Conductor Andrey Boreyko has been a consistent presence on both the European and the North American conducting scenes since winning major international competitions in the late 1980s. He was named the artistic director and music director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018.
Boreyko was born in Leningrad in the Soviet Union (now St. Petersburg, Russia) on July 22, 1957.
