGM is the best I'm seeing.Tell you what I wanted. I really
wanted to go Denver in this game. There are even some plus ones out
there. You don't even have todo the minus one. I like the
Nuggets a lot in this one. It's just the fact that it's in LA
scares me off a little bit.Nuggets are not a great road team,

(01:01:43):
and so if you want to playDenver just as a straight I will be
playing it Denver to win. Ilike that play a lot, But what
I'm going to do for the parlayis maybe I'm I'm pulled a little bit
because Joe's here, but I'm goingto that Nick Sixers game and I'm going
I'm go with the total. I'mgoing over two oh one and a half,
which you can get at multiple books. I see it on DraftKings,

(01:02:06):
MGM, Caesars, ESPN. It'stwo two and a half at FanDuel,
so you want one of the otherspots, but over two oh one and
a half. We've seen that linecleared in each of the first two games
of this series. It was alittle sweatier in the most recent I just
think this is going to be avery competitive game. I think again,
Philadelphia is going to go all outin this one out of desperation, and

(01:02:29):
you know we've seen New York's abilityto claw back to fight to keep close.
I think these teams are going tobe trading buckets toward the end there.
Free throws are going to be afactor. I think we're going to
get to the total. I don'tknow how Joe feels about that one.
We can real quick get your opinion. But looking at plus six fourteen on
ESPN. Thank you, Dan.Seems to be the best spot that we

(01:02:52):
are seeing this parlay. So it'sa good meaty parlay. But Joe,
how do you feel about the totalin this game? I definitely think you
could one have seen it total goover. I mean, the Anthony Meltains
expected to come back, which wouldnormally help Philly's defense, But at the
same time, I don't really feelsuper confidently in Embiid's defense right now,
you know, given with the kneeand everything like that. So I don't

(01:03:14):
mind the over, and I thinkthat, I mean, the total just
seems low, like it's twenty twentyfour and we're getting total right two one.
It does seem a little bit low, right yeah, even lower in
that Cleveland Orlando game that's not evenat two hundred points, so you know,
go figure. Yeah, it's aplayoff series apparently, So again,
plus six fourteen on ESPN, sixthirteen on DraftKings and MGM if you don't

(01:03:35):
have ESPN, those are options essentiallythe same number. So again, that
is the over for Jared Allen's rebounds, twelve and a half Tampa Bay Lightning
on the money line, and theover in the Knicks and Sixers game,
Joe Dealera get him on Twitter atthat very same name from the Action Network.
I imagine there'll be something of abreak coming up for you after everything

(01:03:57):
happens at home, but I hopeyou're able to enjoy the playoffs just the
same and making bets and everything alongthe way. Congratulations in advance, best
of luck. It's an incredible time, my friend. All right, thanks
man, it's a pleasure to betalking to you guys. Absolutely, we'll
do it again, suit well,as soon as that baby allows us to.
Anyway, Baby Josh Rtdalerra. Whenwe come back, we will have

(01:04:17):
Brad Thomas from NBC and the GoldBoys Network talking hockey after a Bruins win.
That'll be maybe a little bit morepositive conversation than talking about the Celtics
tonight. Well, we got ourselvesa sweat free cash for Brian's play.
He said, four straight straits,by the way, four consecutive straights.
Very nice in your way to saythat. Yeah, absolutely, his own

(01:04:40):
a nice little role. We neededsix, well over six, so seven
goals in the Kings and Oilers game, and midway through the second it is
tied at three, so we areguaranteed to cash that at some point along
the line. Here, so again, at least the one more in there,
which is good salvage is the nightjust a little bit. It's gonna
be a minus unit in change night. Not ideal. But we have given

(01:05:03):
you a whole bunch more picks fortomorrow, six of them posted on the
Action app. You can get ourpicks there. The gambler with AK is
the handle. Just download the Actionapp and you will find us. Dan
already has his straight play in bankor Repair, My Straight and bank or
Repair posted. We have Joe DelarisStraight that he just gave us, and

(01:05:24):
of course the People's Parlay, aplus six fourteen meaty People's parlay that I'm
hoping that we cash tomorrow to celebrateThursday and Draft Night and all of that
good stuff. I think before weclose, Dan's going to add a show
official pick for the NFL Draft aswell, so stay tuned for that.
But let's mix in a little bitof hockey while we've got some time here,

(01:05:45):
and our buddy Brad Thomas, whoof course you can get on Twitter
at mister Brad Thomas. He doesa great job over at NBC sports at
the gold Boys Network covers a numberof different sports or bets do we say
covers. He bets on a lotof different sports, handicaps a lot of
different sports, and we really shouldhave him on to talk more than just

(01:06:06):
hockey. But tonight it's hockey.Brad. What's up, Bud? Hey
man, I'm doing good. I'mhaving a good time watching this Oilers game.
I cash first period over one anda half. I can't believe it
was just sitting a minus one twentypre game. I live bet over seven
and a half. I live betover eight and a half. So things

(01:06:27):
are looking on the up and upthere you go, keep that going.
Let's get some more goals in thatgame for everybody involved. So we were
just talking about just well, Bostonsports busy day, and that includes the
Bruins four two win over Toronto.I don't know how you felt about this
series going in. Certainly we werepartial to the Bruins, not thinking it
was going to be a walk inthe park. But the real for me

(01:06:50):
anyway, I won't speak for Dan. The thing that I was really wondering
going into this series was, youknow, not whether or not the Bruins
would win but so much as howwould they do it and would we really
see that alternating goalie situation that wehad sort of been promised during the regular
season, And sure enough, throughthree games, it has been that Jeremy

(01:07:10):
Swayman was terrific in game one.Game two was Lena Selmark. They lost.
Wasn't his fault, but they didlose, and tonight Swayman back in
net again. He's excellent. Theywin. You have to come back with
Jeremy Swayman in game four. Yeah, I think you absolutely have to.
He's been phenomenal. I saw Isaw the post that SunNet Stats put out

(01:07:32):
to six and zero record against theLeads in the last two season. What's
funny is one of my favorite thingsto do is to kind of hear,
like the beat writers or those whoare covering the teams locally and pretty much
the the the what everyone's saying isthey need Swayman in net and that's I

(01:07:56):
mean. I must listen to atleast six people say that some of the
beat writers reporters out there, soI think it's something that has to happen.
Oh, I completely agree, Andif you I was just listening to
Jim Montgomery after the game saying howterrific Swayman was and how he liked his
quickness and how he just he hefaced a barrage of shots tonight, Brad
that like it was silly what JeremySwayman was able to pull off, and

(01:08:18):
I just don't know how you goaway from him now going forward. Yeah,
I agree, it's gonna be interestingtoo, because desperations in the set
in you know, they're only themaybleas early down to one, but there's
a They're a team that can justget putted on that like in a flurry,
especially when down, and you kindof want that, uh, that

(01:08:41):
pone and pole quickness that Swayman hadthat anytime he faced a barrage of shots.
Anything that you've seen so far outsideof the Bruins Leaf series obviously,
that has you know surprised you.You know, it's sort of like the
NBA in this first round where whereyou're just seeing teams jump out to two
zero leads. These series, youknow, don't seems maybe competitive as we

(01:09:01):
would have expected going in. Thebetter teams are just the better teams,
and that's that you know, it'scertainly playing out that way on the ice
thus far. Anyway. I knowit's early, but anything that's that's caught
you off garden at all, yeah, I would, And like, I
think I had to revisit my thoughtprocess at last season where it just feels

(01:09:21):
like, you know, the quickturn of momentum, but it's not even
the quick turn of momentum. It'swhen the good teams get down how fat
they're erasing multiple goal deficits. Imean, you look at the Avalanche,
you look at the Hurricanes, we'reeven looking at Edmonton against the Kings.
It's something that I didn't feel likehappened as much last season, where you

(01:09:45):
know, it's early in Silly Cupplayoffs right now, but it just feels
like that's something that's really resonating withme early in this first round. So,
Brad, what do you got youreye on tomorrow night? I just
in our last segment made the Lightningto win Game three and official show play.
What do you make of that seriesbetween Florida and Tampa. Oh,
I actually like that. I likethat a lot lightning pretty good at home,

(01:10:08):
and you know it's funny. Iwas just wanting to see how bad
the lighting were getting out shot inthe series because We know the Bolts just
allow a ton of shots, butthirty seven to twenty three might seem like
super terrible. But people have toremember, you know, Panthers were at
home. Now the both are theplay at home. They're twenty five and
eleven at home so far this season. I like that a lot. I

(01:10:30):
you know, call me crazy, but I think the Islanders chance to steal
the game with last game because theyplayed really well, even though the Hurricanes
on the road. I think I'mgonna I'm gonna stab a little bit in
the Hurricanes. My My biggest issuewith the Islanders not them blowing the game
or blowing the lead. There justnot good on the four check, which

(01:10:55):
if you're not going to for checkand you're not scoring enough, you're kind
of putting yourself in a very dangeroussituation. You said something that was pretty
funny about the good teams winning uhAnd I think the Hurricanes are a team
that can legitimately make it to theStanley Cup Finals, and they're playing like
it, even when they were facinga bit of adversity early on in that

(01:11:16):
In that last game, I knowSorkin in Netborg for the Islanders and that
could be a little morale boost forthem, but I don't think it's gonna
help them. This is such asuch a great scoring Hurricanes team. And
you know me, I'm the I'mthe Penguins guy. I was uh in
just spending to see how Jake gunswill be in the playoffs for them.
And you know, he's lived up, lived up to uh to all the

(01:11:38):
hype this in the mid season trade. So I like that money line.
There's one bet that I did takein that game, though, and the
props, you know, the propsare gonna take forever to come out,
but I took horror at over twoand a half shots. He's right now,
he's second on his team in shotsthrough two games shots on goal,
but he's getting a lot of shotsblocked and still hitting this He's hitting both

(01:12:00):
games. He's also uh second onthe team in shots shots on shots.
Not to me, he's just shotper game, not shots on goal.
I thought that number was pretty playableat minus one thirty. You know,
it's tough, right because this isthe only game we're really going to be
able to I in my opinion, this is the biggest game we're gonna be
able to attack Islanders shots on goals, because this is going to be their

(01:12:24):
biggest sense of urgency down two tooh playing at home. So I think
this is a good spot for HobartGolden Games, you know, just circling
back to a game that's happening rightnow. Obviously we've got the two tomorrow,
but Golden Knight's two to one leadat the end of two periods in
Dallas, they're up one nothing inthat series. Great opportunity to make it

(01:12:45):
two to oh and not just tooold, but two to oh, winning
both as the road team, andthen going back to Vegas, whereas we
know this team is very good, defending Stanley Cup champs. And you know,
I one thing that's really different fromthe NBA, Like the NBA,
generally speaking, talent wins out.You know, you don't see eight seeds,
you know, hardly ever win around, let alone go on a run

(01:13:10):
in In the NHL, it canhappen, you know, and it's it's
fairly commonplace even that an eight couldbe to one or an eight could go
on a deep run. We've seeneights win the Cup, you know,
hoist the cup. You know,it's it's happened multiple times. I took
Vegas to win this series against Dallas. I'm not at all surprised by what
is happening right now, but areyou. I'm not surprised even in the

(01:13:32):
slightest when in the beginning of theseason, I know there was a lot
of people who kind of scoff thatI thought that Vegas had the potential to
go back to back And it wasn'tnecessarily so much about you know, they're
just this ultimately stacked team. Ithink it's the players that haven't that have
a lot of tread on their tires, and players who have improved year over

(01:13:53):
year. And number one, I'mgonna talk about keel I don't I don't
know if you saw that assist earliertoday was just early tonight was pretty beautiful.
But him dedicating himself to play moreon the pilly kill, to play,
to play, to be on theice more, to impact the game,
not only on an offensive standpoint, but a defensive standpoint, getting back
in transition and all that those kindof small sacrifices or or or the way

(01:14:18):
you build yourself up as a player. That's the type of leadership that's infectious
and how you see dynasty start whereyou have that one player or a second
player like Mark Stone, guys whojust really grinded out. And it was
really really vile that mark Stone raculouslyrecovered and he's available for the playoffs.
I thought that was pretty ull.I couldn't believe that, really just could

(01:14:40):
not believe that mark Stone was justall of a sudden ready to go.
It was crazy. I feel likehobby is one of those sports where your
team's gonna get beat up like allseason. You need a lot of luck
health wise, and I felt likethe Knights had a lot of love this
year, like just to just tohave the players available, because there are

(01:15:02):
a lot of players on the teamwho were facing like serious injury, and
I was like, man, Icould derail their entire season. Brad Thomas,
you can get him on Twitter atmister Brad Thomas of course, from
NBC Sports Bet from the Gold BoysNetwork. He's all over the place.
Love following him and listen, payattention to what he's putting out there.
He'll make you money. You canjump in the discord as well. Brad.

(01:15:25):
Thanks so much, man. Itwas a quick hitter, I know,
but look forward to having you backon. We'll do it longer next
time. Absolutely, hey, pregsto win the series. It's minus one
o five. I've got to saythat, just want to get there.
You go see see that even pickson his way out the door. You
gotta love this guy. You gottalove him. He's trying. He never
stops trying to make your money. All Right, when we come back,
we're gonna, uh, you know, wrap up the week such as it

(01:15:46):
is, and we got one morepick to give you. It's from Dan
on the NFL drafts. Don't goanywhere. Now it's time to put the
show to bed with Mike Willow.Dan, go ahead, go, I
just just read what you wrote inthe chat. ESPN has made the Patriots
the favorite to draft JJ McCarthy,So listen. This is the ultimate,

(01:16:11):
oh yeah, go ahead, likecall my bluff kind of moment. But
I swear if they draft JJ McCarthy, I think I'm out. I think
I think I will have a newfavorite team. I can't which makes you
the most money? I can't.I can't do it. I don't.

(01:16:34):
I'm not an expert in any way, shape or form on college football,
and anyone who knows me knows thatI don't pretend to know more than any
of these people out there that dothis for a living. But what I
do know is the one thing,if anything, that I was consistent about

(01:16:54):
all throughout last football season is thatI do not believe in JJ McCarthy as
an NFL pro. Yeah, look, at least don't put him on the
team. I just don't think hecan elevate the talent around him. I
think he needs to have everything elsein place. In the Patriots that is
not the place for him. I'ma very big Drake May guy. I
think that Drake May can elevate talentaround him, as we've seen in college

(01:17:17):
with him, and that's why Iwant the Patriots to take him, because
I think the ceiling is just somuch higher with him. I just Michigan
didn't even trust him to throw theball when they needed him to throw the
ball. Run, run, run, or hand off. But anyway,
we could do this forever. We'retight on time. You have another pick
to give out for tomorrow. Yeah, I hinted at it during our segment
with Sean Green. Kansas City Chiefsto take a wide receiver with their first

(01:17:40):
pick. It's at plus one twentyon DraftKings right now. I think every
other book it's minus. So let'sgo plus one twenty for the Chiefs to
take a wide receiver with their firstpick. Gonna make you sweat it out
until the very last pick of thefirst round. But there you go.
Well it's one twenty even better.I think you lost a move plus y.
Yeah, all right, so jumpon the one twenty right there.
It all right? Well, likeI said, a rare, but two

(01:18:03):
in a row, one show week. We will be back to normal on
Monday. I don't think Dan's gonnabe with us. He's still gonna be
on on on on holiday as itwere. But Tuesday the full Vultron if
you will, thanks to our guest, to Brian, to Dan, enjoy
the draft. Let's go for thebest night's sleep you've ever had. Go
