Born José Ariel Camacho Barraza, Ariel Camacho was a singer from Angostura, Sinaloa who specialized in música norteña. He formed Ariel Camacho y los Plebes del Rancho with Omar Burgos and César Iván Sánchez, and the trio quickly attracted attention for both their musicality and the band's unusual combination of standard guitar, requinto, and tuba. After successful appearances at several state fairs, they were invited to sign with Del Records, which released their debut album, El Karma, in September 2014.
