The mysteriously masked five-piece BLACKGOLD broke out of nowhere leading a new wave of nü metal. Debuting in 2022 with their statement of intent "It's Art," the group went on to release three EPs, Blackgold, 2023's Volume 2, and 2024's Back with Another One. Formed in the U.K. by vocalist Spookz, guitarist Judge, bassist Six6, DJ SP3, and drummer Lux in 2020, the five-piece looked to the classic age of nü metal for inspiraton, taking cues from Slipknot, Korn, and Limp Bizkit.
