After failing to get a more conventional four-piece ensemble off the ground, vocalist/guitarist/bassist Ingmar Petersen and drummer Claus-Peter Hamisch (otherwise known as the rhythm section for traditional doom band Voodooshock) launched Beehoover as a duo in 2004 from their home base of Esslingen, Germany.
