b. Zimbabwe. Edwards' first musical experience came as a percussionist with an oil-drum band before he moved to Zambia to study the flute. In the early 70s he returned to Zimbabwe to join the soul band Sabu as vocalist and bass player. He subsequently formed his own band, Unity, before travelling once more. In 1978 he moved to Zurich in Switzerland where he wrote songs for the Superlove group.
