Aldo Guibovich was chiefly known as the main singer for Los Pasteles Verdes. Formed in 1970 in Chimbote (Perú) by a group of schoolmates, the band became a sensation in many Latin American countries during the '70s with its blend of romantic pop, ballads, and hits such as "Hipocresía" and "Mi Amor Imposible." When differences among its members caused the band to splinter, Guibovich moved to Mexico and continued performing under the moniker Aldo y los Pasteles Verdes.
