Biography

b. 18 January 1944, Texas, USA. Guitarist Perkins was with Don Henley, later of the Eagles, in the late 60s band Shiloh. He replaced ‘Sneaky' Pete Kleinow in the Flying Burrito Brothers in 1971, a time when they were frustrated at their lack of progress. However, their final album, The Last Of The Red Hot Burritos, is regarded by many as the band's best work. Within six months, Perkins and fellow Burrito Chris Hillman had joined Manassas with Stephen Stills.
