was your weekend? Court? Howwas your Sinco da Mayo? Cinco de
Mayo was not too bad. Actually, you went went to our friend's place,

(00:24):
Brickhouse, just a feat from here, and they had a little Sinco
de Maya had some carne asada.Carne asada. Oh and it was some
carne sada tacos. Is really good. I saw something on Instagram about the
brick House and I was like, that looks like some good grub at that
place. So the fact that youwent and enjoyed is awesome. Yeah,
they do this I'm mispronounced this,but I think it's called pizzole. It's

(00:45):
a like a Mexican soup. Oh, it's so good. It's great.
So everything the Brick House makes. They're on Brandy Brandon. They're on Brandon.
Yeah, they're between fourth and thirdand Brandon. Yeah. Love that
place. Some good directions there.Good job. How was your weekend?
It was good. It was agreat weekend, as a matter of fact,
yesterday I was coming back from Sacramento. I was up with the Sacramento

(01:06):
river Cats all weekend, and whenI come home from the river Cats,
I passed the Conqueror Pavilion and Ihad this moment where I looked over at
the pavilion because I've lived in theBay Area for most of my life,
and I graduated and when we graduated, which is you know, graduations coming
up next month. Yeah, wehad a graduation at the pavilion, and
I thought about, Oh my gosh, I had this moment of I graduated

(01:26):
there, the pavilion is my place. And then I started thinking about concert
season. How it's so I lovegoing to concerts at the conquer Pavilion.
Then Court I got excited because allweek this week it's a chance for you
to pick your ticket here on theBreeze. Yeah, that's right. Live
Nation, it's their concert week.So we're helping celebrate by giving away tickets
and you get to choose the ticketsyou win. Yes, So we're doing

(01:49):
this at eight twenty five every daythis week. If you are the right
caller, you get to choose eithergo to get the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered
to see Chicago and Earth, Windand Fire. That'd be great show.
You could go see the Dooby brat Toyota Pavilion at Concord, also a
great show, agreed. Or youcould go to Shoreline also a great nine
great show see Train an Reo Speedwagon. I would have our hard time deciding

(02:10):
which one of these shows I wouldwant to see because I know all three
of them are going to be great. I know, I know. So
it's a pick your ticket week allweek you get to choose between those shows.
We'll do that at eight twenty fivehere on the Breeze and coming up
this morning at six twenty five theMorning Breeze. Brain tease you ready for
this? Yes, younger generations aremore likely to trust this occupation compared to

(02:32):
older Americans. Oh man, let'ssay that again. Yeah, younger generations
are more likely to trust this occupationcompared to older Americans. What is that
occupation? I've got my guests, got your guests? Okay, maybe somebody
else, says a guest about it? Eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one. I'll tell youwhat it is, coming up this morning,

Answer think so, here is thequestion posed before you. Younger generations are

(03:15):
more likely to trust this occupation comparedto older Americans, And you think you
know the answer. I think it'stattoo artists. I think it's the part
of the tattoo. Yeah, it'spretty good. Guess not correct, clearly
not right? Okay. Younger generationsare more luckily likely to trust psychics or
fortune tellers, oh, compared toolder Americans. Well, this is surprising

(03:39):
to me because I thought that Iwould have thought that older people trust this
more because I don't know, Ijust feel say it's like an older older
person says, seem like it alittle bit. Yeah, wow, my
mind is blown the opposite of whatI would have expected. You have an
ant that's totally into this, Yes, I have. I have several family
members. You do hundred percent intothis. I'm pretty into it myself.

(04:01):
I will admit. I mean,I'm not practicing it every day, but
I do think things happen for areason. I've had my fortune done on
a hundred times. I go domy aura every summer in Sedona, Arizona,
all that woo stuff. Yeah,I don't want to throw shade on
this at all, but just thefact that being a psychic and a fortune
teller is considered an occupation. Ithought it was kind of like a side
hustle. No, it's an occupation, legit occupation. Oh yeah, and

(04:26):
they can make decent money doing that. Okay, Yeah, you have you
been You've been to a You wasjust saying, oh, and every year
I go and you and you walkout and You're like, go see I
believe. I believe this one hundredpercent. No, I do. She
reads my aura. She will tellme, like where I'm stressed. She'll
tell me what kind of stress iswithout me saying anything. Yeah, I
go see her every summer. I'vegot my appointment book for for my wife's

(04:47):
big time into this. She is. Yeah, she has a similar lady.
When we go to we have aplace in Mexico, we like to
got a girl. She's got agirl. She does yes. I,
on the other hand, I'm skeptic, thinking you are. Yeah, it's
usually the guys. You guys arealways skeptic. That's why we do the
girls' trips on our own and wego see our psychics and we get it
out of our systems. Back exactly, we're at eight seven, seven,

(05:11):
nine, nine eight one again theMorning Breeze Brain Teas every weekday morning at
six twenty five, again at eightforty, and coming up this morning eight
twenty five. It's your chance topick your tickets. Oh, this is
so fun. First of all,it's just the sign that summer is coming
right, all these great concerts. So if you win, you get to
choose between Chicago and Earth Wind andFire at the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered,

(05:32):
the Doobie Brothers at the Pavilion atConquered, Or you could go to Shoreline
Amphitheater and see Train and Reo Speedwagon. Three great choices. I don't again,
I'm still struggling to decide which oneI would choose. I think I
have my choice. I think I'dgo see neither of neither. You and
I get to win, though,Cargo and Earth Wind and Fire I know,
I know, but be here ateight twenty five because you can choose

(05:53):
and win. Here on the BreezeDebbie Gibson at seven eight Here on the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court andit's time now for the Brighter Side.
This is where you talk about thegood and happy things happening in your life.
And when you think about it,there are a lot of things that
are good and happy in your life. And this is a nice opportunity for
you to stop down and think about, like what are those things. You'll

(06:15):
be surprised how many things you cancome up with. That's exactly right.
Eight seven, seven nine eighth nineeight one. That's how you reach us
brighter Side. Sponsored by Shreven Company, Luxury time Pieces, fine Designers and
Flawless Diamonds. As we mentioned,we're talking to Anna in Fremont this morning.
So Anna, you were telling usoff the air how proud you are
of your daughter. Tell us whyshe's doing a lot of new, amazing
things right now. She's seven,So it's that's nice to witness that seven

(06:39):
years old. That's kind of theage where the personalities really start to come
out, where they become unique individuals. She's very sassy but at the same
time well mannered. So I'm veryproud to have her as my co I
love you have a sassy seven yearold. Just wait till she's a teenager.
Yeah, she's starting now. Shehad a lot of confidence. Oh

(07:01):
that's amazing. It just great. You've done a good job. It sounds
like two. So congratulations, thankyou so much. Have a great day.
Thank you, have a good day. Thank you. Yeah. We're
at eight seven seven nine eight oneo nine eight one. If you have
a brighter side for us, Ihave to say I love nothing more than
being the father of two daughters. You're a great girl dad, you and

(07:25):
you embrace it. Court. It'slike you were meant to be a dad
of daughters, a girl dad.Yeah. Yeah. People have said to
me like they don't you don't youwish you had had a son, and
like I don't know, I don'tknow what I'm missing out on. Yeah,
like I just I love having twodaughters. I love girls are the
best. Your girls are the best. You and Randy have done an amazing

(07:46):
job. And again an awarding toAnna. Like again, assassiness is seven
seven years old. Just wait, just you wait, just wait again,
if you have a brighter side eightseven seven nine eight one oh nine eight
one, and it's a chance foryou to pick your ticket all week this
week at eight twenty five. Sohere are your choices. If you win,
if you're the right caller, Chicagoand Earth, Wind and Fire at

(08:07):
the Toyota Pavilion at Conquered. You'vegot the Doobie Brothers at the pavilion at
Conquered. Or you could go toShoreline to see train and Reo speedwagons.
So think about it. I stilldon't know which one I would choose.
I know old they're all great,so hard they're all great. So eight
twenty five your chance to win hereon the breeze, and coming up this
morning at seven twenty five, speakingof daughters, I noticed something about my
daughter over the weekend and her connectionto I'm going to put this under quotation

(08:31):
quotation marks older music. I don'toffen anybody, but like everybody listening and
the people in this room older music, I'll tell you about this unique connection.
Coming up at seven twenty five hereon the morning breeze. That's a
song you will hear only on thebreeze that went from Michael Bolton. It's
seven twenty four. It is theMorning Breeze with Carolyn and Cork. Good

(08:54):
morning. So Carolyn. Over theweekend we celebrated my oldest daughter, Quinn's
nineteenth birthday. That's nineteen years old. It's got to be so bizarre for
you, it's super bizarre, finalyear of her being a teenager. Yes,
and you know, we a lotof reflection the past couple of days
and weeks as we've been leading upto this, just for you or for
her, for both, Okay, for me, my wife and are just

(09:16):
like, we can't believe we havea nineteen year old yeah, in the
family. But then also we havethis realization. So Quinn is a big
music fan. She likes to walkaround with this Fleetwood Mac Rumors T shirt
on that I'm pretty sure she pickedup at the local Target. Sure,
and I've seen people do this before. People put people on the spot when
they see people wearing like an oldT shirt. They're like, oh,
Fleetwood Mac, hung, Who's what'syour favorite song? Oh, thinking that

(09:39):
they're that they're wearing the shirt, but they don't know they don't really know
the songs. Okay, So Itried that on Quinn over the weekend.
Yeah, she knew instantly, sheknew all the songs on the on the
Rumors album, and then I justrealized that she has become just a huge
Fleetwood Mac fan, specifically on thatRumors album. I already love Quinn,
but now I love her even more. But there is something to this.
There is something about out the youngermillennials and gen Z connecting to Fleetwood Mac

(10:03):
that I just can't because I'm Iwill admit I love Fleetwood Mac, not
a huge fan like you. Soso Quinn didn't necessarily grow up listening to
Fleetwood Mac in the house. Yeah, so where did she get it?
So? Where did where does thiscome from? It's just it's baffling me.
But she's not alone again again, gen Z and millennials have connected to

(10:24):
Fleetwood Mac in a way that I'mjust I can't quite not she's just Fleetwood
Mac. I see kids walking aroundall the time with retro t shirts on
for other artists or bands that area lot of them. I notice back
in the eighties because that's when Igrew up and I love eighties music.
Sure, so I see these kids, I am so proud. I love
that they're embracing. But do youcall them out on it? No?

(10:46):
Hey, they're a young man withthe Poison t shirt. Do you think
tell me your favorite Poison song?Do you think I would ever do that?
No? No, But I lovethat they're embracing our music. Look,
when I was growing up, myparents were huge Neil Diamond. Guess
who loves Neil Diamond? This girl. See, that's that's the part I
understand and grant. My wife,Randy is a pretty big Fleetwood Mac fan.

(11:07):
But again, neither of us playedthe Rumors album in Fleetwood Mac.
Their friends are probably listening. Pointlike when when my daughter came to the
Bay Area for the first time, she wanted to go over to Soslito because
that is where the Rumors album wasrecorded. You know what, next time,
Well, the next time Quinn comesto town, just have her hang
out with me because I love FleetwoodMac and I would love to go there
with her. So we'll just dothat. But I think there are people

(11:31):
listening that their kids are doing this. They're wearing the retro shirts. They're
making you proud Fleetwood Mac or not. I get I am down with this.
I'm just it's one of these thingswhere there's behavior being manifested. I
don't know where it came from, but it's okay. But it's okay.
I just I'm confused by it.We're at eight seven seven nine eight one

(11:52):
are iHeartRadio app at ninety eight whenThe Breeze or in your app store that
is free. You can use thattalkback Mike to send us a message.
That's right. Last Friday, Ricoin Pleasant Hill became our Morning Breeze Person

he basically saves somebody whose wheelchair wasgoing down the driveway. He helped that

(12:13):
person. He's helping multiple people, and he definitely deserve to be our person

our website ninety one The Breeze dotCom and tell us about somebody in your
life you believe this is also deservingto be the Morning Breeze Person of the
Week. Yeah. We do thisevery Friday morning just after seven o'clock,
so you have a whole week tothink about who that person is. Get
those nominations in ninety eight one TheBreeze dot Com. Michael Jackson Rock with

(12:39):
You seven forty It is the MorningBreeze. Fun fact about that song coord
yeah, that song was originally itwas written by Quincy Jones offered to Karen
Carpenter and she said no thanks, and Michael Jackson said, yo, thanks,
and here we are, So thereyou go. It's the Morning with

(13:00):
Carolyn and Court. So there isCourt. This bakery on the Peninsula.
It's actually two bakeries. A womanby the name of Anne Moser owns these
bakeries called Bacoss b a ckha Us, things like Backhouse, both at Bakehouse,
back House. She's from Germany,so she's got these two bakeries,
San Mateo and Burling Game, andshe has become famous. These bakeries have

(13:24):
become famous. They're in the pressa lot lately because they have a chocolate
sour dough mini loaf of bread chocolatesour dough. It's something she says,
you don't want a full size. You don't want a full loaf of this
bread, which not great with aturkey sandwich. But she said, people
will put peanut butter on it,they'll cream cheese on it. It's really

(13:46):
good almond butter. So people aregoing crazy for this bread. They even
have like semi sweet chocolate chips thatthey get from a local company and they
put those in the bread. Ohwow, and they bake it. I
mean, there's nothing like a goodbakery item. But this sounds incredible.
And where does this chocolate sour dough? Did she just think of it one

(14:07):
day and just like, Okay,we should try this chocolate. I was
reading about her. She has beenbaking for a while. She's not but
she wasn't a professional baker. She'sbaking out of her house, making stuff
for her family and then friends andthen neighbors, and then she opened a
bakery and then all of a sudden, this idea popped into her head of
let's see what we can do withchocolate and bread and sourdough, the whole

(14:28):
thing to it. Yes, likea sour chocolate Yeah, so interesting,
I know, And now I needto go to this place. It's one
of those where you know it's goingto be good. It sounds weird,
we got to we have to try. But my first thought was like,
okay, how do you eat this? I'm sure just toasted with some butter
offs, but the peanut butter forme, is the game changer because I
am a probably the world's biggest fanof Reese's peanut butter cups. Oh see,

(14:50):
that would probably be probly different butsimilar. Yeah. When it comes
to bakud though, like what's yourU? I have two go tos.
The prior primary one is like apanel chackle lot. The chocolate croissant.
Oh yeah, you can't go wrong. And again this is down this whole
idea of like bread with chocolate inthe middle. How about you. I

(15:13):
love a good old fascist Starbucks cakepop. I love the cake pops.
I don't know how they do it. I don't know how Starbucks does it,
but they do it right. Idon't. I don't know how to
do it good. They had lotsof sugar. I don't care you're you're
wearing. You spent it like fivesix seven bucksh cakes. It's so good.
I know I don't get them veryoften. Also, that box of
donuts I uh put away in thestudio last week when I thought it was

(15:35):
our one year anniversary, which Inow know isn't until this week, and
then I ate all the donuts lastweek. But all right, I'm writing
this down cake pops for Carolyn.Yes on the eighth, Thank you,
Court, I'm gonna do it allright. What is it for you though?
Your go to bakery in the BayArea or even your favorite bake good
eight seven seven nine eight one nineeight wee, Well, maybe you've had

(15:58):
this chocolate a sourdo and can tellus give us some pointers of here?

(16:42):
and Court. We were talking afew minutes ago about this bakery, actually
two of them on the Peninsula, owned by a Bay Area resident, Anne
Moser. The name of the bakeryis it looks like back house. I
don't speak German, but it's backhaus, backhouse or bake house, something like
that. The point is delicious. It's delicious. She's got a location in

(17:03):
San Mateo and Berlin Game and she'sgot this chocolate sour dough mini loaf bread.
So we started talking baked goods inyour favorite bakery in the Bay Area.
Eight seven seven nine eight one ohnine eight one Good morning, Ernest

You go to a place in Milpitascalled Balerio Orlandis and six eighty man the

exist anymore. Maybe they do,but oh, just talking about Bay Area
bakries like Winchles is like it waskind of a chain. But still,
you remember when you grew up asa kid, you're eating baked goods on

(18:53):
the weekends. The house smells likecoffee. You can't have any because you're
too young. Plus it tastes likean ashtray until you get older. Then
you drink a lot of it,and then you realize, oh, this
