Comprising Tony Maddocks (vocals), Hallam Foster (bass), Ben Doyle (guitar) and Mark Harpley (drums), rock band Above All, from Southend, Essex, England, took their primary influence from the US hardcore scene of the mid-80s. In particular, they adopted that movement's ‘straight-edge' creed, which insists on abstinence from drink, drugs and other artificial stimulants.
