When British Christian rock outfit Delirious? disbanded in 2009, lead singer Martin Smith went solo, releasing a handful of EPs. After performing with Jonny Bird (guitar), Steve Evans (bass), Sarah Bird (keys), and Reuben Harsant (drums) on his solo releases, Smith brought them all together in 2015 to form Army of Bones.
