If indie-rockers Kraftklub set the east German town of Chemnitz as an artistic locale to watch, the arch indie-pop of Blond further underlined the city as having something to say. It doesn't hurt that four of the group's members are siblings - but Blond's gift is their penchant for cutting lyrics against a musical background that wouldn't be out of place on American alternative radio in the early 2010s.
