Biography
Benjamin Dean Wilson's eccentric brand of indie pop blends wry character narratives with offbeat pop whimsy, falling somewhere between Stephin Merritt and Adam Green. Citing a healthy span of influences from Franz Schubert to Leonard Cohen and Meat Loaf, the Oklahoma native recorded his debut LP, Small Talk, in a small shed outside of his Tulsa home, playing all of the parts himself. Wilson's unique songs struck a chord with German label Tapete Records, which issued Small Talk internationally in April 2016. ~ Timothy Monger
