Biography
Delivering indie pop full of lush, bouncy jangle and a melancholy surf slant, the aptly named Beach Youth hails from northern France. Their first album, Postcard, arrived in 2021.
Formed as students in Normandy in 2013, Beach Youth consists of Simon Dumottier (vocals/guitar/synths), Etienne Froidure (vocals/guitar), Louis-Antonin Lesieur (bass), and Gautier Caignaert (drums). They played shows in Paris and London for the first time in 2014 and gathered their earliest songs on the EP Singles in 2017. Another EP, Second, followed in 2019.
