The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breezeon demand. It's lehne rhyme sixh eight.
Good Morning, Happy Friday. Itis the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and
Court. Good Morning, Happy Friday, Happy Friday. Did you hear that
the Bay Bridge lights have been saved? That's I heard this yesterday. Yeah.
I don't know all the details, but I saw the headline and thought

(00:22):
that's great. So the lights onthe Bay Bridge, as you probably remember,
March of last year, they wentdark because the company that operates the
lights said, we don't have enoughmoney to keep fixing the bulbs as they
go out, so they had toraise The goal is eleven million dollars,
which, by the way is cuckoobananas. But they had to raise eleven
million dollars for these lights. Ifwe want to back on, you gotta

(00:43):
donate. Well, they're to tenmillion dollars. Now, okay, they
have raised ten million dollars, andso they said we need eleven million.
But the fact that we're at ten, we feel like we can come out
now and say close enough that wecan say this this is gonna happen.
We're gonna hit the goal. Sothey target March of twenty twenty five.
As to when we will see thelights back on the bridge, my understanding

(01:07):
is I was reading a few weeksago about the fundraising on all this is
Their intent is they're going to doublethe number of lights on the bridge because
they're switching to LED. Oh,and they're going to double the number of
lights so that no matter where youare looking at it, it's going to
have a very cool effect. Soit's going to look even better or different
than what you might even because I'venever experienced the Bay Bridge with lights on

(01:27):
it, I'm that's true time. It's before you moved here. I'm just
anxious to see what eleven million dollarsof lights looks like in March next year.
Take a look at my neighbor downthe street. I feel like you
spend about eleven million dollars on ChristmasChristmas lights. So he's one of those
houses. Yep. So we're ateight seven seven nine eight one nine eight

(01:49):
one. We have justin Timberlake ticketsfor you today. He's going to be
at the SAP Center in San Joseon Tuesday. You have a chance to
win tickets to that show, Sobe here at eight twenty five five for
your chance to win, and behere at six twenty five moments from now
for the Morning Breeze brain Tease.Ready for this, Karen, I know
I'm excited, all right. Aboutten percent of adults insist they have never

(02:12):
done this. That's gonna be atough one. Ten percent of adults insist
they have never done this. Allright, if you think you know the
answer eight seven seven nine eight onenine eight one, and Court will give
us the answer at six twenty five. Here on the Breeze Erez. It's
otis Redding six twenty five. Itis the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court

(02:34):
every weekday morning at six twenty fiveand again at eight point forty, we
bring you the Morning Breeze brain teas. That's right, About ten percent of
adults insist they have never done this. Ramona in San Jose reached out and
suggested that it's stolen something from theoffice, and she specifically wanted us to
make note that we're talking post itsand pens, not office supplies. Yeah,

(02:57):
so not monitors. They stolen takentaken things to the office. You
had it, like, you know, you had some post its and you're
like, I need these at home. Yeah, and I could see that
that ten percent insists they never have, which means ninety percent have pretty good
guess. I've never have not what? Oh, come on, that is
not the answer, but a prettygreat what is guess? Romo googled themselves?

(03:20):
Ten percent of adults insist that theyhave never googled themselves? Have you
Googled yourself? I did it thismorning? You did? I'm still not
in that top spot. Oh,Court, you need to. There's another
Court Johnson down in Phoenix, Arizona. He's a really smart man, very
handsome. Is he is? Hea good looking dude. He's a good
looking dude. He runs this nonprofitand he's got this great blog, and

(03:44):
he's in the top spot. Hesounds like a catch, and I'm not
in the second spot. Would itbe weird if I dated another Court Johnson.
I've never met him, so Idon't know how to make the connection.
I've been meaning to get to Arizona. What about you? Have you
ever Googled yourself? I have, but not recently. Okay, but now
I feel like I need to.After that, I think it's important for
everybody to google themselves. Hey,it's not a vanity thing. Why do

(04:06):
you think it is? Find outwhat's up there, because oftentimes you'll see
that your name might be listed withyour address and your your private phone number.
Oh good, I'm glad we're discussingthis on the air. That's good.
I'm just saying it's important for peopleto do this every now and then
see what's out there and see whatbecause a lot of times you can go
to those websites and ask them totake it down. Oh you can,

(04:26):
yes, I didn't know that.Yeah, boy, that's why I google
myself. What a lesson this hasbeen. Who knew that the morning Breeze
Brain Teas would turn into an educationalforum on Friday? Well, PSA for
you, Thank you, Court. And if anybody catches you googling yourself,
even if it's for vanity sake, you'd be like, no, no,
no, I need to make surethat my private information is not that they're
on the web. I need totake care of my security, all right,

(04:47):
exactly right. We do this everyweekday morning at six twenty five.
Again at eight forty. You canreach us at eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one. Heck, maybe somebody's googled themselves and found out
something right. They didn't expect whatYeah. Also coming up at eight twenty
five this morning, it's another chancefor you to win those tickets to go

(05:09):
see Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake hasprobably googled himself three times this morning.
I'm sure it is right now. He's coming to the SAP Center in San
Jose May seventh, that's next Tuesday, and we would like to send you
for free, So be here eighttwenty five or ten to win on the
Breeze. It's Madonna at seven osix. You've got the Morning Breeze with

(05:30):
Carolyn and Court and it's time rightnow, Carolyn for the Morning Breeze Person
of the Week. It is Thisis somebody in the Bay Area going above
and beyond. And I gotta say, we've got another mail carrier, two
mail carriers. We've had two nailsalon technicians and two mail carriers. So
Lydia made the nomination this week forRico, her mail carrier. Let's try

(05:51):
and call Lydia first. Hello,Lydia, It's Carolyn and Cord from the
Morning Breeze. So we're calling aboutthe Morning Breeze Person of the Week.
Tell us about Rico. He isalways on time. He doesn't miss unless

(06:11):
it's a day off or something likethat. And he's really good about,
you know, asking people. Infact, the end of the day,
one of my neighbors wheel chairs justran down the driveway and he stopped his
chuck and stopped and got him thewheelchair and asked him he needed any help.
It's just that kind of a person, you know. It goes out
of his way to do more thanwhat is expected at him. He sounds

(06:33):
like one of the mail carriers fromdays past that actually is invested in the
neighborhood and gets to know people, and people know his name exactly exactly,
and he just really goes out ofhis way. And it says a lot
when you said he sorely missed thedays that he's not there. When the
neighborhood notices their mail carrier is missing, that says a lot about that mail

(06:55):
carrier. I really, really, you don't think he's not standing per All
right, Well, we're gonna we'regonna try to give him a call and
get him on the phone with us. So hang on, okay, Hello,
Hi Rico, Rico. This isCarolyn and Court from ninety eight point
one the Breeze, and we alsohave Lydia with us on the phone.

(07:16):
Oh hi, how you doing.Lydia is one of your customers. Okay,
I know what you is. Rememberhow I tried to get your phone
number? Yes, yes, yes, yes, Oh my goodness. So
you're gonna go on a cruise aroundthe bay and have lunch there anyway,

(07:39):
So I really deserve it. Thankyou so much. I appreciate you.
She was telling us about how yougo above and beyond in your job,
and she was telling us an exampleabout there was somebody in her neighborhood whose
wheelchairs started going down the driveway andyou got out of your truck and went
over and grabbed it. All thingslike that, and also on day's Rico
when you're not there, that it'snoticeable within the neighborhood when Rico's not covering

(08:03):
them in Yeah, oh my goodness. Well I'm glad. I'm you know,
I'm able to make a difference. And definitely I just so just good
uh, just good work, workethic and you know, just provide a
good service to my customers. Ilove them all day. They bring happiness
to my day and it's a pleasureto see them every morning and and just
saying you know hi and greedy andgreedy me and just makes a day so

(08:24):
much easier. It's it's a bustingand to be recognized, it's to honor.
Thank you. I thank you fordoing that. Thank you. We
can definitely tell Rico, just bytalking with you, why Lydia nominated you
for the Morning Brieze Person of theWeek. So and as she pointed out,
we're going to send you out ona cruise. It's Bruch for two

(08:48):
Thank you, thank you, thankyou. That's honor. I appreciate
you. And thank you, Ndia. That's that's very that's very nice to
make that happen. You guys justbought tears to my eyes. I really
appreciate you doing this. Thank you, Lydia. It says a lot about
you too that you even thought tonominate Rico. I mean, that's what
the Morning Breeze Person of the Weekis all about. It's about noticing those

(09:09):
special people in your lives. Ricodoes just that awesome. I feel like
Rico's like, hey, guys, this is great, but I need to
go. I have a route tohandle. I'm like literally like pulling down
at the time. People are lookingup the window. Go why is he
on his phone? Gosh, it'sokay. We'll let you guys both go.

(09:33):
But Rico, congratulations and Lydia thankyou. I appreciate congratulations. Good
Thank you you guys. You appreciatedjob. Absolutely And if there's somebody like
Rico in your life, we wantto hear about him. Make that nomination
for the Morning Breeze Person of theWeek on our website ninety eight one The
Breeze dot com. Cool and theGang. Here at seven twenty three,

(09:54):
you've got the Morning Breeze with Carolynin Court. Like your enthusiasm. I
love that's song so much. Wereally enjoyed that behind the scenes, monitors,
did you all the way up?Did you like my uh? I
hit those high notes? I heardyou try and hit that, try to
hit those. Yes, it's Carolynand Court here on the Morning Breeze.
Court as I was polishing off aI'm going to use the word tub fair

(10:18):
to use of sour cream last night. I didn't eat the whole thing.
I was toured the end and justwent ahead and finish it. We were
eating the tub of sour cream withsomething else, with something, okay,
with something It was part of Itwas part of a bigger meal. What
a good friend you are that youcan just kind of imagine you sitting there
with a spoon. You can imaginethat helping you out here. Good to

(10:39):
know. As I was finishing offa tub of sour cream last night,
I realized, Wow, this isa food that when I was growing up,
I didn't want to get near sourcream. You didn't like you,
you didn't like what I hadn't.I didn't have sour cream for the first
time until probably my thirties or forties. What because look at words, really

(11:00):
sour cream, It sounds rocking? What's to like right now? Ever,
you can put sour cream on nearlyanything. I think you can. So
I was thinking there were so manyfoods for all of us that when you
were younger or until your later years, you thought you disliked them. Then

(11:20):
you tried them, and you thought, why did I wait so long?
Right me? It was Brussels sprouts. I think I think I heard a
kid talking about Brussels sprouts at schooland he's like, I don't like Brussels
sprouts, and I'm like, neitherdo I. Yeah, you just have
no idea because my family we didn'thave Brussels sprouts. We didn't either in
my late teens where I experienced themfor the first time where they're like sauteed

(11:43):
up and some olive oil. Yes, do you ever put brown sugar on
them? All of you when brownsugar? Put them? In the end
bacon roast them up with some baconor some panchetta. Yes, Oh gosh,
right now, so good. Iwant to bring some into the studio.
Well, see what happened, becauseyou'd have to, I know,
can't. We can't microwave. Thoseare one of those forbidden microwave break in

(12:05):
the kitchen code at work. Youcan't really do that. But yeah,
Brussels sprouts definitely one of those thingswhere I think a lot of people had
and a version just based off ofwhat other people said. I think you're
right. And we put this questionon our Facebook page of food that you
went your whole life thinking you didn'tlike until you tried it. We have
ed said bananas. Okay, imaginenot having a banana ed. We're so
sorry. Yeah, have a bananaed. But we're pretty great. You're

(12:28):
in now, Jovie said kim Chi. I still have yet to try that.
If Kimchi is on the right stuff, I enjoy it. It sounds
great. Che by itself, nothanks, And then Ray said cauliflower.
Yes, that was another one forme too. I didn't think I liked
flower. Pretty great. Yeah,so what is it for you? Join
that conversation on our Facebook page ninetyeight one of the Breeze or give us

(12:48):
a call eight seven seven nine eightone nine eight one. And this is
also a good time for you touse our iHeartRadio app to send a talkback
message that works. Yeah, youjust click on the microphone button, leave
your message. You can even previ you your message to see if you
like it or not. Yeah, maybe redo it if you feel like you
could do better. I'm not sayingyou have to, but it's been done.
Yeah. Okay, send that messageinto us here in the studio and

(13:09):
we'll get it. Coming up ateight twenty five this morning, just under
an hour from now. We've gotanother chance for you to go see justin
Timberlake Tuesday night at the SAP Centerin San Jose. It's going to be
a pretty great show. I've heard, I haven't. I've yet to see
justin Timberlake, HT is amazing incommon. Maybe I'll be there in the
front row. You will not,Okay, but somebody else next morning.

(13:31):
Oh that's true. You can goto the show eight twenty five. Be
here for those tickets. On theMorning Breeze Tears for Fears. It is
seven point forty. It's the MorningBreeze. Happy Friday morning. It's Carolyn
and Court. Court. I gotinto my car this morning to come to
work. I know this has happenedto you, or at least one of
our listeners. And it's dark atfour in the morning, and I saw

(13:56):
when I turned the headlights on inthe car, at the very bottom of
my windshield a mosquito, one singularmosquito. We've all been there. I
left the windows cracked last night. Was very hot in these bay yesterday,
very warm when that little brat gotin, and I didn't know what to
do, so I didn't want toget bit by said mosquito. And I

(14:16):
can't see it because it's mostly darkexcept the headlights and the very bottom of
the windshield. Sure, So Idrove to work today at four something in
the morning with the windows halfway down, hoping it would say bye, have
a good Friday, and I couldjust fly out on its way. And
then as I'm driving, you know, in your power of suggestion, in
your mind, I kept thinking didit bite me on my ankle? Is

(14:37):
it on my hand? Do Ifeel it on my neck? And I
spent the entire drive to work withthe windows down. I don't know.
It might be in their styles.Yeah, you need to go. You
needed to do the full rolldown.I full down, the full roll down,
Maybe swerve a little bit while you'redriving to get some airflow going through
there, kind of blow that mosquitoout. That is so something you would

(14:58):
do. Can you imagine I wouldlook It would look like a drunk driver
on the road if I did that. I've been there before. I mean,
I think a lot of people,whether it's a mosquito, sometimes a
spider. You see a spider dropdown from your your advisor. You hear
the horror stories about people crashing theirvehicles because they're trying to get a spider
out in the car. My techniquehas been, if I can do it
safely, smack it. Just tryto smack it. Yeah, that's tough.

(15:20):
So, I mean it was missThe responsible thing is you just let
that thing budge it. You justgotta let a budget well offer the consequence.
I don't think it did. ButI'm waiting for those mosquito byed showup
later, you know how. Sometimesit's a delayed reaction. And then now
when I go back out to thecar to go home, I have the
windows up right now. I don'tknow why I should have left them down.
Maybe before you head out on theroad, spend a little bit of

(15:41):
time in there, just kind ofassessing the situation. See, if you
flying around ridiculous. This is goingto look to our security guard down in
the lodge. See he's going tobe like, what is she doing in
her car? Making sure there's nounwanted passengers? Safety first, exactly.
You don't judge exactly right, Notthat he is. I just the guy.

(16:02):
We're like, stop judging. You'veheard of people who, for example,
have of crash cars because of spidersor whatnot in the car, or
even their homes. Sometimes you hearabout this, They try to light them
on fire and burn down their house. Yeah, so you had I think
you sitting in your car, assessingthe situation. You know what, if
this is the worst thing about myday, it's going to be a good

(16:22):
and it's going to be a gretday. It's going to be a good
day. But I know there arepeople that have had this happen where you
get something in your car, youcan't get it out. It turns into
a story. We want that story. Do some some sage there, you
go some stage in there. Ifeel like you weren't going to say sage,
No stage is good. I wasalso going to say, just kind
of get in there and flail yourarms around. See if you can tell

(16:42):
you what russell that mosquito out?Why don't I give you my keys and
you can go flail no no things. Mosquitoes love my blood. I get
bit all the time. We're ateight seven, seven, nine eight one.
Catch us on our iHeart radio appthat talkback Mike if you want to
send us a message, and wehave Justin Timberlake tickets on the way.

(17:03):
Yeah, catch us at eight twentyfive. It's your chance to win these
justin Timberlakes Timberlake concert tickets for hisshow May seventh, SAP Center in San
Jose. So win those tickets eighttwenty five Here on the Morning Breeze.
That is Alicia Keys. It iseight ten. You've got the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Core. Carolyn, you and I often talk about the benefits
of social media. Sometimes we delveinto some of the negative sides of it.

(17:25):
Try not to talk too much aboutthat. But I want to point
something out. What social media isruining my life? Why So every weekend
my wife gives me a honey dolist. It's you know, everybody gets
the honey do Sure, sure,Now I'm getting a honeyde list with a
TikTok or an Instagram video link thatshows me specifically what I should be doing

(17:48):
no way, case and points, yeah, case and point. Last weekend
I spent it taking apart our dicein vacuuming, vacuum and yeah cleaning.
It had to clean up very specificway okay, okay, but the TikTok
way to the TikTok way okay.It took me hours to do this thing.
Why because you had to watch thevideo over and over video to miss

(18:11):
anything, and then to actually dothe task. What would have happened had
you not watch the video and justattempted to do it on your own,
probably wouldn't have done it as well, right, liking I did. Apparently
I did it so well though thatI have received another honey do list for
this weekend with the video link withvideo links, and we have a second

(18:32):
Our second handheld vacuum is now goingto be disassembled this week, So congratulations
on becoming the vacuum guy in thefamily. It was one of those things
where you realize I probably should cleanthis vacuum more than than I have breaking
news. I didn't know you haveto clean vacuums. I thought the vacuums
did there. So it looks likeI have some videos to watch as well
breaking news. They'll last longer youclean them. Apparently good to know,

(18:55):
but like there's there's dirt everywhere inthose things, like every look everywhere.
Well, it is a vacuum, and the problem is when you wash them
and clean them, you gotta letthem drive long enough so that there's no
moisture left it up. I'm out, you just buy a new vacuum.
Yes, here's the thing. Court. It's my compliment to the chef.
Right, It's like you did sogreat, I know in cleaning this dice

(19:19):
in vacuum. It's a double edgedsword. There was part of me that
wanted to do a really bad job, and so she would never ask me
to do those. Now you've saidthat on the radio. Pride is on
the line. Now you have goals. You're trying to Hey that Court Johnson,
what is he known for cleaning avacuum? Link? Though that she
said link and that also says shedoesn't trust you. Just to do it

(19:41):
on your own. Here's how youactually do it correctly. Yeah, And
I'm like, who is this person? They live in Iowa and they have
a TikTok a cow. How doI know they're an expert? Well,
they can clean the heck out ofa vacuum. Look at their TikTok video.
Well, good luck this weekend. So to this weekend, you're doing
this the second second vacuum and thenwe're gonna run out of vacuum. And
so who knows there's a movie onthe Honeydew next time. I can't I

(20:02):
actually look forward to see what's next, because once she finishes the vacuum category
with you, sky's the limit couldbe folding the beds. Gee, I
don't do those right. I haveI have no idea. You know what
would help you? A video?I'm sure there's there's many videos. We're
at eight seven seven one, nineeight one. You can always reach us
on our iHeart app that talkback micwhen you want to send a message to

(20:26):
