Biography
Comprised of members Ryan Bauchman (vocals), Brent Munger (guitar), Greg Richmond (guitar), Ben Alexis (bass), and Derek Prince-Cox (drums), the Canadian metalcore outfit Arise and Ruin formed in Guelph, Ontario, in June 2005. The band took equal inspiration from American metal and European thrash, and its aggressive sounds soon caught the ear of Stereo Dynamite Recordings in nearby Toronto.
