New York-based producer Alka has kept a low profile, even for experimental techno circles. Even after two full-length releases on his own Gravitonium -- 2001's Polus and 2002's Emit -- it wasn't until MRI's Frank Elting and Stefan Lieb signed him as the first act for their Resopal Schallware label that he gained a modicum of recognition in global circles.
