The Black Neon (aka Stephen Webster) had already performed and released recordings on Memphis Industries with Toby Jenkins under the name Fort Lauderdale. However, his solo endeavors under the Black Neon moniker made their recording debut on the 2001 Memphis Industries 7" single "You're So Vain."
