Carolyn? I did it. Idid it. I successfully installed a backup

(00:21):
camera in my daughter's car. Youdid it? Yeah? Wow. I
sent you a picture as proof.I thought that was you in the moment
of I didn't realize that was acompleted job. So way to go.
It's done. Way to go,by all accounts. It works by all
accountkay, by all accounts. Itmakes me a little bit nervous. We

(00:41):
talked about this last week that Courtwas going to be installing this backup camera,
and there were several listeners that calledin and said, Court, maybe
you should leave it to the professionals. But you powered through and it was
a pretty pretty simple job. Okay. I kind of felt, okay,
okay, well, we'll wait start. Let's wait to hear how your daughter

(01:02):
feels to day after our first daywith that. That's right. How was
your weekend, Carolyn? It wasgood, Thank you. I was outdoors
a lot this weekend up in Sacramentowith the Giants, San Francisco Giants minor
league team the River Cats announcing forthem. And I have to say,
being outdoors that much my allergies, and I know a lot of people are
suffering from allergies right now. Springis in the air. Spring has sprung

(01:23):
for sure. We hope you hada great weekend. You can reach us
at eight seven seven nine, eightone, nine eight one. This morning
on the show, be here ateight twenty five. We have a chance
for you to win tickets to seeJustin Timberlake May seventh, the SAP Center
in San Jose. He's coming totown. So be here at eight twenty
five if you want Justin Timberlake tickets. Also be here at six twenty five

(01:45):
because the morning breeze brain Teas onthe way. You're ready for this,
Carolyn, Yes. Eighty percent ofmarried people say they don't trust their spouse
to do this one simple thing forthem. Is it a backup camera and
a car? No? No,the obvious. Eighty percent of married people
say they don't trust their spouse todo this one simple thing for them,
not a backup camera? What isit? Okay, I'll tell you.

(02:06):
It's six twenty five. Here inthe Morning Breeze at Earth Breeze some smoky
Robinson for your Monday morning. Thatfeels good. Six twenty six, it's
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's time for our morning Breeze brain
teas. We do this every weekdaymorning. At six twenty five, we
do it again at eight. Fortyeighty percent of married people say they don't

(02:27):
trust their spouse to do this onesimple thing for them. Okay, an,
he guesses Carolyn, I'm thinking it'sgrocery shop. Grocery shop. Yeah,
you know, it's one of thosethings where I give you a list,
you go to the store, youalways come back. I'm not saying
you. I'm not saying you.Kind of feels like you're saying me.
The other person comes home with thingsI didn't ask were and missing things that

(02:52):
I did want. I think groceryshopping is a pretty good guest, because
you just described the relationship I havewith my wife, Okay, because I
try to do as much of theshopping is possible, and there's sometimes where
my wife is just like, no, this is way too important. I'm
going to go do it. Okay, so what but it is not It
is not grocery shopping. It's wakethem up. Eighty percent of married people
say they don't trust their spouse towake them up. Well, then who

(03:14):
do you trust? Who else isnext to you in the morning besides your
alarm clock. Why are you expectingyour spouse to wake you up? I
don't that's the part of this.I don't understand. That's a good question
as well. I mean waking up. It's important to get up on time.
Whenever you need to get up,think about it. If you have
put it in someone else's hands, yes, And if you have to wake
up earlier than your spouse, you'reyou're basically asking them to wake up before

(03:36):
you to make sure you're awake.Could you ever do that to Randy?
Can you with our hours? Iwould like you to record that, please
on video and let me know howthat works out before. There are times
where we'll ask each other, hey, could you make sure? But not
for like we're waking up. We'rewaking up way early. Yeah, I've
actually shifted to I have an inaudiblealarm I watch actually vibrates to wake me

(03:58):
up. That way, my wifedoesn't to hear it at all. That's
smart. Before that thing would.I always felt bad because then it's a
double you both wake up, bothwake up, and my wife is pretty
similar to you, and that onceshe's awake, she has a hard time
going back sleep. Yeah, Ican't. I can't believe that that number
is eighty percent. That eighty percentof people are relying on somebody else to

(04:19):
wake them up. That's pretty crazy. Yeah. Well, and in this
case, eighty percent said they don'ttrust their spouse. It's too important because
it alway, what is this evena question to begin with? Exactly?
It also shows how long it's beensince I've been in a relationship. I'm
like, what's that like? We'reat eight seven seven nine eight one,
nine eight one. You could alwaysconnect with us our iHeartRadio app that talkback

(04:42):

(05:24):
Carolyn and Court, and it's timefor the Brighter Side, sponsored by Shreeven
Company, Luxury time pieces, findDesigners and Flawless Diamonds. We want to
know what's happening in your life that'sgood, that makes you smile, that
you're excited about, that you're lookingforward to. Maybe something over the weekend
happened that you really enjoyed. We'dlove to hear from me at eight seven
seven nine to eight one oh nineeight one. Larry in San Francisco tell

(05:48):
us your Brighter Side. Well,so I was just listening to your station,
and you know the day's good thingsare happening in life. You know,
I was incarcerated and you know whatI've been up for about going on
four months now. No, I'vegot I've gotten a job as like a
case manager for a non profit organizationto house you that you know, are

(06:10):
homeless that are going to school. So definitely from the big major that's happened
in life. Why for you?How long were you incarcerated for? Three
months? Three months? Yeah? How's that feel to be out and have
kind of a clean start. Oh, it feels amazing. You know,
I've been through a rough life andI feel like, you know, it's

(06:31):
just you know, one foot infront of the other and you're sharing a
perspective that I think, you know, obviously for the people you're you're talking
to, you can help them outand kind of see, Yeah, there's
different ways to go about things, like you have the power to change people's
lives now, Yes, definitely, and you know it's a blessing to be
able to do that, you know, and to have walked a lot that

(06:55):
some people have not and you know, and being able to see through their
eyes. You for I've been homewith myself and I've gone through a lot
of things and being able to say, you know what, I've been there
and I know how you feel definitelyis a blessing and it really makes me
fit for this field time in.Yeah, you have a sympathy and an
empathy that many of us just wecan't connect with your experiences because we haven't

(07:17):
lived that way. Right. Wereally appreciate you calling because I think your
perspective is important for people to hear. You know, people have been incarcerated.
Why when they get out of prison, you know, we kind of
never know what happens and what's goingthrough your minds, And so I appreciate
you calling and being so open withus and sharing this. Thank you and
way to go on, you know, making the world a better place and

(07:40):
having this changed mindset to sure,I really enjoy this, all right,
keep going, Larry, Yeah,Larry is doing such good things. Recidivism.
I'm using a big word here forwhich is the tendency to reoffend when
people come out of incarceration. Oh, thank you for explaining that, to
make sure. I really appreciate that. I learned it myself tennis years ago,

(08:01):
speaking ten years ago, speaking topeople who came out of out of
jail in prison seriously, and it'softentimes those people that are able to help
people from reoffending again. It's absolutelyhaving that perspective is something I just I
can't relate with. No. Ilove that he is taking that experience and
using it for the greater good andtrying to change lives. So Larry's super

(08:24):
good on you, proud of you. Yeah, and thank you for sharing
if you have a brighter side forus eight seven seven nine, eight one
oh nine eight one. We areso excited to be able to tell you
that coming up at eight twenty fivethis morning, this guy come into the
Bay Era. Oh yeah, onejustin Timberlake shortly, yes, JT.
He's going to be at the SAPCenter San Jose next Tuesday, May seventh,

(08:48):
and we've got your ticket hookup,So be here eight twenty five,
your first chance to win of theweek. Here on the Morning Breeze.
The Bay's number one for relaxing favoritesfor your morning ninety eight point one The
Breeze, The Morning Breeze. It'sCarolyn in court seven twenty four and I
think it was last week court youbrought up the fact that your daughter Sloan
doesn't have a backup camera on hercar and you were going to do the

(09:11):
installation over the weekend. Yeah, she can back up find using her mirrors.
But I mean the future is backupcameras. Yeah, all cars pretty
much are coming with them standard, which I totally agree with. It's a
great tool to have in your vehicle. What I was a little leery of
was the fact that, again yousaid you were going to do the install
yourself, and Court, you aregreat, huh, But I don't fancy

(09:35):
you as any sort of car technicians. Obviously you don't know me that well,
apparently I don't, because you didit over the weekend. And I
should also say I had backup onthis because our listeners also called and said,
don't mess with that. Of allthings, Court, but you did
it. I showed all of y'allyou did it, and I properly installed
a backup camera. I know.We have a picture by the way on

(09:56):
our Facebook page ninety eight one ofthe Breeze if you want to check that
out. But you did it.Was it dificult, No, it was.
It was surprisingly easy. I watchedabout thirty YouTube videos, yeah,
and then zeroed in on a coupleof them that I really liked and just
watched them over and over again. And I knocked it out of the park.
Bert is listening to us and SanMateo. Hi, good morning,
Bert. Court. I had aquestion. What brand was your backup camera?

(10:18):
Oh, you know, I'd haveto go look it up. The
one I installed was the one thatcame with the head unit, so it
was like plz. Oh, okay, there's a bunch of highly rated ones
that are pretty inexpensive on Amazon thatI found thirty or you could just pay
Court and he could come over.Apparently he's an expert. Yeah, I'll
walk you through it. I mean, he really does sound like he's talking

(10:41):
to talk now that the camera. It was surprisingly easy. Oh that's good,
okay. I love listening to youguys. Thanks, have a good
day, you too, Bert,Bye bye. I love how Bert's like,
yeah, that's great. All right, Well, hey you guys have
a good day. I'm going tohead on out. I offer it to
Bert for free my services. Butand that's why Burt hung up because he

(11:03):
probably felt like that was coming thecourt. We are very happy for you.
I did have a few people askingme why I didn't film myself doing
it, and it was mainly becauseI've never had never done it before,
and I didn't want to embarrass myselfby posting that. One now films themselves.
I mean, you're going to putit on YouTube, yes, but

(11:24):
he would watch that besides Burt,I don't know. I debated filming it,
but and the story just got better. Go so I can go back
and see where I messed up exactlywhen Sloan calls you to danceys my backup
cameras working dad eight seven seven nineeight one oh nine eight one. I'm
wondering, though, you know, because you said you watched a lot of

(11:46):
YouTube videos, what people have learnedto do? Oh, I've so many
things if you can, if youcan think it. There's a YouTube video
about guarantee. I put a aIs it a speedometer on my bike?
Or is it an O dometer speedometer? I think, well, is it?
Are you tracking speed or are miles? God? Then then it's both.
Okay. I did one of thoseon my bike and it was YouTube

(12:07):
video that showed me how to doit. So you eight seven seven nine
eight one nine eight one, oruse our iHeartRadio app the talkback mike if
that's easier for you, then youcan send that message whenever it's convenient for
you. And here's something you donot need YouTube for a chance to win,

(12:50):
You sit down, if you're havinga bad day, you turn any of
these five shows on. Can Itake it? Can I take a guess?

on this list. Not on thelist. Okay, in order, it's
on the list. Gray's Anatomy,Okay, Modern Family Friends, Gilmore Girls,
and then this is a weird addition, I get it, but I
don't Fresh Prince of bel Air.Actually, that one, to me,

(13:31):
it is a great show. Thatone, to me makes more sense because
you need to do the Carlton Yeah. Yeah, yeah, well just that
that whole show is great. Thatwould make sense more sense to me than
Gray's Anatomy. That's not a feelgood show, I know. Isn't that
weird? That makes me nervous? You know what though? No, when
I go visit my mom at herassisted living facility, her friend Anne,

(13:52):
it's like her bff in the everyday, Anne watches Gray's Anatomy and tells
me about it. Hey, youknow, I love Gray's Anatomy every day.
I'm like, yep, very familiar. Anyway, do you have a
show that is your go to show? If you're kind of not the greatest
mood, you turn the show oninstant good mood? Well again, I
mentioned Ted Lasso. Yeah, isnumber one for me. Okay, number

(14:13):
two would probably be The Office.Oh that's a good one too, Yeah,
Seinfeld would go in there. Yeah. Really, I've been kind of
I started watching it when it firstcame out, and then I went away,
but I've circled back to it Brooklynninety nine. It's just kind of
silly, dumb, good show aswell, Yeah, yeah, what about
you? Uh? Top for mewould be Golden Girls, Oh sure,

(14:35):
yeah that show. Oh I know, thank you and Seinfeld for me and
The Office as well. Yeah, not trying to steal from you, but
they're just good shows. Honorable mentionfor me would probably go to mash just
because that's comfort television television, eventhough I know it's set in wartime and
they deal with some heavy stuff.Well Anne at my mom's assisted living to
her point of Gray's Anatomy. See, it's a go too, I guess.

(14:58):
