It is Sunny one oh six pointfive, the best variety of the eighties
and nineties, and today Sunny Morningswith Joanna and Sean. Now, every
couple of weeks, there's a bigsales meeting in our office that Joanna and
I both have to attend, right, Joanna, Right, So it's like
a brainstorming session. We talk aboutideas and promotions, and sometimes these meetings

(00:22):
can get a little bit long. But I particularly enjoy two people on our
sales team who are constantly kind ofbattling with one another, and right,
one of them, Joanna, youmight know, I'm not going to say
their names because we want to protectthem at this point, but one of
them is always trying to be thesmartest person in the room, right,
and then the other person has tobe the funniest. And just to watch

(00:43):
their dynamic in these meetings, italmost makes going to these meetings worth it,
you know, right, like thebattle of funny verse smart and who
will win in this week's meeting.Yeah, I feel like I know exactly
who you are talking about here, and you know what, I feel like
a lot of offices probably have thatdynamic. So if you want to chime

(01:04):
in, on this topic. Youcan give us a call or leave us
a talkback message if you're streaming usto the iHeartRadio app, and let us
know would you rather be the funniestor smartest person in the room? Now?
For me, I like to laylow in all meetings just because I
want to get in and out asfast as possible. I contribute when I
need to. I don't need toadd all the fluff into it right in

(01:26):
and out, in and out.But for me, if I had to
pick and I had to have attentionspotlighted on me, I think I would
choose to be the funniest because everybodyloves the funny person, right Like the
funny person boosts the morale. Everybodywants to include the funny person in activities

(01:47):
and things. And yeah, Ilike to be the person that puts a
smile on somebody's face. So Ithink I would choose the funniest person.
I'm a I'm actually going to agreewith you on that because I'm frankly,
first of all, we put itthis way, I've never been the smartest
person in the room, so I'mnot I'm frankly not going to try to
be. And I think what Ido is oftentimes I try to pull the

(02:07):
George cause Stanza from Seinfeld where Ileave on a high note, right,
Like, people remember, oh,man Sean had that really funny one liner
during the meeting, right and thenand then it's like, oh, everyone
thinks really highly of Sean. Sothat's I prefer to be the funniest person
in the room too, because Ithink oftentimes just trying to look better than
other people doesn't come across very well. Right, So we got we got

(02:30):
a few messages here on the talkbag Mike already about would you rather be
the funniest or smartest person in theroom? This this is from Marcy.
I would want to be the funniestperson in the room because smart doesn't get
any respect around here? Ain't thatthe truth? In a lot of different
workplaces, smart gets no respect.Yeah, people, people are almost more

(02:51):
judge of the smartest person. Right. Let's move on to Nick here on
the talk bag, Mike, funniestor smartest in the room? I'd rather
be the funniest person in the roombecause I would rather make people laugh and
have a good time than to tryto impress them with my intellect. Wow,
all right, back to back.People want to be funny, no
one wants to be smart. Idon't know if that if that's a good

(03:12):
or bad thing. Honestly, Idon't know. I feel like there's a
lot of pressure. If you're knownto be the smartest person, then like
people always are going to have torely on you. It's too much pressure.
Right, let's wrap up here withMarion on the talk bag. Mike,
I would definitely want to be thesmartest person in the room, because
once you're the smartest person in theroom, everybody trusts you, and then
they ask you for advice, andthen you can charge them and you make

(03:32):
more money and you buy a biggerhouse and go on vacations. Okay,
Well, the way she puts it, it makes being the smartest person in
that room sound pretty glamorous. Anythingthat's just too much planning for me.
There too much planning and too muchpressure. Agreed. Agreed. If you
want to chime in on this,I'll throw the question up on Facebook and
you can message on Instagram at Sundaymornings one O six Vibe
