Ace Kefford was a secondary member of the first lineup of the Move, playing bass and singing backup vocals (and one lead vocal, on "Yellow Rainbow") with them through 1968. He left the band sometime that year, and shortly afterward became frontman for the short-lived Ace Kefford Stand, who, he has recalled, were mostly a covers band. They did do one single, "For Your Love" b/w "Gravy Booby Jam," for Atlantic in 1969.
