Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the best of two pros and a couple
Joe with Labar Arrington, rading Win and Jonas Knox on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I'll be honest with you, the Boston Cleveland series and
OKC Dallas they're just not as good as the other two.
They're just not as good as Pacers Nicks. They're not
as good as t Wolves Nuggets, and so you know,
oh look, Cleveland stinks, all right, if we're gonna just
call it what it is to try and piss off

(00:35):
Braden Quinn as soon as he's up and ready, and
then the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Dallas Mavericks, they're
tied at two to two. So every series is going
to see a Game five, a pivotal game five, with
the series tied at two apiece, except for Boston Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
The Celtics have.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
A three to one lead over Cleveland and they'll look
to close that out at home. Donovan Mitchell was not
available last night, and you would assume that Boston would
have run away with it. Did not, And thoughts and
prayers to anybody who add the Celtics minus eight and
a half.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
That's a bummer. That's a bummer to lose out on
a on a meaningless.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Shot with about a second and a half left. So
away we go with the NBA playoffs. There any any
takeaways or any thoughts coming off those two games, or you,
like me, just wait until we get to the next round.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
H'm When I look at this Timberwolves Nuggets series, that
one is intriguing because again, I feel like the Timberwolves
are in the must win scenario right now. They need
to get a win more so than than Denver. And

(01:41):
I think that's just because Denver has made adjustments. Uh,
They're they're playing, They're playing some some really really good
good basketball right now. I mean when you when you
look at at the way Porter is playing Gordon Gordon,
I mean Gordon is he's like one of those underrated guys.

(02:06):
You know, he's not looked at it as one of
the main guys. But Gordon he really, you know, he
really he gets after it. You know? Is Gordon the
one that Vito said, I look like I don't know
that you look like I don't I don't either, but
Aaron Gordon, Yeah, Vito, for some reason, does he think
you look like you can't know?

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Man?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Let me look at him.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Let me, Yeah, you don't look anything like I didn't.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I didn't think so either of a veto threw it
out there. So I was just curious. I mean, I
don't know. Oh dang, come on, geez hot, gez.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
But you have a heart man sees minus eight and
a half. That was a rough one. Let me drink
your blood. Damn Dracula.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
But uh, by the point the Dracula, what team does
he play for? I heard he got a hell of
a crossover, he'll shoot the lights out.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Yeah, But the point is it's going to be Boston
and someone else, right, Yeah, I mean that's just that's
just that's where we're at now, Boston and someone else.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
And if Boston can get healthy, Perzingis can come back,
which that's what it looks like he's going to be
able to come back. Which I'm not even saying he's
like the determining factor, but he definitely will play a
role in going against a Western Conference team. I think
I think this could be the Celtics year. I mean

(03:43):
everything's lined up. I mean, the knicker we talked about
it yesterday. The knickser banged up.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Uh, Indiana, I don't know that anybody looks at Indiana
and says, well, that's that's a team that could be
a real threat, and then you know Donovan Mitchell's out.
I think early on I saw the Celtics are like
a fifteen and a half point favorite to close it
out in Game five. So it just feels like this
is the beginning of them getting to the Eastern Conference
Finals and then and then probably the Western Conference Finals,
and then you just see who comes out of there

(04:10):
and whether or not Denver continues the momentum and the
fact that LeVar is gonna sit here and all of
a sudden, speaking of Dracula, close the coffin on the
Timberwolf season after you.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I didn't close the coffin on It's still a series.
I just think this is a must win for them.
They can't lose. They can't lose this game, the game five,
they can't lose it.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You don't think they could come back to Minneapolis and
win a game six and force a game seven.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yes, yes, but I think it's not probable that they
win a game seven. I just don't think it's probable.
I think they do.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
It's all been road wins, right, How about this?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Out Let me? Let me rephrase or let me restate
how I'm going to say this. I don't think they
win two games in a row at this point, so
they need to win this next one.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Obviously. I just want three game sevens. That's what I want,
h I mean more on pace to get it.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I think they got to get to three first. They
got to get to three wins before Denver does. If three,
if Denver gets the three before them, if it's a
three to two for Denver, it's a rap. Jeez, that's
what I think. It's a real negative outlooking. Sorry, they
are the champs and they are playing pretty well, and
as I mentioned, your twin Aaron Gordon has been playing

(05:33):
really well.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Us man, I don't think I look like them either,
but I can find Let me let me dig this
up real quick and see what what the reasoning was behind,
because I don't even think I can read what was
actually said in the text based on what.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Was senterxt message. Yeah, positive, Okay, let's badge out while
you're looking for that. And he's right godly in that moment,
he does kind of look like Jonas Knox. Yeah, So
send it to Cue, send it to the to the group.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
So there's that, uh, Brady, you a little bit down
and out on the Cleveland Cavaliers after last night?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Was that was that the coup de gras? Was that
a rap on the Cleveland?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
I told you guys what yesterday or the day before.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
I mean, I just it feels like the East Eastern
Conference is going to be Boston and then it's whoever
they're facing out of the West. So I between OKAC,
which who had a nice comeback last night, it's kind
of you know, I was watching that hockey at the
same time, and I almost want to turned away from
the Mavericks game that I kept watching the score as

(06:44):
they blew their fourteen point lead, that they kept thinking,
there's no way they're going to blow this.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Are they sure enough?

Speaker 6 (06:49):
I mean, OKC Denver will be a hell of a
Western Conference finals, and I honestly think like those are.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Probably the te tools have been fun.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Anthony Edwards is amazing the way they've dropped out the
past two games, though I feel like it's more I
don't know, by the way I just.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Got the photo, I don't think I don't really see it.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
But I feel like it's the facial expression about I mean,
I feel like it's the facial expression and the way
he's holding his mouth.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I'll be honest with you, I look more like I
look more like lebron James.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
In that picture. Think it might be the facial structure.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
Well, I guess we could put it this way, like
Jonas looks like Aaron Gordon in the way that you
know Bronnie James is six to four.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Not come on, dang shots fire geeze shots farre draculas.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Like that's the reality of it.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Damn Ronnie, Bronnie. Now so hey the quicker picker up.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Let me.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Do uh do they measure basketball players though with their
shoes on? Because I have heard that, Like sometimes when
they do their height.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
I mean they do their they get to run to
do their vertical I think it's the weirdest looking thing
ever that they get to run and jump, but they
might get to keep their shoes on and get to
keep their clothes on when they get weight, you know,
I mean you take ours off, you know, body indecks,
you know, stuff like that, but naked, you know, make

(08:37):
sure you get off every piece of weight you can
get off, so they get the right you know weight.
They even put you in these pots and take the
air out of it and get your body masks like
waiting for what it is. Yeah, sweet ye pops. Yeah,

(09:00):
and then they tell you how how much body fat
you got? Yeh yeh mm hmm. The hell is going on?
What are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
That's what the bod pod does.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
It's taking all the air out. Yeah, that makes these
little popping sounds.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yes, it's terrible.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Did you get cluster ferbic when you're in there?

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Yeah? I thought I was going like not be able
to breathe anymore, you know. Then I was done. What's
the point that they want to know your body index?

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Like your gives you your body fat? More exact?

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yes, super exact?

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Can't They don't pull out like those tweezers and the
back of your arm and.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Pull out all the air.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Yeah, it's not as accurate. They're called skin CalPERS. It's directrical.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
They just be pinching on you. Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Yeah, it's like medical lobsters, just squeezing away.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
But apparently there's bod pods.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
Jonas it is Jonah Jones, Jonas.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Uh, Well tell you something, Lorenda Nuggets Larada. The more
you dance to it, the more it's gonna continue.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Okay, I'm so bad Jonas. I sing it at my
house in the daytime, so it's not just me. Think
about it. There must be people all around the world
who are just singing Jonah. We got to record it,
We got to record it. Yeah, it's got to be
a record. It's got to be a single. You give
me a TikTok? Right, yeah, yeah, going viral, go viral, Jonas,

(10:34):
I'm not you guys are.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Gonna go viral. Y TikTok's still be around.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
They said that they had to go, didn't I I
thought it was done by now, still around though not yet.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
You want you if they have a window of time
before they have to sell, and if they don't sell
by then, then it goes away.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Speaking of body match, I want to see something really
crazy before we go to break yell on. I told
you I was obese, right, Why are you laughing? Because
it's just okay. The picture on the right was when
we first started the show. Look at your look at
your your your group chat. Well yeah, I mean we're
on the radio. Look at your group chat. We should

(11:17):
we can put it out on put it out on
on the on the Twitter feed or the X. But
that's what I look like when I started the show,
and that's what I look like now. How about that?
See it? Yeah, obestsformation, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (11:35):
You should feel proud of yourself.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Thanks man. Yeah, I was fat as hell and your
fat ass can get in shape too. So make sure
you get up today and do something with your self.
Take some extra steps, drink some water, you know what
I mean? Do do do some cool things that aren't
over the top, like outrageous, and before you know it,
you'll start to look different. I think the other picture

(11:58):
looks better to be honestly, you know, back when we
started a.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Little bit more down to earth and humble. I mean
the other one you're just jacked. I mean you're all
juiced up to the gills. I'm not juiced down, but
like you can tell it like you just did, like
you know, like shoulder flies. No, you know, I probably
did legs that day. My legs don't grow though, if
you notice they're small in boat picks walking to the
club out, I'm a fan. I was clean with my

(12:23):
kicks though, right I'm keep my kicks clean, but my
belly was out there. You know the next step is
what don't bring your phone into the gym.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
That's the next step. Just get in there and start
moving stuff around. And who cares when anybody else thinks
looks at oh, well that's what I do.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Damn I do.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
I move it around and then I take I pull
it out and take pictures. But by the way, I
listen to my music through my phone, so that's not
you know, you're you try to like kind of slight me.
But it's all right. I got a mini like iPod if.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
You want one.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
General, I generally tank. I wish you got a walkman.
I wish if I saw somebody come in with a
walkman that with the old walkman headphones, the little sponge
dips cassette player, that would be hard, crazy hard, like
that dude is in here to win it, like some
club or Lang type approach.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
By the way, I saw a video of some guy
at the gym, like somebody's caption was I need to
find a new gym.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
And it was a guy at the squad.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Rack having a conversation with a police officer and then
he squared up to fight the police officer and the
officer just tased him in the middle of the gym.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
I saw a dude with some underarmor spandex pants on
and a half top yesterday with a head band, and
he had to been like seventy eighty and he had
no care in the world about how them pants looked

(13:54):
on him. And let's just say it was an interest.
I was trying to get it. I wanted to get
it so I could share it to y'all, but I
just couldn't. I couldn't. I felt like he was going
to see me, and if he saw me, then there
might be some rumors that started on me. And I
ain't want to be a part of that human street sweeper.
Huh bruh, bruh, bro, you and and listen like it

(14:19):
ain't it's not like that I was in that fly zone.
It just was just it was like, this dude's got
on some really really loose whoa like they were loose fitting,
and it was like, oh, bro, like put some shorts on.
Maybe maybe shorts, won't even put some sweat sweatpants on, man,

(14:39):
go work, somebody get this guy. Sure shorts ain't gonna work.
They call it snail trail. It was a snail trail going. Damn,
how much is that you mean?

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I'm all for it, man, I just put it that way.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
You all for it. I wouldn't have been surprised women
if he put it in his stock.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
They were very provocative.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
Men should be able to as well if they want
to show off what's down there.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
He was PERVASI the opportunity to do that.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
He did it. Yeah, at seventy some years old.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Good for him. Yeah, good for that guy.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
If I see him again, I'm just gonna tell him
I want to take a picture with him because I'm
so proud of him getting in shape. And I'm gonna
have somebody take a picture of us, and so I
could show y'all. And here's a duffelbacks. He can carry
that thing out. Hey, bro, I mean he had to
have tube socks on, is all I'm gonna say. All right,
fair enough? Yeah, yeah, if you're listening, sir, God Black,

(15:41):
well done. Be careful out here in these streets. They
got potholes in the road. Don't want that snail trail.
Drop it off in a hole. Yeah, you don't want that.

Speaker 1 (15:55):

He saw LaVar's before and after picture and he said,
Damn LeVar lost a lot of weight. Now I have
to go to orange theory. So you're uh, you know,
you're inspiring people to go out there, and I'll move
around onspirational, get out there.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Inspirational.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
People thought I was lying about how fat I was,
but I was a fat sob man. I'm telling you, obese,
What do you think you know?

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Did your doctor tell you you were obese?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yes, sir, you're overweight.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Mister you are.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
You're overweight, And that is like kind of like, yeah,
you're overweight, and you gotta lose milk. Look, I'm reading silk.
I was like, I was about to say, you gotta
lose milk and drink silk. That's so stupid, the one
you kind of do. Uh yeah, bruh. They told me like,

(17:34):
you gotta you gotta get it down. You gotta get
your weight down for the quality of your life.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
I don't want to take credit, but I feel like
two pros and a cup of Joe our show should
take credit for your transformation age.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
I mean, we helped you with Galt.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yep, you did have had any breakout? Yeah, it's true. Yeah.
I can't be standing next to you guys fat as hell.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I know that.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Like I was like sitting there, I'm like, man like,
look at them, like, well, what's going on here?

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Be honest, though, life was a lot more fun back then.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Probably being fat, oh, eating what I wanted to eat, absolutely,
But but now I've gotten to the point I've been
on this journey for over a year, so it's kind
of like I know when to like cheat it cheat
my diet, which I don't really have a diet anymore.
It's just like my lifestyle. I'm intermittent, faster there you go.

(18:25):
So I don't eat very often, and and and like
I kind of eat the same stuff just in different ways.
And then I eat different Like I don't eat white rice.
I eat brown rice. Stuff like that, like just a
little same bad that's racist, Yeah, right, go figure white
rice is bad for you. It's got sugars in it

(18:45):
and stuff like that. No, it's not.

Speaker 6 (18:50):
I'm pretty sure it's sure. I could send you an article,
send it to me. You're not gonna like to find
this out.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
I like white rice way more so if if that
is the bunk that I mean I've been told by
my nutrition it's that brown rice is the way to
go because there's no sugars in it. Sure is, Yeah,
I don't know. I mean that's debunked. It's debunked. I
can now do chipole a white rice instead of brown, right, Lee,

(19:18):
you got a problem with this? No brown sugar and
brown rice, Like, no, there's no brown I've always liked
to brown rice and brown sugar. So dah, my mother
brown sugar is really good. My mother in law makes
Mexican rice. That's outrageous. And the whole process, the way
they do it is incredible. Like that, that's if I'm

(19:39):
gonna eat rice, that's the only way I go. And
then that how do they do it? I don't know.
I just I have no idea. You see that that's
where I used to coach high school. Where is that
in Pasadena and Marinatha High. Yeah, there's a horrible car
accident that took place. Well, I mean that's that's in
prayers out to their family natural transition from rice. Well

(20:02):
was on the news. It's so crazy because all these
big news are stories are like connected to me, Like
I used to coach at that school, and then the
other one the other time, the kid that was going
to shoot up to school. That's where my daughter went
to school. It's crazy, man. Yeah, small world, it's way
too small anyway I do. I do credit to pros

(20:24):
and a cup of Joe for getting back in shape.
I mean, I'm up longer, I have longer hours, weird hours,
so you want to be in shape. But then when
I went and did my you know, my doctor's visit
after I left Ohio when I was walking around like
swamp thing. Yeah, he told me a lot about what

(20:44):
I needed to do, and changing your diet could could
help you with your gout outbreaks and dah to die this,
that and the other.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
And see, I remember the moment when you started thinking
that way. It was when we were doing the NFL
draft in Vegas. We were at MGM and it was
right next to Hakasan and the.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Woman came over and was, uh, was flirting. Yeah, the
lady of the Knight came through and was flirting.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
And you said that you saw the picture of you
and you were disgusted by it, and I was like, really, yeah,
I remember that specifically, And.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
I was like, oh, what are you talking about? Like
I didn't, I didn't notice anything. I didn't you know.
I more of a build you up now. But she
definitely came up on Like I mean, I didn't need
to lose weight based off of that. No, but that
you saw it on me.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
But that was your big takeaway was like, man, why
why they post that picture? I think she was trying
to breastfeed off of me or something. Yeah, because I
definitely had boobs, big old boobs.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Geez d Cups boy or something.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Like Big Daddy maybe I don't know, rubbed my belly
like I was the buddh like she was getting you know,
she was rubbing for luck, you know, I don't know.
I definitely looked really big and that. Yeah, you're right right,
I remember that obese. Man. You know, you gotta fight it.
You can't just go just can't live in it. You

(22:12):
gotta fight it, you know. And everybody out there that's
listening that's fighting weight problems and issues like I have
been fighting for for a little while. Now you can
do it. I'm telling you you can do it. I
do feel like you're embellishing you know how bad it
got though.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Bro, look at look at it like you act like
you're the mom from What's Eaton Gilbert Grave, Like come, no, no,
that's that's.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
That's out of there, right, that's out of their obese.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
They're not burning a house down because they can't get
you out with a foreclift.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
All right, that's out of there. Big. I'm just saying,
if you look at the picture that's on on we
put it on our on our page, how it started,
how it's going. It's bro, I'm obese. I was like
ten pounds away from I wait, right now, I weigh
two fifty two. I weigh two fifty five when I

(23:04):
played in the league. I was two forty nine when
I was in college. And right now I weigh two
fifty two. And that first picture, I was like, to
eighty five, that's ob sprong.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Way, Yes that heavy?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yes, yes, can you imagine that? That's And that's exactly
what I said when I stepped on the scale. No
way that heavy. Then I started doing the old school stuff,
start taking my shoes off, start taking and then lay
The nurse was like whoa, whoa, Like whoa, I'm like

(23:38):
what I'm I'm reverting back to when I played, Like
I'm about to get button naked, to get my weight,
to get the like the real weight. I'm like, this
is unbelievable. To eighty five, No way, na, NA checked
that that's and you know how close to three hundred
I am right now? Yeah, obese, you look great, Thank you.

(23:59):
I appreciate it. Man. I feel pretty good, Like I
can finally like start to admit that actually I'm feeling
pretty good. You know, my back doesn't hurt as bad,
my knees don't hurt his bad. So the doctor was right,
I replied to your tweet, just you are the the
the Fox Sports Radio, just to let you know my
thoughts on let's see what you did.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
So what did you say to like, just like.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Guns are out, I just got the machine gun. I
don't know what I mean. I'm really sure what that
what that means, but I figured I would throw that
out there just to let you know my thoughts and
all that.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
I am not not gassing. I don't I'm not using anything.
I need you well, I would tell you, I mean,
I would tell you. Listen, if you need a little bump,
just hit me up like inbox me. I'm not gassing.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
It's gonna be misinterpreted. Yeah, I don't think you want
to phrase it that way.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
I'm not gassing. How should I say? Oh, well, yeah,
bump is a little Yeah, you gotta have crut. Yeah,
bump is a little that that is Yeah, that's yeah.
Those our flurries. You know, uh, you know who got
a little bump? Who? Fox?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (25:09):
They did? You know who else got a little bump? Who?

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Tom Brady the Cowboys at the Browns Week one? Yeah,
in the primetime ELL's got a big bump. For twenty
five pm Eastern time window.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
You know who got a big bump? Who's that? Greg Olsen?
Oh yeah, big bump?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah yeah, Well Tom Brady has got that thirty seven
and a half million dollars a year bump.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
So somebody had to take the bump for that bump.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Well, he's uh, he's gonna be calling his first game, yep,
and it's gonna be Dallas Jack Prescott versus Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
I thought it was Michael Parsons versus, Uh, who's the
other guy?

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Get Well, I be the way that Tom Brady talked
about it with Michael Strahan at the Fox's Upfront twenty
twenty four event yesterday.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
Were you there? Cue? I mean, why weren't you there?

Speaker 6 (25:58):
I am here now, I've got some stuff I've got
to do today. I did not hear that yesterday, though.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Well take a listen, because he's already in peak analyst form,
which I'm sure will you know, probably not sit well
with some people in Dallas.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw as
America's team.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
That's going to get a little hard for me to
say that. All the time.

Speaker 9 (26:20):
I understand they were the competition for a long time.
But in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how
important they are to this network.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
They got great storylines.

Speaker 9 (26:28):
Come on, Dak Prescott, let's see if he can finally
come through one of the great defensive players.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Did that just slip out nights? He's still on the roast.

Speaker 9 (26:40):
Michael Parsons, what a great player he is, and coach McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
So I love covering them.

Speaker 9 (26:46):
I've been obviously going against him for a long time,
and now I get to tell everyone how great they are.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Oh already, like what you're doing, man, I really like it.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Yeah, that roast got to him. Yeah, he's still roasting.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
How many times it's top forty actually go up against Dallas?

Speaker 10 (27:01):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (27:02):
And were they actually really good at any point in
time that he was playing, Like, I think that was
just more Yeah, I think that was more tongue in cheek.
I mean they haven't been good throughout the duration of
Tom Brady's career. Like it had came to an end.
Our rookie year was coming to an end, and I
ended it effectively. I mean I sent Troy Aikman in

(27:23):
the retirement. So that was the end of that era
as it applied I've.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Got some numbers for you guys if you're interested. Tom
Brady's career against the Dallas Cowbells seven to zero, fifteen touchdowns,
five interceptions, and the only loss, if I have this correct,
is the playoff game, which I believe was his final

(27:54):
game as a Tampa Bay buccaneer, that wildcard game. So
maybe that's why he's taken a little bit.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Of a dig.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Because that was his last yss. Maybe that's what it
is interesting.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
But regular season wise played well seven and zero, never
lost to Dallas except for that one, So so that's
what we get from and all. I do think it's
kind of interesting that I think the recap of Tom
Brady's performance is going to outweigh the recap of either
Dallas or Cleveland. I think there's going to be more

(28:26):
people interested in seeing how Tom Brady does as a
broadcaster than maybe even how Deshaun Watson or Dak Prescott
to his quarterback.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
I don't disagree with that. It's kind of wild. Yeah,
that's true.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
I mean, that's why you pay him all that money.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
You know. I was just thinking about it's like ten
years from now.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
I mean, it's crazy, Tom Brady won a Super Bowl
with Tampa and by the way, like that time that
he's spent in Tampa was probably as crazy as anytime
in his career.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
I just don't know that I'm ever going to think
of him as a Tampa Bay Buck.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
He won, yeah, and he had any I will always.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Envision him being in the a f C his entire
career as a Patriot. You know, most forgot that he
played in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
For me, him leaving and winning a Super Bowl is
what I'll remember the most, Like, dang, he actually he
literally left and won a Super Bowl the next year.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Quite possibly during the hardest time to do.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
It, and in the history of life, in the history
of life. The dude was trying to go to National
Parks and they was said to him home.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
What's amazing? What about what he knocked on the wrong
person's house trying to go to buy re left, which.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Is you mightn't even have a mask on the person
who answered the door, Like Tom Brady at our house
right now, like come on in, you want some cookies.

Speaker 6 (29:55):
And by the way, someone just goes and grabs a
binder like yeah, yeah, come on, here's the playbook looks
let's go through this thing.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Now, When you guys think of Peyton Manning, what do
you think of? Because I think Broncos.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
So it's kind of the oppostion.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
He played.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
I mean he played long enough. I think in the
Broncos too, he did. Hey, Brady was what two years?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Brady was three? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Three?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
And uh Manning was four years in Denver, I mean
all of it. Yeah, what I'll say about what I'd
say about Peyton is the only reason why I think
the Colts stand out to me more most likely is
because just I feel like the circumstances were different, Like

(30:41):
nobody was sitting there, like was it Peyton Manning or
was it his coach? Now, I don't think there was
any I think the only drama that kind of played
out with Peyton Manning was is he washed because of
his neck and we're going to bring in Andrew Luck
and he's washed. And he wasn't washed. I mean his
ball didn't have as much of a on it, but
he wasn't washed all the way. He was good enough

(31:03):
to go.

Speaker 6 (31:04):
He also made it to two Super Bowls though, right, Yes,
he went to two Super Bowls there, Yes, I mean.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
He wasn't washed I mean, but but the way it
was being portrayed when he was in Indie Apple and
Indianapolis is that he was washed. I mean, it was
over like hang it up, like you shouldn't be playing anymore.
But I don't think that there was anything that would
have made me feel like the reason why I and
I don't remember Tom more so as a Tampa Bay buccaneer.

(31:34):
I clearly am with you on remembering him as a
New England Patriot. I mean, he's part of the greatest
dynasty ever in the history of our game. But the
fact that everybody called him a system quarterback that he
wouldn't have been what he was without you know, Bill Belichick,
which in a lot of ways you probably got to

(31:55):
assume that that's very, very true. But in the end,
that man left took Gronk Witting and they won a
Super Bowl. He took he took a B Whitting took
Gronk Witting went won a Super Bowl coming out of
a pandemic year. That I'll never forget that because it

(32:19):
to me, it said to me that Tom Brady's greatness
exceeded anything that anyone tried to put him in box wise,
category wise, in New England, like to understand how difficult
it is just to win your division, or how difficult
it is to just win games in the playoffs, let alone.
Just Hey, I'm gonna go to a different team. This

(32:41):
team has been pretty decent, not a great team. Just
got rid of Winston, needed needed a guy. They bring
him in and they go win the super Bowl. Like
it took a dude, that's great to be able to
do that. Like you can't and listen in the game itself,
it was. It was probably more so of the defense

(33:02):
and the way they played more so than what it
was the offense. All mahomes took a beating. But but
let's be clear here, it still took Tom Brady being
Tom Brady and his presence on that team for them
to be able to get to where they got to.
And that's what I always remember about him, my littermate.
You know, we were pups together, you know, two thousand, baby,

(33:24):
he was the last of the Mohicans. Now we're all
gone extinct. Now he's part of the family. There we go,
Fox Baby, part of the Fox.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Fanlyin, we'll take the roast basically into the season for Fox.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
He's a method actor. I think he needs time. Please
don't be a method actor. He's still living in the roast.
There's nothing worse.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
I feel like he's gonna be critical. Do you guys
get that?

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Stah, I do too, because if you heard him, remember
he was talking about quarterback playing.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
He was really like he spoke out about you know,
how poor yeah, and how soft the game is getting
to it.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
I think he's going to be a lot more critical
that maybe people realize because we assume, well, he's gonna
play it safe.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
And be right down the middle. Is he going to be?
You know?

Speaker 2 (34:06):
And I don't think because who's got who's going to
be able to tell him or or or try and
drop the well, how would you know? Dude, Like he's
the greatest ever, Like he could say whatever the hell
he wants, like Michael, Yeah, like you can't say anything.
Like I think he's gonna I think he's gonna let
it fly a little bit, which is gonna be fun
and probably piss some people off. So and who knows,

(34:28):
maybe he'll.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
Just be a very big contrast to Greg Olsen. Like
that's the difference, I'd.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Say, because he's super positive greg and complimentary.

Speaker 6 (34:36):
Yeah, I'll say he can be critical, but for the
most part he was really super positive.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Why he was called those games.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Yeah, well listen, congratulations Tom Brady, welcome into the family,
and it'll be fun to watch he gets massage Watson
Dak Prescott to start out his Fox broadcasting career.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
So up and running.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Be sure to catch live editions Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and Jonas
Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
So the NFL schedule release is coming up tomorrow eight
pm Eastern time, five o'clock Pacific for Brady Quinn out there.
And the five o'clock Pacific schedule release doesn't mean that
we're gonna have to wait to get all the releases
of the schedule.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
We're gonna get a Pacific. We're gonna get some some
things that'll be sprinkled in. Sprinkle some games on him Johnson.
And we've gotten a few sort of thrown in, one
of which just came out a short time ago. As
Eddie Garcia mentioned, we are going to get Bengals Chiefs
in week two. So Bengals Chiefs in week two that'll

(35:46):
be your matchup. So the Chiefs will open up the
year on Thursday Night against the Baltimore Ravens, and then
they're going to get the Cincinnati Bengals in Week two.
And I wonder if the NFL looked at that and said,
you know, last year we scheduled this for New Year's Eve.
You know, Jake Browning Patrick Mahomes doesn't have the same

(36:06):
appeal that a Joe Burrow potential matchup with Patrick Mahomes would,
So why don't we go ahead make sure we get
this game on early in the season so we can
get those two star players to take center stage in
week two of the year.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
That would be my guess.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
That's one way of looking at it. Although isn't Burrow
always hurt through training game? Yes, hikes, I mean, if
you've got a lot of time left before I'm just saying, like,
I don't know, maybe they put it there because they
knew his track record and they thought he'd be healthy then,
but then he wasn't. I mean, injury's a bit of
an issue firm regardless. So it's a hell of a

(36:38):
start to guarantee hell of a start to the year
for Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Though, and he's already telling you, they're already saying that
he's got to deal with the risks. Still him still
feeling it or feeling uncomfortable and discomfort about it. So,
you know, I don't know, I don't know how that looks,
but it'd be interesting to see how Burrow looks this season.
So I'm interested to see that. Yeah, I mean, if

(37:03):
he's not, if he's not what he was, I mean,
it's Cincinnati what they were? Oh were you? Oh yeah,
let me get this out of the way. Oh, let's
get it out of the way. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
The Bengals are winning that division. Like go ahead, o's
ober you think, oh yeah, you know Baltimore. Nah, listen,
you don't. You don't lose like that in the AFC
title game. Wait wait, wait, but Pittsburgh brought in Russ
and Justin Field.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Yeah, the Bengals are gonna win that division. I'm not
trying to be.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Why are you guys laughing? Why you guys laughing at
Mike Tomlin like that? Because Mike Tomlin's holding it down.
I'm the only one who's got any faith in Mike Tomlin.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
I mean, I would like to have somebody faith any
has that contract gotten done yet?

Speaker 3 (37:49):
Has Tomlins have faith in in the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
Mike brought him in?

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah, so I don't have faith in him.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Then, by the Adam Schefter did want to make everybody
clear on something. They got to make this clear to
everybody out there on social media, he wrote, for what
it's worth, these are not schedule leaks. These are coordinated
network announcements. Each of the NFL's broadcast partners is announcing
a key twenty twenty four season game prior to the

(38:20):
full schedule released Wednesday night on ESPN and ESPN Plus.
Thanks dude, because we didn't think that was the case
when Tom Brady did it at the Fox upfronts yesterday
with Michael Strahan. No, no, we thought for sure that
this is all The networks weren't involved in any.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Of this stuff. They do this every year.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
They always release a couple of games here and there,
and there's also insiders that cover teams that will release
the full schedule like an hour before they come out.

Speaker 6 (38:48):
Anyways, it's like, come on, dude, but is this because
he doesn't want his reputation to be damaged?

Speaker 4 (38:53):
I mean, otherwise he'd.

Speaker 6 (38:54):
Have every one of these games and schedules and all that,
maybe just throwing it out there to be like, look,
you people know this is something they're doing on their side.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
I already know all of this.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Right now, you know, I know how this is going.
I just can't say it yet. Come on, man, come
on man. So we are now.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
I wonder if there's going to be because the way
this has gone in the past is they'll do usually
another game or two we'll get released later today, and
then we start sprinkling in some more tomorrow. But it
is fun that they're doing this in our time slot.
That's kind of nice, nice breaking news. I mean, Lorena
said yesterday she thought she basically insulted us and said,

(39:35):
you know, it was really nice to be able to
play breaking news sounders again on a live show, which
which I took as a direct shot to our time
slot based on where you came from.

Speaker 8 (39:46):
It just seems so really, you know, things don't really
happen at this time on the West coast.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Yeah, so on the East coast, Yeah, things are happening
over there, right bou give us an opportunity to have
breaking news, then yes, look at us.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
So basically what you're saying is that the NFL would
rather drop breaking news during Doug Gottlieb Show and Codino
and Rich.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Yes, what the shows you used to work on? Okay,
you did that a lot, breaking the buttons all the time,
all the time. Dang, it's messed up. Man. We need
to have a conversation with Donna Scott.

Speaker 4 (40:21):
Can you press your whoa whoa?

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Yeah? And by the way, Lee did mention that Marcus,
by the way, he's good. He looks good man, He
looks vibrant, he looks awake aware.

Speaker 4 (40:40):
So I just there's some days Lee's have we evolved
the show of the days? He's just in the background.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
Lee's having one of those emotional letdowns today, you know
what I mean. You can tell he's he's good, he's happy,
but he's not like rat and that that that liquor hagh,
you know what I mean. He's just he's just he's chilling,
you know. But what the liquor has different than when
you when you're done with the weekend and the liquor
have the weekend. You know what I mean, Like you

(41:06):
go settle into it's Tuesday. Monday is definitely a vibe.
Still Monday, you still got it still right in that wave. Yeah,
and then the wave dies down and then you're just
paddling a little bit of a crash. There you go.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
I understand.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I have a theory about Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I think
most people get back together on a Tuesday or Wednesday
after they break up because when you're when the weekend hits,
you still alone. Yeah, well, you can keep yourself busy,
but then Tuesday Wednesday fill alone.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
And you feel like you feel the week like here,
I'm in the week now. I'm telling you. That's that's
his look right there. It's just good. You know he depressedly,
it's not depressed. It's just like he's come back to earth.
You know, he was in space with no helmet all
just I mean, it's just out there. There's one thing.

(41:55):
There's one thing that's going to get Lee ready to
go and looking forward to next season. He is a
Packer fan. We got a w Well, well, I mean
they are playing in Brazil, so.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
So Lee.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
I don't know how that's coming along, but I know
that you have, you know, thrown your name in the
hat for a trip to Brazil to watch the Packers.

Speaker 11 (42:20):
I have put in an official request for that, yes,
and I do actually plan on making the trip to
Mecca this year to uh Lambeau for a game.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
So today's big day.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
I got.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
I got my connect Mecca for real.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
Like Lee, how much time you be taking off as fall?

Speaker 3 (42:34):
Often?

Speaker 11 (42:36):
Probably just that week, you know, I usually don't take
off anytime during the during the NFL season, but uh no, you.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Can't take off during No, if you go to that
Packers game, you got to call in the next morning
at least.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Don't do that.

Speaker 4 (42:48):
Yeah, but the last time you said you call it,
you didn't call it.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Well, sometimes that doesn't well, I mean Q you are
on that list.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
Too, though, you know, Oh yeah, yeah, I guilty of charge. Yeah,
I'll take that one.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
You guys are on that one together.

Speaker 6 (43:04):
There's been a couple of times though, it's been like
a flight thing. There's been a couple of times, so
it's fair.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
It's fair.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
It's been like a lead. It's the type thing. Yeah,
you drink too much.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
You never had You've never had too much to drink
and didn't call in. You just didn't. You didn't make
it on I don't know, really go on calling it.
Let's have vulnerability.

Speaker 6 (43:32):
Jonas has asked me to call it on a Saturday,
and I've been a little probably a little too uh.

Speaker 10 (43:37):
Yeah, really all right on a Saturday, Yeah, you were,
you were on, but he was on chill mode when
when I was ready to turn up.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
I turned up that day too, by the way, I
turned all the way up, and he had to go
to a production meeting. So maybe that's all.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
You're talking about the fall. I'm talking about like the
off season.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
Okay, okay, yeah about like this time of year. Okay,
I was working and still went.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Yeah, but you you had a different You had a
different requirements like I had.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Know, you got to be on TV and stuff and
look at certain.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Well no, no, no, not even that.

Speaker 6 (44:14):
I just I had more of like the you know
how there's like TV and there's like the actual work
and then there's.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Like all the behind the stuff work.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
But yeah, that's like considered work. I had to do that.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Yeah, you had to leave me. You left me. I
was double fishing for that stuff. I was walking solo.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
You're with Dave. I thought I thought Dave stayed with you. No,
I was.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
It was just you and me, you remember, it was
just you and met. I went to that little bar
and then we was there. Well then, I don't even
remember Dave being there with me.

Speaker 4 (44:41):
I think Dave came up at some point. I don't
think I was by myse I think Dave reminded me.
Maybe Dave left with me because he reminded me. We
had the meeting. I almost forgot.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
Because I rolled out. I started meeting Penn staters on
the street and we was getting it in. Yeah, yeah,
I was.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
City is a fun place, man.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
I was double fisted. Q had to roll out. I
was ready to start. We was ready to sing. Sweet.
We was singing all kinds of songs at the bar.
I don't even know we were. I don't even remember,
but we were singing at the bar. Gad dang it,
we were doing it. Yeah, yeah, so cool to get
an invite to big New kickoff must be sweet.

Speaker 4 (45:17):
Yeah, I mean, Jonas, do you have an open invite?
You just don't want to travel? So well?

Speaker 2 (45:20):
No, I mean, I'll travel, but it's got to be
first class. There's an appearance fee, and you guess they
had a graduate five minutes on.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
Are you telling me the Ireland trips in the first class? Listen?

Speaker 3 (45:33):
I don't want to get into the details. I don't no,
I don't want to get card has been pulled. The
card was pulled on the way there. I heard it
was a hell of a flight. It was not pulled
on the way back. I can assure you. Oh they
got you.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
They got you there, did they?

Speaker 3 (45:50):
Yeah? Then you know Lee and I were we're started
ning it up on the way back. That's when Lee
had it in his pocket. At the contraband Lee, Lee
dozed off.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
It is a ten hour flight, so you, like you
you get drunk twice and fall asleep twice. And Lee
like dozed off at one point, and he like is
tilted over to the right, and there's this little old
woman that's sitting over like next to him, and I'm
just like, I think it was like watching something on
TV or like reading something.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
And I just hear this lady go, hey, hey, you're
breathing all over me. I look she's talking.

Speaker 7 (46:35):
And she likes and Lee wakes up, like in a
drunken stupor goes fall.

Speaker 3 (46:40):
Sorry. I literally I couldn't breathe. I was laughing so hard.

Speaker 4 (46:48):
Is true, snoring on her.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Oh little lady wearing a mask like, hey, hey, you're
breathing all over me?

Speaker 7 (47:00):
So funny, and Lee looked at me, it's so good,
but yeah, so oh man, and then leaders looked at

(47:22):
me like, give me a grand like yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
I was breathing on her, Yeah we were. I wonder
what that smelled like. And I smelled so bad when
we got off the plane. For her to be so
repulsed like that, yeah, wearing a COVID mask.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
But she wasn't fearful enough that she couldn't nudge this
stranger off of her, as this yetti was like leaning
over on top of her, breathing on her.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
Lady was tiny.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
Lee was knocked out to know he was, Oh yeah,
just snoring song loogs right next to this little old
lady on the flight backs
