Amina Claudine Myers is a vocalist, organist, pianist, composer and arranger. A member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) since 1966, she's collaborated with many of its members including Henry Threadgill and Lester Bowie. Her own music incorporates influences from blues, gospel, and modern jazz. After moving to New York from Chicago, she became a studio and touring collaborator with Arthur Blythe, Frank Lowe, Jim Pepper, Greg Osby and Charlie Haden among others.
