Miami-based merenhouse 809 (named after the Dominican telephone code) emerged in 1999 with the release of a self-titled album. Martin Rodríguez Jr. aka El Caballero joined recording engineer, producer and former DJ Felix Erickxson aka DJ Phatman from South Bronx, NY and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts graduated Thomas E.
