Bebeto

Bebeto (not to be confused with Bebeto Castilho of Tamba Trio fame) is regarded by Brazilians as a national treasure. The singer and songwriter, along with Jorge Ben Jor and Cassiano, is among the founding fathers of sambalanço (samba rock) and, with Tim Maia, celebrated as a "samba soulman" for his willingness to graft samba and MPB onto soul, rock, funk, disco, and breezy, sophisticated pop.
