for the Live in the Vineyard Country concert and she
is getting all the behind the scenes stories.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Hello everyone, this is Rachel Rekia. I'm here with Almost
Famous on the Road, a new segment of the podcast.
We're gonna do trying to catch up with some of
you are Bachelor Nation favorites on the road, and today
we're here with Kaylin in a very unwell Dean Bell
and we're here in Napa Valley.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Yes see, thanks for having us. Rachel.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Oh my gosh, thanks for coming on.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
We've been having the best time here in Napa.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Too much fun.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
I would say, Yeah, last night, I just drink a
little bit more wine than I thought I was going.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
To You're not a wine drinker. Doesn't doesn't bode well
for you.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Is there a certain color of wine that you drink
that gives you less hangovers? Like I thought white? I
thought white would have been the one.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I think organic.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I feel like red has the Is it the tannins
that give you a hangover drinking just white?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I was only drinking sav Bees all night.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Savy Bee, but if you drink organic wine, that typically
doesn't give me a hangover, or at least as bad
a one.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Well that's what I was thinking. We're drinking high quality
wine out here, nap.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
But I was like, I can be high quality not
be organic.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Though.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
We just had a couple too many SIPs. Yeah, I'm
going to have a couple more today.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I feel good though, feel great. I was drinking a
lot of water last night. Rub it in, guys, amazing.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I got back to the room last night because I
was and I was gonna work on my computer for
a little bit, and I was like, oh my gosh,
I can't see straight. I gotta go lay down.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
He went out to the living room for like five
minutes and then came back five minutes later, like I can't,
I can't do it.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
I got all my files transferred, so that way I'm
set up for success today. That was my plan.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, and he led us back to the room. Yes,
he found I know the way back in the dark drunk.
I don't know how I did it. I couldn't find
my way here this morning, just.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Followed that North Star all the way to the room.
I just remember, I remember sneaking out of the gate.
Do you guys remember that part of me?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
That was funny, but like sneaking out of that little
gate right there at the front because we couldn't we.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Didn't know the co my gosh, yeah, because we didn't
know how to open the gate last night, so we
were all just like trying to squeeze through it.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
But we all made it somehow. That was funny.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Yeah, good night, Oh Dean.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, Dean has an ice pack on his head right
now because he's really hurting.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
My apologies, No, but.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
We had so much fun yesterday and we got to
see Scott McCreery, who knows Caitlin, and I'm never going
to get over that he's confirmed bachelination.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Remember it's so funny to hear like what celebrities watched
The Bachelor. I know, I know Kendall Jenner, Yeah, highly
watch Haley and Justin used to. I don't know if
they still do, because Justin knows Dean.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Justin. Let me go way back we're good friends.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You guys Instagram friends.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
He's messaged me a couple times.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, and he saw him at the growing. He saw
him at the grove and like rolled down his window
and he's like Dean ded.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
I turned around and I was like, what is that
just some sort of fans trying to get my attention?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
First name Justin?

Speaker 4 (03:12):
We were sticking out of the top of the center
if it was like of his like super nice? Do
you wagon?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And he used to he used to FaceTime Raven and
those contestants, right I think.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
So, Yeah, him and Likedlo were pretty close or something,
good friends or something like that.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Oh my gosh, it needs to be on that season.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I know I'm a couple of years late. I've been
friends with Justin Bieber Yahnic. But no, there was a
lot of good people playing last night. I'm excited for
the concert tonight. Yes, and oh, we thought we saw
one of my axes at the concert last night.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Well you thought you saw one of your ex I.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Literally thought I saw a ghost.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
I went into full panic because you know when you
see people on these like bachelor trips, and you just
assume you're going to run into an ex. But seeing
one in the wild when you don't think you're going
to see them. It just scares me and I think
that's the first time I think I've seen an ex
out in the wild.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
But it ended up not being him.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
I was one hundred percent convinced that Jordan V from
My Season and Paradise was in the crowd, and I
was so mad because I'm like, he's really not gonna
come up and say anything.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Because you're a stage. He knows, he knows you're there.
You were on stage, so for sure is aware of
your presence.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
No, and that's I'm like, oh my gosh, he's just
gonna go to the back and I'm pulling up pictures
of him on Google and showing everyone.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I'm like, no, that's one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
So I send Dean to go investigate and he he
goes right up to him, and what did he say?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
He's like they was like, hey, are you Jordan by
any chance? He goes, no, my name is Owen and
this is my fiance and I was like, oh, okay,
never mind.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Sorry, he just walked away like that.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
I was like, oh, I like hit myself in the head.
I was like, oh, man, you look so familiar. I'm
so sorry about it, and then.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
You play it off so oh well. The funny thing
about Dean is if he's had a couple of drinks,
you can kind of convince him to do anything.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah. Absolutely. It's probably one of my favorite qualities about myself.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I too, what's the craziest thing you've ever done?

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Oh, there's nothing that crazy, but I doubt that. I
doubt that, saying with Kaylin, though Kaylen jumped into a
freezing cold pool once when she was drunk.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
You can get me to do a lot when I'm drunk, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Which is shocking because you're like kind of a little
scaredy cat when you're sober.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yeah. I think one of the craziest things he did,
I don't know what the it's on has gotten. Someone
dared him to get an Instagram tattoo while he was drunk,
and he did it.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I did Instagram tattoo. Yeah, what your handle?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Just like the Insta level with.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
The little circle in it.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I see it.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yeah, it's there. I was getting a tattoo. Who are
you in Indonesia? And I like texted my friend. I
was like, Hey, I'm getting the Shaka tattoo that we've
always talked about, and he sends me a picture of
the Instagram logan. He's like, you won't And then.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I was like, did you get Shota that night too?
Or no?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah I got Shoka that night too. Yeah, but well, yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
That's another long time, that crazy story to that that.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Doesn't really matter. But yes, I all I need is
a little bit of a motivation, someone to dare me
to do something. Yeah, pretty much do anything.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Well, to think of something fun tonight after we have
a couple of SIPs.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
I think I'm going to stay sober today. Last night
was your chance to get me to do something stupid.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
But completely sober and Napa Valley.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Well, I hadn't. It's my first time drinking in like
five days.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You just said you were hung overcoming here what you
just said?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
You were hung?

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Right? That was Thursday night, and then now today is Wednesday.
Today's Wednesday. So I didn't drink till Tuesday. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, tuesdays.
Five days, okay, five days sober.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
I'm proud of you. Thank you myself. That's impressive.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
It's hard to because an organ Kalen was drinking wine.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Every night I had a glass of wine.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
And they were like, you know, it was open bar at.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
This because Okay, so we like basically travel all the time,
and so I was saying, like, we won't drink unless
we're traveling, but then we were traveling so much and
more than we were home. Yeah, so it's tricky now
it's like do we only when do we drink? It
is never.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
It's so nice, especially when we're traveling and you wake
up like sober and refreshed and like not hungover. It's
just such a good feeling.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, that's kind of been our new thing traveling is
not drinking, and it's so much better. We were in
Aruba and normally I get bloated, like in five seconds,
don't want to be in a swim suit from the alcohol.
And so in Aruba we didn't. We drank the last
night and that was it and we felt so good, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
So good. And in Japan we didn't drink it all.
We got to eat more food and feel better.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yeah. I'm not really much of a drinker, but it's
hard when you go to a place like Napa and
you're expected to drink.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
The difference between you and me is like you can
go to dinner and have one glass of wine and
then be good. If I have like a beer, I'm like,
I gotta have five more now.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, we're different in that way.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
I think I've got the alcoholic gene in me. I
just can't stop after one. I'm like, what's what's the
point of one? If I'm not going to have ten?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
You're just not good. It's not even like alcohol. You're
just not at it, like knowing when and how to
say no. Like you over will like stuff yourself and
you're like, oh I'm sick, you know.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah, like pizza.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, so you have an addictive like personality.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I don't think so, but I do sometimes. I guess
that's probably good way to describe it.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, you just indulge yourself.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Well, if it's there, I just hate wasting things. So
if I order a large pizza.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I got every last bite or at least trying my hardest,
because I'm not a quitter. So it's not that you're
an alcoholic, you're just an indulger.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Well, I don't think I'm an alcoholic. I'm just saying
that the gene resides in me somewhere.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
We are not therapist on this podcast or medical professionals.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I don't think it's an alcoholic gene. I think it's
just the indulgent Yeah, and you.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
Well, do you think my dad had an alcohol problem?
So maybe I should probably nip that in the bud.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
But you don't have a problem.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I don't. That's what I'm saying. I'm saying he did,
and I it probably predisposed to have the same problem
if I I don't check myself occasionally.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
No more of that, Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
I feel like yesterday I need at least a couple
of classes of wine to get up and present. I
feel like that just never gets easier for me because
we had to go up and like present all these artists,
and I feel like I just get so nervous, like
in front of a crowd like that. Did you guys
feel that way? No, He's like, it's super easy.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I normally would, but I don't know. It just felt
so casual last night. It was super casual, Like it
felt like a very small crowd. Just easy.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I've always thought when like in college, when you need
to give presentations in front of the class and you
can always get really nervous for it. No, I always
terrified of it. But when I was like a senior,
I started to realize when other people are giving a presentation,
I'm paying zero percent attention and so like when I'm presenting,
I'm sure they're all giving me that same grace is
not paying attention at all. So I'm like, no one
really cares if I mess up or if I stutter,
or if I do anything bad, because like it's not

(09:49):
going to change anything. And what I was thinking yesterday too,
is like no one cares about the presenter of a
musical act. They only care about the musical act. So
it's like whatever, I.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Guess I think about that too, Like when someone's on
stage giving a presentation, whatever it is, I'm like, most
of us aren't paying attention at all, especially.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
In class when they're presenting on a topic like I
could look thinking about.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
A million other things.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, I feel like last night they were like, oh,
is anyone here watching The Bachelor? No one said at anything,
and we're just like okay. Like then when you guys
went out, then they like everyone like realized they remembered
The Bachelor again.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
It was well, I don't know, credit to Bobby because
she was trying to hook you up. With a single
guy in the crowd.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Okay, can we talk about that?

Speaker 3 (10:30):
My card literally said she tried to find love three
times and failed basically, and she's.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Still looking for love.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
And so the presenter before us, she was like, is
anyone here single? Not one person?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
No one, Not one person said a word.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
And then I just went up on stage after like,
hi everyone, So your next act is Ronnie.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
You didn't get it there, though, I think thank you.
I think the crowd just needed to be loosened up
a little bit. Y.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Yeah, a couple. Seriously, they were a little tight.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Especially Jordan v Man. He's pretending to be someone else,
pretending to be someone else just to get out of
whatever we're trying to get him into. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
We didn't want his girlfriend, his fiance to know he
was on the show, right, it's all up front.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Jordan b we we know exposed.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
He's gonna listen to this.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
I feel like, or are you going after this? Rachel?
After NAPA? What are you doing?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Oh? Me and Caitlin have a day plan.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
No, No, after NAPA, like after tomorrow, Oh.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Tomorrow, I'm going back to LA Yeah, yeah, I'm back
to my bed.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Do you have any travel plans coming up.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
I don't, and I'm actually kind of excited to not
be going somewhere really really quickly out.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Don't you have like a cat or something?

Speaker 1 (11:54):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Oh you don't have a cat.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
No, that's not me, that's someone else.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Do you have a roommate?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I live with Jenny.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Oh nice?

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah, Yeah, I love John. We have so much fun.
But she also is never home, so we're both kind
of just like.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
I've randomly bumped into Genevieve out in LA a few times,
but I don't think I've ever randomly bumped into you
out in LA.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Because I don't go out. Oh gotcha inside of my apartment.
That makes sense, But you know, I try. I try
to get out there so I can meet someone in
the wild.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
But is Genevieve dating anyone?

Speaker 3 (12:24):
She's not either, really, we're both just in our not
dating phase. Single girl era, single girl in La.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, not too much fun at all. Yeah, but fingers crossed.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
You're going to get into a relationship and you're going
to remember the single days.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Fondly, That's what everyone says.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
But I've been in the single girl days for a while,
so I'm just hoping that's true.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Remind me what happened to you on Paradise because I
remember you were weren't was it Jordan that you were dating?

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I dated everyone on Paradise.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah, I just think it was really like too close
to my season.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yeah, who was the last person you dated? I don't
remember how Tanner? And then what happened with him?

Speaker 3 (13:05):
He dated, We had this like roast and then he
went out there and he was like, when we heard
we were getting a bachelorette, we all were hoping it
was Gabby. And I ran into him at af R
sitting next to Gabby. Oh wow, and he was like, oh,
nice to meet you. I'm like, oh, remember the bachelorette
that like you wanted on balls and she was sitting
next to Robbie, her girlfriend, And I'm like, I don't

(13:25):
know that roast.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
I remember being I remember getting like really mean. Everyone's
being really mean to each other's.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Boys are always mean, and it was worse in person,
Like it was so much more.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
They like edited than most of it out.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Well, yeah, because in person you usually like they'll talk
about each person. So each boy went up and talked
so much shit about all the girls and especially the
girls they were dating. I'm like, first of all, why
are we doing a roast? Yeah, a couple of days
before proposals.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
That's another story.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
But like all the boys trying to get into like
hot water, that close to making a decision.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
But they never think, like supposed to be funny, Like
if you're mean, at least be funny, and they were.
None of them are even funny.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Would you mean would you roast me?

Speaker 4 (14:07):
I would roast Have you ever seen Andy Samberg's roast? No,
he's so funny. He like roasts you guys have to
watch it after this, he like because you know, like
the roast. I think it was a roast of James
Franco or something like that. And he goes around and
roast everyone and he's like talking about he like roasts
himself while roasting them, and it's just like the funniest

(14:27):
thing ever.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
I like that self deprecating humor.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Yeah, he's so.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
I got invited to Tom Brady's host roast. Host. I
got invited to Tom Brady's roast last night.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Yeah, but don't you have to post something?

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Yeah? I think you should do it.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Right if you so random coming from you, like you
put something on Instagram roasting Tom Brady, People like, what
the fuck is there wrong with?

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Completely out of context, Like you're just tapping through your
stories and one is Calin just roasting Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Then it's normal.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah, hilarious.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I want to see you do it.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Sounds like a fever dream or something.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yeah, it would be a fun I would love to
go to one of those roasts. They're always so good.
Justin Bieber's was my favorite. I did see that one.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, who else had a good one? Well? Anyways, they're
better than whatever happened to Yea, that's the main point.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
But that was an interesting season. It was just so stupid, like, yeah,
looking back, not honestly together. It felt like such a
waste because no one's together.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Yeah, I think it's not one couple together.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
From that, no, they broke up within like weeks.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
I think we're just getting to the point too where
I think this season of Paradise before mine, everyone was
still really open to going there and meeting people and
doing it like organically. Of course, there's always like the DMS,
but this season it felt so everyone knew what they
were doing before they went down, and if you didn't know, you.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Were just like out of the loop. Oh, it's a lame.
I hate that.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I think maybe taking a break or the rumor of
them taking a break is probably a good thing, and like.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Said it, and maybe they can find a new way
to do it. Yeah, because I think it is getting
a little bit too Maybe it just like go like
deep into random people, so no one knows who's going
down and so no one can like make a plan.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
And if you are caught talking to another person, you
don't go, oh, just cut them off. Yeah, it's like
we've got enough people.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Or even that, Like it's all girls, usually from the
season before, and they're all so close. And I remember
talking to some of the girls and they would be like, well,
I'm really interested and so and so, but my friend
likes him, so I can't or like he's my friend's
number one guy or my number two guy. I'm like,
what are we like supposed to be playing a game here,
like right? And I think it was just a little

(16:39):
too Like people didn't want to step on toes, people
didn't want to like look stupid where I think that's
like the beauty of it is like taking chances and
looking dumb. Yeah, and I feel like maybe that's why
this season.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Fell really really flat, and everyone's just like so scared
to make a mistake on TV, and it's so boring,
and I feel like it's such a new thing.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Like on my season Abash, our girls are just running
around screaming and like no one cared. Yeah, and now
it's like it's very like the awareness of it that
I think is making it not as fun.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
That's why I think they need to go in deep
seasons where people like just don't give a crap. Agreed,
Like Lace Morris was great. Lace is such good TV.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yeah, and on that season, I feel like she brought
a different element because she just was like saying whatever
was on her mind, right, and Kat was, I guess
well in her own way trying to do it. In
our season, they were just annihilating her online. I'm like,
m she's on reality television.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
We're watching because there would be nothing else to watch
if Kat wasn't here.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Genuinely, Yeah, her and Live they just like had the
commentary when no one else wanted to say anything wrong.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah, I'm bummed that there's no Paradise this season, but
hopefully it comes back.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
But that's not confirmed, is it? I thought it was.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Rumors, rumor, but it's like pretty confirmed rumor, confirmed rumor.
I don't know anyone that's like going normally by.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
No, we would know.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Yeah, that's a really good point.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah, like friends who are going down again? And I
heard anything right, but fingers crossed they bring it back.
I heard someone online said like we should bring back
Winter Games, and I think that would be so fun.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
I want them to bring in like a sorry, this
is going to exclude you, like a couples show where
they bringing the couples and the couples like compete in
some aspects.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yes, we pitched it to one of the one of
the people from the show and she's like, I love this.
I'm gonna get a raise. No word has come from it.
But Bachelor Pad was so successful, so why don't you
Bachelor Pad of couples and like we're all competing. Would
be so fun, and then bring some singles. I'll host
with just not to.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Message no no no, but just to like, you know,
bring in a bunch of couples and then bring in
some singles. So maybe the same up. Yeah, exactly, all right.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
I think that's a great idea.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I'm so invested in like the couples, and I feel
like once we're on the show, you like never really
see them again unless it's like on Instagram. Yeah, like
I want to see on Thomas again. Right, great in that.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
They're kind of flubbing with not using their successful couples
because there are so many.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Yeah, major flubbage.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
So hello, if you're.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Out there listening, Hello Bachelor the people when they want Yeah,
I want games and fun games.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
We need like Survivor with couples or something Traders with couples,
sign me up.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
So we've been having the best time in Napa, so
excited to have fun the rest of the trip and
I'm really excited hopefully we can continue this segment going
on the road catching up with more people from Bachelor Nation.
So tune in and thanks for listening, and thanks for
coming on you guys, thanks for having us.
