Tenor Benjamin Bruns started his singing career, like so many other operatic artists, in a boychoir. He is a versatile figure whose repertory extends from Mozart to high modernism, and he sings opera, concert choral works, and lieder with equal enthusiasm. Bruns has been closely associated with the Staatsoper in Vienna but has performed with many other opera companies. In 2024, he was heard on a PentaTone Classics recording of Haydn's oratorio Die Schöpfung.
