So you're, uh, you know, you're inspiring people to get
out there.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I'll move around.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Itspirational, get out there, inspirational.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
People thought I was lying about how fat I was,
but I was a fat s ob man. I'm telling
you obese. Well do you think you know?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Did your doctor tell you you were obese?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Your fas like, sir, you're overweight, mister Rington, you are
obeus you're overweight.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
And that is like kind of like, yeah, you're overweight,
and you gotta lose milk. Look, I'm reading silk. I
was like, I was about to say, you gotta lose
milk and drink silk. That's so stupid, the one you
kind of do. Uh yeah, bruh. They told me like,
you gotta you gotta get it down. You gotta get

(02:10):
your weight down for the quality of your life.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
I don't want to take credit, but I feel like
two pros and a cup of Joe our show should
take credit for your transformation age.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I mean we helped you with Galt.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yep, you did had any breakout out? Yeah it's true. Yeah,
I can't be standing next to you guys fat as hell.
I know that. Like I was like sitting there, I'm like,
man like, look at them, like, well, what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Be honest, though, life was a lot more fun back then.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Probably being fat. Oh, eating what I wanted to eat. Absolutely,
But but now I've gotten to the point I've been
on this journey for over a year, so it's kind
of like I know when to like cheat it cheat
my diet, which I don't really have a diet anymore.
It's just like my lifestyle. I'm intermittent, faster there you go.

(02:58):
So I don't eat very often, and and and like
I kind of eat the same stuff just in different ways.
And then I eat different Like I don't eat white rice.
I eat brown rice. Stuff like that, like just a
little same bad that's racist, Yeah, right, go figure white
rice is bad for you. It's got sugars in it

(03:19):
and stuff like that. It's not I'm.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Pretty sure it's sure. I could send you an article,
send it to me. You're not gonna like to find
this out.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I like white rice way more so if if if
that is the bunk that I mean, I've been told
by my nutrition it's that brown rice is the way
to go because there's no sugars in it. Sure is. Yeah,
I don't know. I mean that's debunked. It's debunked. I
can now do chipole a white rice instead of brown. Right,

(03:51):
you got a problem with this? No brown sugar and
brown rice? Like, no, there's no brown. I've always liked
and brown sugar.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
So dang, My mother sugar is really good. My mother
in law makes Mexican rice. That's outrageous. And the whole process,
the way they do it is incredible.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Like that.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
That's if I'm gonna eat rice, that's the only way
I go. And then mat how do they do it?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I don't know, I just I have no idea. You
see that that's where I used to coach high school.
Where is that in Pasadena and Marinatha High. Yeah, there's
a horrible car accident that took place. I mean, that's
that's in prayers out to their family. Natural transition from rice.
Well was on the news. It's so crazy because all

(04:37):
these big news are stories are like connected to me,
Like I used to coach at that school and then
the other one the other time. The kid that was
going to shoot up to school, that's where my daughter
went to school. It's crazy, man. Yeah, small world, it's
way too small anyway, I do. I do credit to
pros and a cup of Joe for getting back in shape.

(05:00):
I mean, I'm up longer. I had longer hours, weird hours,
so you want to be in shape. But then when
I went and did my you know, my doctor's visit
after I left Ohio, when I was walking around like
swamp thing. Yeah, he told me a lot about what
I needed to do, and changing your diet could could
help you with your gout outbreaks and da da da

(05:22):
this that and the other.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
And see, I remember the moment when you started thinking
that way. It was when we were doing the NFL
draft in Vegas. We were at MGM and it was
right next to Hakasan and the woman came over and was, uh,
was flirting.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, the Lady of the night came through and was flirting.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
And you said that you saw the picture of you
and you were disgusted by it, and I was like, really, yeah,
I remember that specifically, and I was like, oh, what
are you talking about? Like I didn't, I didn't notice anything.
I didn't you know, I'm a build you up.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Now put you. She definitely came up on like, I mean,
I didn't need to lose weight based off of that.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
No, but that you on me. But that was your
big takeaway. It was like, man, why they why they
push that picture?

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I think she was trying to breastfeed off of me
or something. Yeah, because I definitely had boobs, big old boobs,
geez d cups boy or something like the Big Daddy
maybe I don't know, rubbed my belly like I was
the buddh like she was getting you know, she was
rubbing for luck, you know, I don't know. I definitely

(06:34):
looked really big and that. Yeah, you're right right, I
remember that obese.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Man.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
You know, you gotta fight it. You can't just go
just can't live in it. You gotta fight it, you know.
And everybody out there that's listening, that's fighting weight problems
and issues like I have been fighting for for a
little while. Now, you can do it, I'm telling you
you can do it.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
I do feel like you're embellishing, you know how bad
it got though, bro, look at look at it like
you act like you're the mom from What's eton Gilbert Greve, Like, Noah, No,
that's that's that's out of there, right, that's out of
their obese. They're not burning a house down because they
can't get you out with a foreclift.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
All right, that's out of there. Big. I'm just saying,
if you look at the picture that's on on we
put it on our on our page, how it started,
how it's going. It's bro, I'm obese. I was like
ten pounds away from I weigh right now, I weigh
to fifty two. I weigh two fifty five when I

(07:37):
played in the league. I was two forty nine when
I was in college, and right now I weigh two
fifty two. And that first picture, I was like, two
eighty five. That's obese, broke.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Way Yes that heavy?

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yes, yes, can you imagine that that's And that's exactly
what I said when I slept on the scale. No
way that heavy. Then I started doing the old school stuff,
start taking my shoes off, start taking and then the
nurse was like whoa, whoa, Like whoa, I'm like what

(08:12):
I'm I'm reverting back to when I played like I'm
about to get button naked to get my weight, to
get like the real weight. I'm like, this is unbelievable.
To eighty five no way, nah checked that that's and
you know how close to three hundred I am right now? Yeah, OBEs,
you look great. Thank you. I appreciate it. Man. I

(08:33):
feel pretty good, like I can finally like start to
admit that I actually I'm feeling pretty good. You know,
my back doesn't hurt as bad, my knees don't hurt
his bad. So the doctor was right, I replied to
your tweet, just you are the the the Fox Sports Radio,
just to let you know my thoughts on let's see
what you did. So what did you say to like,
just like guns are out, I just got the machine gun.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
I don't know what I mean, I'm really share what
that what that means, but I figured I would throw
that out there just to let you know my thoughts
on all that.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
I am not not gassing, I don't I'm not using anything.
I need you well, I would tell you, I mean,
I would tell you listen, if you need a little bump,
just hit me up like in box me. I'm not gassing.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
That's gonna be misinterpreted. Yeah, I don't think you want
to phrase it that way.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
I'm not gassing. How should I say? Oh? Well, yeah,
bump is a little Yeah, you gotta have crut Yeah, yeah,
bump is a little that that is yeah, that's yeah.
Those our flurries, you know? Uh, you know who got
a little bump?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Who?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Fox?

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (09:42):
They did?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
You know? Else got a little bump? Who? Tom Brady?
The Cowboys at the Browns Week one? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:48):
In the primetime else got a big bump for twenty
five pm Eastern time window?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
You know who got a big bump? Who's at Greg Olsen? Oh? Yeah,
big bump?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Ye?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, Well Tom Brady has got that thirty seven and
a half million dollars a year bump.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
So somebody had to take the bump for that bump.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Well, he's he's going to be calling his first game, yep,
and it's going to be Dallas Dak.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Prescott versus Deshaun Watson. I thought it was Michael Parsons
versus h who's the other guy?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Get Well, I'd be the way that Tom Brady talked
about it with Michael Strahan at Fox's Upfront twenty twenty
four event yesterday?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Were you there?

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Cue?

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I mean, why weren't you there?

Speaker 5 (10:31):
I am here now, I've got some stuff I'm gonna
do today.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
I did not hear that yesterday, though.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Well take a listen, because he's already in peak analyst form,
which I'm sure will you know, probably not sit well
with some people in Dallas.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw as
America's team. That's going to get a little hard for
me to say that all the time. I understand they
were the competition for a long time, but in this
new role, I know the Cowboys how important they are
to this network.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
They got great storylines.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Come on, Dak Prescott, let's see if he can finally
come through one of the great defensive players. Did that
just slip out?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Right? He's still on the roast.

Speaker 6 (11:13):
Michael Parsons, what a great player he is, and uh
and coach McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
So I love covering them.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
I've been obviously going against him for a long time,
and now I get to tell everyone how great they are.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Oh, already like what you're doing, man, I really like it.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, that roast got to him. Yeah, he's all he's
still roasting how.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Many times did Tom Brady actually go up against Dallas?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah, and were they actually really good at any point
in time that he was playing, Like, I think that
was just more Yeah, I think that was more tongue
in cheek. I mean, they haven't been good throughout the
duration of Tom Brady's career, Like it had came to
an end. Our rookie year was coming to an end,
and I ended it effectively. I mean I sent Troy

(11:56):
Aikman in the retirement, so that was that was the
end of of that era as it applied. I've got
some numbers for you guys, if you're interested. Tom Brady's
career against the Dallas Cowboy also seven and zero, fifteen touchdowns,
five interceptions, and the only loss, if I have this correct,

(12:24):
is the playoff game, which I believe was his final
game as a Tampa Bay buccaneer, that wildcard game. So
maybe that's why he's taken a little bit of.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
A dig.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Because that was his last loss. Maybe that's what it
is interesting.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
But regular season wise played well seven and zero, never
lost to Dallas except.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
For that one.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
So that's what we get from. And I do think
it's kind of interesting that I think the recap of
tom Brady's performance is going to outweigh the recap of
either Dallas or Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I think there's going to be more.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
People interested in seeing how Tom Brady does as a
broadcaster then maybe even how Deshaun Watson or Dak Prescott
to his quarterback.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I don't disagree with that. It's kind of wild. Yeah,
that's true.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
I mean, that's why you pay him all that money, you.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
Know, I was just thinking about it's like ten years
from now. I mean, it's crazy. Tom Brady won a
Super Bowl with Tampa, and by the way, like that
time that he spent in Tampa was probably as crazy
as any time in his career.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I just don't know that I'm ever going to think
of him as a Tampa Bay Buck.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
He won, yeah, and he had any I.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Will always envision him being in the AFC his entire
career as a Patriot. You know, I almost forgot that
he played in the NFC.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
For me, him leaving and winning a Super Bowl is
what I'll remember the most, Like, dang, he actually he
literally left and won a Super Bowl the next year.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Quite possibly during the hardest time to do.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
It, and in the History of Life. Right in the
History of Life. The dude was trying to go to
National Parks and they was said to him home.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
What's amazing?

Speaker 5 (14:14):
What about what he knocked on the wrong person's house
trying to go to buyron left, which is.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
You mightn't even have a mask on the person who
answered the door, Like it's Tom Brady at our house
right now, like, come on in, you want some cookies,
and by the.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Way, but someone just goes and grabs a binder like yeah, yeah,
come on, here's the playbook.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Let's let's go through this thing.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
When you guys think of Peyton Manning, what do you
think of because I think Broncos so it's kind of
the Oppott he played.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
He I mean, he played long enough. I think in
the Broncos too, he did. Brady was what two years.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Brady was three, yeah, three, and uh Manning was four
years in Denver. I mean all yeah. What I'll say
about what I'd say about Peyton is the only reason
why I think the Colts stand out to me more
most likely is because just I feel like the circumstances

(15:13):
were different, like nobody was sitting there, like was it
Peyton Manning? Or was it his coach. I don't think
there was any I think the only drama that kind
of played out with Peyton Manning was is he washed
because of his neck and we're going to bring in
Andrew Luck and he's washed. And he wasn't washed. I mean,
his ball didn't have as much velocity on it, but

(15:34):
he wasn't washed. All the way. He was good enough
to go.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
He also made it to two Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Though, right we kind of forget him.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yes, he went to two Super Bowls there, Yeah, I
mean I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
He wasn't washed. I mean, but but the way it
was being portrayed when he was in Indie Apple and
Adannapolis is that he was washed. I mean it was
over like hang it up, like you shouldn't be playing anymore.
But I don't think that there was anything that would
have made me feel like the reason why I'll and
I don't remember Tom more so as a Tampa Bay buccaneer.

(16:07):
I clearly am with you on remembering him as a
New England Patriot. I mean, he's part of the greatest
dynasty ever in the history of our game. But the
fact that everybody called him a system quarterback that he
wouldn't have been what he was without you know, Bill Belichick,
which in a lot of ways you probably got to

(16:28):
assume that that's very, very true. But in the end,
that man left took gronk Witting and they won a
super Bowl. He took ab Witting, took Gronk Witting went
won a super Bowl coming out of a pandemic year.

(16:49):
That I'll never forget that because to me, it said
to me that Tom Brady's greatness exceeded anything that anyone
tried to put him in bach category wise in New England,
like to understand how difficult it is just to win
your division, or how difficult it is to just win
games in the playoffs, let alone just hey, I'm gonna

(17:12):
go to a different team. This team has been pretty decent,
not a great team. Just got rid of Winston, needed
a guy. They bring him in and they go win
the super Bowl. Like it took a dude, that's great
to be able to do that. Like you can't and
listen in the game itself, it was it was probably

(17:34):
more so the defense and the way they played more
so than what it was the offense. Mames took a beating,
but let's be clear here. It still took Tom Brady
being Tom Brady and his presence on that team for
them to be able to get to where they got to.
And that's what I always remember about them, my littermate.
You know, we were pups together, you know, two thousand baby,

(17:57):
he was the last of the Mohicans. Now we're all
gone extinct. Now he's part of the family. There we go,
Fox Baby, part of the Fox family.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
We'll take the roast basically into the season for Fox.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Why not? He's a method actor. I think he needs
Please don't be a method actor. He's still living in
the roast. There's nothing worse.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
I feel like he's gonna be critical, do you guys
get that?

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Steah?

Speaker 4 (18:21):
I do too, because if you heard him, remember he
was talking about quarterback play and he was really like
he spoke out about you know, how.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Poor yea, then how soft the game is getting.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
I think he's going to be a lot more critical
than maybe people realize because we assume, well, he's going
to play it safe.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
And be right down the middle.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Is he going to be?

Speaker 1 (18:38):
You know?

Speaker 4 (18:39):
And I don't think because who's got who's going to
be able to tell him or or or try and
drop the well, how would you know, dude, Like he's
the greatest ever, Like he could say whatever the hell
he wants, like Michael, Yeah, like you can't say anything.
Like I think he's gonna I think he's gonna let
it fly a little bit, which is gonna be fun
and probably pissing people off. So and who knows, maybe

(19:01):
he'll just be a very.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Big contrast to Greg Olsen. Like that's the difference, I'd.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Say, because he's super positive Greg Greg and complimentary.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Yeah, I'll see he can be critical, but for the
most part, he was really super positive.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Why he was calling those games.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Yeah, well listen, congratulations Tom Brady, welcome into the family,
and it'll be fun to watch he gets massage Watson
Dak Prescott to start out his Fox broadcasting career.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Wow, so up and running.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here

Speaker 4 (19:41):

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up in less than twenty minutes from now, we are
going to have another edition of would You Rather? That's
a lead to Lapse special, so make sure you stick
around for that. That'll be yours here again less than
twenty minutes from now from the tiraq dot com studios.
So it's been a few minutes since the New York

(21:01):
Jets have had some issues. And away we go from
Connor Hughes of SNY, who covers the Jets quote the
Jets made legitimate attempts this offseason to hire someone who
would essentially replace Nathaniel Hackett, not as a new offensive coordinator,
but a title above who would run the show. So

(21:25):
here's the question. Why the f is that coming out
and being made public? Why would this be a good
idea for this to come out?

Speaker 2 (21:35):
What does that even mean?

Speaker 5 (21:37):
By what doesn't mean like the title above offensive coordinator
is your head coach.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Or assistant? Hey, coach, associate or something to that effect.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
Yeah, but usually that title doesn't like call the plays
and they're not overseeing it. So I don't really get it.
But the question you asked, Jonas is the question, and
that needs to be answered. And the only thing I
can think of is this, when you have bad organizations,

(22:09):
typically there's people who are in You're on the ship altogether, right,
You're on this voyage, and there's two things that people
do when adversity strikes they get a pickaxe and they
are tearing holes in that boat trying to take it
down faster, or they're looking for a life raft and

(22:30):
they're trying to jump off and save themselves. This feels
like the latter. It feels like there's someone who wants
to get this out there that in the event things
don't go well with Nathaniel Hackett and Aaron Rodgers and
the offense that hey, we did.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
It wasn't us.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
It was someone else behind the scenes who wanted this
to be the case going into the season. But this
is this sort of thing that happens with bad organizations
when everyone's not.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
All on the ship. They're not all on board for
the voyage, for the journey. Dang.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
So you're saying it's self self, what is it? Preservation?

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Dang?

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Is it Joe Douglas? Is it?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Is it Robert Salah? Is it both? I mean, I
don't think it's going to go well. I've told you
all that I don't think it ends well with Aaron Rodgers,
the Aaron Rodgers story in New York City. I just don't.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
So here's my question is what do you think they
do this year? Do they make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
No, I told you they don't in my assessment what
I said, I don't think they hit double digit wins.
I don't. And I know we ran the betting line
on that and everything you said. I think they said
it was like at nine, nine or ten.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Yeah, what is their over under?

Speaker 1 (23:55):
It went total efforting. Yeah, I don't think that they
hit double digits. And that's my I think it's a
talented team, but it was a super talented team this year.
And well, I just I mean I think it was
especially it was that's.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
The quarterback quarterback play.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Yeah, I get it, like thought, like the fact that
this comes out like and if this is like a
you know, self preservation, like everybody like we don't need
to know, you know, if this goes wrong, what's going
to happen?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
If it goes wrong, everybody's gone, Like everybody's gone. But
like I look at it and go.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Aaron Rodgers said a little while back. I think it
was on the pad bag of the show starring AJ
Hawk where he said, look, we need to get rid
of whatever the leagues are in the locker room. That's toxic.
There's too many things that are coming out of the
locker room.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
That's got to end.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
And yet here we are just a couple of months
later and this comes out that basically the guy who's
still there, Yeah, they tried to find somebody to to
basically replace him, the guy that's Aaron Rogers guy.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Why what is this? Like?

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Why? Why is this any nine and a half? Nine
and a half, nine and a half. Yeah, I'll take
the over. Yeah, I'm gonna take the under on that.
I'm gonna take the under on that and a half.
They might get nine, I'll give them nine. I'm not
giving them double digits. It's but what And let's look

(25:25):
at it like this. Let if we take the over,
if they get to ten wins eleven wins, still, is
that enough?

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Is that get the playoffs? I think it is.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
It might not be. It might not be. It might not.
They might with ten wins eleven wins, they might end
up on the cusp of a wild card, the cusp.
I don't. I don't see them getting that many. But
let's just say they did. Let's just say they get
into the playoffs. Is the playoffs good enough? Is that

(26:00):
good enough? Or is this up diffuge? Is this is
this propaganda that's being put out there is this self preservation.
Whoever it is that's self preserving themselves by doing this,
is this is? Is it going to be good enough
for them to say I told you we didn't need
to do this with Aaron Rodgers, and a rod needs

(26:23):
to go and so does so does the offensive coordinator.
I think if they make the playoffs, everybody comes back.
If they make the playoffs, just dang, that's some low standards.
I mean, it's the Jets.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
What's the last time they made the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (26:42):
It's the damn Jets.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
I think if they have the longest trout in the
NFL right.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Now, don't they That's like the Dollar Tree saying no,
we're not gonna sell champagne please?

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Is it last damn donald Off appearance in two thousand
and eleven twelve?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
It was what what uh with fetish?

Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yeah foot fetish recks. Do you want to hear their
twenty twenty four opponents home and away?

Speaker 1 (27:13):
All right?

Speaker 4 (27:14):
So home games outside of the division, the Jets have
the Texans, they lose, the Colts, they lose, the Rams,
they'll lose the Seahawks and the Broncos. They'll lose right
away games outside of the.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Division, maybe one, Broncs, maybe one away games maybe outside. Yeah,
the Jaguars they'll lose, the Titans they will win, the
Cardinals they'll maybe fifty to fifty. The forty nine Ers
they'll lose. The Steelers lose, and the Vikings they lose.

(27:47):
It's manageable. They're slight favorites.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Schedule.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
There are slight there minus one thirty five to go
to the playoffs. I think they're going on to the plas.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
I could see four. I can see four wins in that.
So you got the You got the Jets going for thirteen.
That's does all their games right there, that was there.
They might get. Yeah, they'll get some divisionals. They'll get
like two, two or three divisionals. So there you go, seven, eight,
There you go.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
How are they going to be worse this year with
Rogers than they were last year and they've got.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
A better roster.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Okay, I'm just telling you. They don't get more than
nine wins. Nine and a half is the line. I'm
taking the under on that, and I think that's easy money.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
I'm taking the over. I think they win ten and
I don't know if it's much more than.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
That, but easy money.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
We'll get in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Wow, Brady vision one win more than what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Well, because for for this reason, that's why the over
are said it that at half. That's how betting works.
But like, how do we know how Buffalo is going
to be this year? Who's Josh Allen throwing to I
think we assume we'll be right there, but we don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
I think Miami will be the team to beat. The
Bills could possibly, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
No, I don't got a new head coach, new quarterback.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
I don't see that their division.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
They could easily win for if not five games, you know,
as far as the divisional play goes.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
I know why LeVar is down on the Jet. I
give him three four wins three four. I know why
you're down on the Jets.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
Why is that because you harken back to a time
almost twenty years ago where you were standing in line
as a member of the Giants to get into like
Marquee or one of those hot clubs back in New York, and.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
We walked right in. I wasn't standing in line and
it was we walked right in.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
It was Jet standing yeah, And you're like, like, oh,
mister Pennington, sorry, it's gonna be in a half.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Hour at least go out. He wasn't one that way.
He was more stay at home type. Yeah, Jericho contree.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Now, sorry, buddy, it's gonna be another forty five minutes
before you can come in. I'm remember the Giants, you
still looked down on.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Jericho was after.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, he's a bit after me. I'm just letting him
go though.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
What we're talking about. I'm looking at the two thousand
and six Jets roster. I mean, I'm not looking at
him thinking about it at the top of my head.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Okay, yeah, yeah, well he would have been there then,
you know, but I'm still just letting you go. No,
this is I have no ill will towards the New
York Jets. In fact, they just took one of my
guys with their number one pick, so I feel he
just signed by the way he did. Just Oh, you

(30:30):
gotta tell him.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Watch out of the rats and the building there for
Shanu WHOA really, I mean, come on, there's always leaks
coming out of there.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Gotta be cared. Oh, well, that's New York Media. That's
there there, that's every locker room there. But I don't
think they're going to get more than nine nine, eight
or nine playoff team. I can't wait for us to
get to the other side of this one. This is
the one that and now you know what it does
for me. It makes watching the New York Jets watchable

(31:00):
now because they have not been. It's like gambling. There
you go, this is why this is fun. I'm just
going to pay hard.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Just what if they start off the season five to.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Zero, I still would think that they're going to lose
the rest of them and they're going to lose thirteen.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I do appreciate Levara's stubbornness, you know.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, I'm just I just don't see it. I don't
see it.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yeah, but you also thought that Rogers was going to retire.
I did not, and I did say Brady was the
one who told you watch out for the jetson well,
Brady said that he wasn't going to be in in
Green Bay the year that he went back either. You know,
it's possible that he could be wrong at times. Yeah,
there's the possibility that I can be correct at times,

(31:45):
and I tend to live in those I like to
live in them. And this is one of those big moments,
like when it happens, I'm want to live in it.
I'm gonna live in it. I said it would go
bad for them this year, and it did. Now, I
didn't know that it would go bad that way, but
I didn't think that it would go well for them.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
I just don't think that the Aaron Rodgers experiment is
going to work in New York. I just don't. I
think sometimes for every time we see somebody like Tom
Brady and we get carried away with thinking that a
guy that has such greatness is going to go somewhere
else and still continue to be great, there's always the
harsh reality that sometimes, more often than not, it's not

(32:23):
going to turn out the way it turned out for
Tom Brady. The guy exception not the rule. That's correct,
you know.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
We but we say that.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
But think about with Peyton. We just made the example
of Denver. He goes to Super Bowls one sets the
world on fire. Still, you could probably think back to
some other veteran guys.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
I mean, I don't know how far down the list
you want to go, as far as like what they.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Were somewhere else and then what they became somewhere else.
I just I don't see it being a long list.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Well, okay, even Alex Smith.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Alex Smith left Kansas City, which, by the way, he
got to Kansas City made them a playoff team. But
what they took the homes instead. He goes to Washington. Yeah,
he had them in before the injury for a playoffs.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
First in the division. I don't I don't see. That's
not a valid exactly what Philip rivers in Indianapolis. It's
not a value, not a valid example to me, we
need to get those, aren't Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 5 (33:23):
Kirk Cousins leaves Washington, goes to Minnesota, mix them the
playoff team.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
That's not valid. I don't I don't think that they're like.
Those aren't successful campaigns. I don't see those as successful campaigns.
They weren't dominant players. Not one of those guys you named.
There were dominant campaigns by those guys. Okay, what about
Russell Wilson in Denver. Yeah, it's not a good one.
That's not a good one either. It's not a dominant camp.

(33:50):
It was a great sale. Not exactly, it was a
great sale, you know. I mean they gave him, they
gave him office. It went so well, he's still getting
paid by them. That's how well it went. This is
such a weak discussion. I think we should go to
update with It's on.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Your definition of what you're asking for.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Like if we're talking about them making the playoffs this
year and that's the standard.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
I don't think that's the standard. I don't think that's
the standard. I think that the exception to.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
The rule is what you get super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yeah, we just gave you to the two that y'all
gave that we're legit, which are exceptions. Not the standard
is Peyton and Tom that's it, Like, I mean, it
is what it is. That's just my assessment of it.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
It doesn't mean that I'm saying what your assessment of
it has to be. I don't think necessarily making the
playoffs means that you had a successful campaign. I mean,
you made the playoffs, that's great, But I don't see
that necessarily as being a successful campaign as a starter
for different It's.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Technically year one with Rogers, right, Like, do we count
for plays last year?

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Yes? I count it. He's on the team. He played
it like this this HEAs in the year two. Hey, man,
injuries don't don't don't They do not absolve you of
of what your season is like, you got four games
in all right?

Speaker 2 (35:14):
All right?

Speaker 1 (35:14):
So was it four games?

Speaker 2 (35:15):
I thought it was one four plays?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Four plays? Right, Yeah, that was one game. Yeah, it
just happens.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
It happens, Okay, So so I guess we'll just call
it quote unquote year two.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
It is year two.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Making the playoffs is not good enough. So what do
they know?

Speaker 1 (35:33):
It's uh divisional championship. Make it to the championship round. Yeah,
they they go to a f C championship title game.
If they lose, I could care less make it to
the championship round. What what would that be? Three games? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I think that in the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Right, okay, but that'd be their third game. Yeah, lose
that one and that that's a successful campaign. I mean
what you're so you're bringing them there, You're bringing one
of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in to be
a playoff team. I don't think so. I don't buy that.
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
You brought in Tom Brady, the one longest strout in
the NFL, right.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Now, I don't care. You brought them in to do what?
To win a Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
You brought to your quote unquote one slash two depending
on how you define it.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
You ain't gonna get me off of it. I'm gonna
stay right on it. Yeah, well stand provisional Championship Round
appearance or bust for me?

Speaker 1 (38:21):

Speaker 2 (38:26):
You do not?

Speaker 4 (38:26):
All right, I'll take them be three hundred pounds. That's
messed up, like sounds like a shop elsewhere. It's a
it's a great response radio.
