Angelin Chang studied with a number of prestigious teachers, with degrees and certificates from Ball State, Indiana, and Johns Hopkins universities, and the Paris Conservatoire. Her time in Paris no doubt had something to do with her 2006 recording of Messiaen's Oiseaux Exotiques with the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, conducted by John McLaughlin Williams winning a Grammy Award for best instrumental soloist performance with orchestra.
