Italian reed player Alberto Pinton isn't known for sticking with one instrument, but to most he's probably most familiar as one of Europe's most interesting saxophone players. Born in 1962, Pinton took to the piano and the guitar quickly, but didn't approach the saxophone until the age of 20. Learning privately, Pinton found himself studying with an instructor until 1985, when a move to Sweden convinced him to continue on his own.
