ASTROPICAL are an accidental supergroup whose members come from Colombia and Venezuela. The lineup consists of Bomba Estereo vocalist Li Saumet and keyboardist José Castillo, and Rawayana vocalist Beto Montenegro and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Andrés "Fofo" Story. The group's music melds breezy, dreamy, infectious South American pop, subtle electronics, and polyrhythms from Africa and Brazil that, when combined, deliver an accessible, infectious style.
