Alex Wilson

b. 21 November 1971, Belper, Derbyshire, England. Born of Anglo-Sierra Leonian parents, Wilson had an exotic childhood, during which he lived in Sierra Leone, Austria, Switzerland and the UK. He took up the guitar, subsequently switching to the piano when he was 17. Having attended the University of York and the University of California, he moved to London in 1993 and immersed himself in the city's salsa and jazz scenes.
