Ata Kak is a Ghanaian musician whose blissfully eccentric 1994 album, Obaa Sima, was rescued from complete obscurity by Brian Shimkovitz, an American ethnomusicologist and DJ who reissued it two decades later on his Awesome Tapes From Africa label.
