Bill Van Loo is a producer, musician, and DJ based in Ypsilanti, MI, a town located roughly 40 miles west of Detroit. Since the mid-'90s, Van Loo has been producing music that has sifted through the primary influences of Detroit techno (Carl Craig, Derrick May) and Berlin dub (Basic Channel, Rhythm & Sound), all the while incorporating less obvious strains of jazz and hip-hop.
