Blonds' stylish, electronic-infused indie pop is imbued with romance and melodrama. Comprised of couple Cari Rae and Jordy Asher, the group (not to be confused with the Brooklyn by way of Oberlin dance music duo Blondes) formed in West Palm Beach, Florida, and self-released its first EP, Dark Roots, in November 2011. The EP's dark wistfulness attracted attention from outlets like Stereogum, Paste Magazine, and Rolling Stone as Blonds began writing their first album. By early 2012 Rae and Asher moved to Brooklyn and joined producer Nicolas Vernjes (Spoon, Dirty Projectors, Deer...
